David Nixson - Missing Since Friday, July 6, 1984 Nixonenhanced2

Name: David Nixon
Date last seen: Friday, July 6, 1984
Case Number: Inc #84-141155 / 07-141155

Description: Male, White, 5'10" (178 cm), 150 lbs. (68.6 kg.) medium build, fair complexion, light brown curly hair that was normally worn short, blue eyes and sometimes wore glasses. There are no dental records available as David never had any dental work done. Fingerprints and Familial DNA have been obtained.

Circumstances: David Nixon was renting a room on Quigley Road and would visit his family who lived on Glen Echo Drive, on an almost daily basis. On Friday, July 6, 1984 after visiting with his mother he left the family home around 11:00 am. David's uncle then spoke with him between 12:00 and 1:00 pm in downtown Hamilton around King and James Street. The uncle invited David to join him for a coffee but David declined stating he was late and had to go and meet someone. David was last seen walking westbound on King Street West from James Street.

There is some suggestion that David may have had a female friend in England who he exchanged letters with. There was an earlier occasion when David unexpectedly traveled to British Columbia but after arriving there he made contact with his family and returned home. David had a very good relationship with family members and it is very uncharacteristic for him to leave and not be in contact. At the time that David went missing he was 23 years old. David had been employed in retail sales, pizza delivery, manual labour type positions and at one time sold Amway products. David was a religious person who would often read the bible and would receive literature from the World Wide Church of God in British Columbia.

The Nixon family have traveled across the country searching for their son and distributing fliers with no success. The family believes that David has been the victim of foul play and hope that David will one day be found so they can find closure.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Hamilton Police Service, their local Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
