She looks happy and George looks arrogant, as usual.
The defense went to discuss certain details about their defense for this hearing. From what I have heard so far, it doesn't sound like Strickland w/approve the money.
New attorney on the case pro bono.
BJ, do you have your tv on TruTv?? Very interesting.

Jeanne Casarous is saying that when Casey was in jail the first time, she made friends w/a female inmate and began writing her and has written to her in jail. The State has the letters, they have been sealed..and the letters WILL play out at trial. Casarous says they are NOT a confession.
These letters are sealed.

Bozo was approached with a book deal and it was unethical for him to sign a book deal....money was not discussed. He was advised it was unethical.
He has received 80 some K so far from Casey. Strickland says the source is relavant. 5K from a DONOR, 200K came from deal that was done by Casey with ABC news. No other details with ABC. Rumors of deal are completely false that he is getting 700K after trial.

LETTER
Prosecutors on Thursday disclosed that murder suspect Casey Anthony wrote 50 notes or letters to a woman she befriended while in the Orange County Jail, and that those notes may be used as evidence.
In paperwork released Thursday, prosecutors don't say what's in the notes, only that they don't include a confession.
Authorities handed over the notes to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for an investigation.
FDLE agents interviewed the woman, now in an undisclosed federal prison, on Feb. 12, according to court paperwork.
The woman told authorities that she befriended Anthony while in the Orange County Jail, that the notes were passed while both were inmates there and that once the woman was moved to the federal prison, all communication with Anthony ended.
She told FDLE agents she did not want to "get anyone in trouble" but said a county corrections officer may have helped the women communicate.
Authorities found out about the woman and the notes when a state inmate contacted the Orange County Sheriff's Office, saying she, too, had had communications with Anthony while in the Orange County Jail.
Authorities interviewed that woman Jan. 22, and she gave "potentially relevant" information, according to prosecution paperwork, but it was not news that Anthony had confessed.
She also told authorities about the federal inmate who had received the notes.
All of this information was sealed from the public and Anthony's attorneys by Circuit Judge Stan Strickland last month. It was unsealed this week because the FDLE investigation into the notes and how they got from one jail inmate to another had concluded.
The outcome of that investigation was not immediately clear.
Anthony, 23, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Cayley Marie Anthony. The state is seeking the death penalty.
The child disappeared a year and a half ago. Her remains were found five months later.

I see it!! But, I don't have any of the little cursors above for the smileys or bold, etc.
Casey doesn't have a dime
Casey Anthony's lawyers are in court right now trying to convince the judge to allow the state to help pay her legal bills.
One new development...High-profile Orlando criminal lawyer Cheney Mason has joined Anthony's defense team which includes lead attorney Jose Baez, as well as Andrea Lyon. Mason said he is working pro bono.
Anthony's defense team recently filed a motion asking she be found indigent for costs -- meaning the state would pay for certain expenses related to the murder case. They are not asking for funds to pay the defense attorneys.
One sticking point for the judge is whether Casey Anthony has received offers for any movie or book deals that would provide income later. All attorney's deny knowledge of any current or future offers.
Anthony filed affidavits indicating fees of $89,454.83 and $22,500 have been paid or will be paid to Baez and Lyon, respectively.

I don't like that Cheney Mason at all. How dare he bring up what the State has spent in costs and try to compare it to the defense. What an idiot!!
New evidence unsealed
Right before Anthony’s indigency hearing got underway, the State Attorneys Office unsealed evidence regarding conversations that Casey had with other inmates at the Orange County Jail. In February 2010 Judge Stan Strickland order the motion sealed. He unsealed the document on March 16, 2010 and it was released to the public today.
The document states the following:
1. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by an inmate in the Florida Department of Correction, who stated that she had communications with the Defendant while in the Orange County Jail.
2. That inmate was interviewed on or about the 22nd day of January 2010 and relayed potentially relevant statements by the Defendant, which are not in the nature of a confession, and gave the name of another inmate who also had communication with the Defendant.
3. The second inmate, presently incarcerated in Federal Prison, was interviewed on or about the 27th day of January 2010 and reluctantly confirmed communication with the Defendant adding that she had received approximately fifty written communications from the Defendant which were then in the possession of another individual whose identity was provided to the Orange County Sheriffs Office.
4. The Orange County Sheriffs Office contacted the named individual, confirmed the existence of these documents and took possession of the originals.
5. The undersigned and co-counsels have examined the documents and they do appear to contain relevant statements of the Defendant, which are not in the nature of a confession.
6. Based upon the past history of this case and in anticipation of accusations of misconduct by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the State Attorney requested that the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (F.D.L.E.) take over the investigation of the communications between the Defendant and these witnesses.
7. In a subsequent the interview with F.D.L.E. on February 12 2010, the federal inmate detailed how her friendship with the Defendant began and developed, how the documents came into existence, were transmitted and were maintained. She stated the friendship and all communication ended when she was transferred to federal custody. She stated that the friendship was not at the request of any law enforcement personnel nor was she asked to relay any information obtained to any law enforcement personnel. She did imply that an Orange County Corrections officer may have facilitated the communication once the friendship had begun but indicated a desire not to “get anyone in trouble”.
8. The F.D.L.E is in the process of completing the investigation, requested by the State Attorney, to determine the involvement of any corrections personnel and whether a violation of law or corrections policies was committed.
9. It is anticipated that the investigation should be completed within the next thirty days and that any premature revelation of these matters could compromise the integrity of the investigation.
New attorney joins Anthony defense team
Casey Anthony has a new attorney. Orlando attorney J. Cheney Mason has joined Casey's defense team. He said he would work on the case pro bono.
Judge Strickland will decide whether to approve the declaration of Casey being indigent. That means the state would pick up the tab for her defense.
So how exactly would it work? FOX 35 talked to former Brevard County judge Oscar Hotusing. He said one can be indigent by the courts declaring and confirming the proof that there is no home ownership or any hidden assets. In this regard, according to officials, Casey Anthony is eligible and will be filed, indigent for purposes of cause. The judge will control how much money she receives and is allowed spend through out the case.
