I have discussed many times with fellow bloggers about the evidence in Caylee's case, is there a smoking gun? Is there more evidence? When will it be released? This opinion by Wendy Murphy who is on JVM & M Galanos alot, explains the loop holes in the "Sunshine Law" & some of the exclusions of info we may not get or see until trial. I really love her passion for Justice & victims.

I know I saw another thread with that link and that article too, but I can't find it. It might be back several pages by now and need bumping up. I enjoy her writing very much though and it is an excellent article.

The medical examiner said that plants and roots were found "growing into [little Caylee's] vertebrae" indicating "the body was placed there months prior to being found," which is consistent with "the body being placed there soon after the date of [Caylee] being last seen alive"—sometime around June 15, 2008.

Caylee's mother, Casey Anthony, has professed her innocence, but she's facing first-degree murder charges and the death penalty because of the following evidence: Her failure to report her daughter missing for more than a month; her repeated lies to police about the circumstances of Caylee's disappearance; the discovery of hair and decomposition material from the child's body in the trunk of Casey's car; and the fact that Caylee's remains showed up in a swamp close to the Anthony home. These facts weigh heavily in favor of Casey's guilt, and new information from the autopsy adds a bit more to the pile.

Nevertheless, there's a good chance Casey will be acquitted if that's all the state has.

I share some of her concerns. I guess we just have to stay tuned and see. She also in this article gives the reader reasons why we can still remain hopeful that there is a smoking gun but the Florida Sunshine Law allows has loopholes that make it legal not to release evidence yet. I sure hope the state has more than what we have seen so far.

Excellent article tough. Deserved a second read (imo).

This article was written & published in the dailybeast on July 8th. If there was another thread or similiar thread, I didn't see it, maybe it was a similiar topic by a different author. If it is the same, my mistake.

Wendy Murphy is one of my favorite legal experts as she is so outspoken about victim's rights & the artile answered some of the questions I had about "a smoking gun." I wish this trial was soon rather than later, I am praying that there is a fingerprint or partial print that could be released w/KC's print on it tso the defense would consider a PLEA, but, BOZO would just say it was planted. LOL~
