Woman attacked and sexually assaulted on south Jeffco bike path

Authorities are looking for a man suspected of attacking and sexually assaulting a woman on a Jefferson County bike path.
On Friday, a woman was walking on the bike bath near C-470 and Wadsworth Boulevard when she entered a tunnel that goes underneath C-470, according to a news release from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
After she entered the tunnel, a man attacked and assaulted the woman.
The suspect is described as being 30 to 40 years old. He appeared to be 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, weigh 175 to 185 pounds and has a lanky and athletic build with light brown hair.
Deputies on bike patrol will be monitoring the path on Saturday, and handing out fliers with a composite sketch of the suspect.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Jeffco Sheriff's Office tip line at 303-271-5612.

Suspect May Have Had Scratches On His Neck And A Tan Line On His Forehead, Possibly From Wearing A Bike Helmet

Authorities are continuing to hunt for a man suspected of attacking and sexually assaulting a woman on a Jefferson County bike path in late January.
Authorities now say that the suspect may have had scratches on his neck and a tan line on his forehead, possibly from wearing a bike helmet.
The victim scratched him during the Jan. 25 attack, police said.
