Massachusetts Police Accuse Ann Lussier Of Forcing Her 10-year-old Daughter To Strip On Skype
A 41-year-old Massachusetts mother is facing child endangerment charges after she allegedly forced her daughter to pose nude in front of a web camera.
Ann Lussier, of Attleboro, says that a man impersonating a Florida photographer used the Internet phone application Skype to dupe her into thinking she had entered a mother-daughter bikini contest with a $20,000 grand prize, according to the Attleboro Sun Chronicle.
Sitting in front of their computer, Lussier allegedly demanded her 10-year-old daughter to strip down to her bra and underwear before insisting she completely disrobe. The man on the other side of the camera, who police identified as Joshua Dunfee, of Oxford Junction, Iowa., hid his identity by teling Lussier that his web cam had broken.
"There are sickos out there, and they let them go. But I get locked up. I'm a victim," Lussier told the local newspaper.
Authorities arrested Lussier and Dunfee following a month-long investigation which began when the mother told her twin sister about how "uncooperative" her daughter behaved throughout the incident. The sister contacted police after hearing the young girl crying during the phone call.
"The intention the twin sister had was to report that someone, this pervert, was taking advantage of someone vulnerable and their goal was to get him," Lussier's lawyer, Ernest Solomon, told ABC News.
Lussier is charged with "exhibiting a child in a state of nudity, indecent assault and battery on a person under 14, and reckless endangerment of a child," according to NBC affiliate KSEE-4.
Dunfee will be sent to Massachusetts to face child pornography charges.

Re: Massachusetts Police Accuse Ann Lussier Of Forcing Her 10-year-old Daughter To Strip On Skype
CBS) - A Massachusetts mother was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly forcing her 10-year-old daughter to pose nude for a man watching over Skype. Her lawyer says she was hoping to win a $20,000 in a mommy-daughter modeling contract.
The New York Daily News reports that Ann Lussier, 41, was "duped" by a man posing as a fashion photographer when she made her daughter pose in a bikini -- and then nothing at all.
Police identified Joshua Dunfee, of Oxford Junction, Iowa, as the man behind the camera. He claimed to be in Florida, and said they wouldn't be able to see him because his computer's camera was broken. He was arrested and will be sent to Massachusetts to face federal pornography charges.
Court documents stated that "the parent had to show the man what both she and the Victim looked like with no clothes on, reportedly so he would see the shape of their bodies."
ABC News reported that Lussier's twin sister called police to report the incident after the 10-year-old's mother called her to complain about how "uncooperative" her daughter had been. The aunt allegedly hear the girl crying in the background during the phone call.
Lussier was arrested on charges of child endangerment on Tuesday, but she and her lawyer, Ernest Solomon, insist they were fooled by a "pervert."
"There are sickos out there, and they let them go. But I get locked up. I'm a victim," Laussier said to the Attleboro Sun Chronicle.
Solomon said, "The intention the twin sister had was to report that someone, this pervert, was taking advantage of someone vulnerable and their goal was to get him."
The mother was released on bail on the condition that she stay away from her children. Her lawyer did not comment on whether or not Lussier admitted to the circumstances in court. She is reportedly seeking professional help.
The Massachusetts Department of Children and Families is investigating the case.

Re: Massachusetts Police Accuse Ann Lussier Of Forcing Her 10-year-old Daughter To Strip On Skype
A Massachusetts mom claims she was duped by a sick perv posing as a fashion photographer when she forced her 10-year-old daughter to pose nude over an Internet live chat.
Ann Lussier, 41, of Attleboro was hoping to win a $20,000 mommy-daughter modeling contract when she forced her pre-teen daughter to pose in a bikini - and then completely disrobe - for a man watching on Skype, her lawyers say.
"The parent had to show the man what both she and the Victim looked like with no clothes on, reportedly so he could see the shape of their bodies," court documents said.
The gullible mom apparently didn't think it was fishy when the phony shutterbug, who claimed to be in Florida, said they wouldn't be able to see him because his computer's camera was broken, the Attleboro Sun Chronicle reported.
Lussier's twin sister reported the incident to police after the wannabe-model mom complained to her about how "uncooperative" the daughter had been, ABC news reported. The aunt also heard the little girl bawling.
Lussier was arrested and charged with child endangerment on Tuesday.
Police eventually identified Joshua Dunfee, from Oxford Junction, Iowa, as the online sex predator.
He was arrested and is being sent to Massachusetts to face federal porn charges.
Lussier and her lawyer, Ernest Solomon, insist they were tricked by a "pervert."
"There are sickos out there, and they let them go. But I get locked up. I'm a victim," Lussier told to the Sun Chronicle.

A gullible mother allegedly made her daughter pose nude for a stranger on Skype, in the hope of winning a $20,000 mom-child bikini photo shoot.
Ann Lussier, 41, of Attleboro, Massachusetts, is facing child endangerment charges, after she allegedly made her daughter strip naked, while a man who claimed to be a photographer watched through a webcam.
Lussier and her daughter were unable to see the man, who said he was in Florida, because he told them his camera was broken.
'The parent had to show the man what both she and the victim looked like with no clothes on, reportedly so he could see the shape of their bodies,' court documents stated.
The guileless mother was only caught when she told her twin sister how 'uncooperative' her daughter had been, according to the documents.
The aunt had allegedly heard her distressed niece crying in the background and reported the incident to authorities, ABC reported.
Joshua Dunfee, in fact from Oxford Junction, Iowa, who authorities allege is the man on the other end of the camera, is to face federal child pornography charges.
Lussier was also arrested, but was freed on bail under the condition she stay away from her children.
Lussier told the Attleboro Sun Chronicle: 'There are sickos out there, and they let them go. But I get locked up. I'm a victim.'
John Lussier, the girl's father, said that it was 'a very sensitive matter'.
Ernest Solomon, Lussier's lawyer claimed his client was the victim of a 'pervert.'
He told ABC News: 'The intention the twin sister had was to report that someone, this pervert, was taking advantage of someone vulnerable and their goal was to get him.'
'This whole event has been devastating for my client and her family'
Solomon said Lussier was staying with relatives and had decided to get professional help

UPDATE: Mom Recieves Two And A Half Years In Jail, Will Likely Serve 3 Months Of That Sentence
March 1, 2012
A mother who made her 10-year-old daughter pose nude for a stranger over a webcam has been jailed for up to two and a half years.
The 41-year-old, from Attleboro, Massachusetts, is likely to serve just three months after pleading guilty to a charge of misdemeanour assault and battery under a plea deal.
Her name has not been released so that her daughter's identity can be protected.
The woman said she believed the man on the other end of the webcam was a photographer, and that she and her daughter were in with a chance of winning a $20,000 mother-child bikini photo shoot.
Neither the mother nor her daughter was able to see the man, who said he was in Florida, as he told them his Skype webcam was broken.
'The parent had to show the man what both she and the victim looked like with no clothes on, reportedly so he could see the shape of their bodies,' court documents stated.
Joshua Dunfee, 30, from Oxford Junction, Iowa, is accused of being the fake photographer, and now faces child pornography charges. He denies the allegations, but is being held in custody after a judge declared him a danger to the public.
The case only came to light when the mother telephoned her twin sister about the incident, complaining that her daughter had been 'uncooperative'.
According to the court papers, the child's aunt heard her young niece crying in the background, and reported the matter to the authorities.
Prior to her guilty plea, the woman's lawyer Ernest Solomon told ABC News his client had been the victim of a 'pervert'.
'The intention the twin sister had was to report that someone, this pervert, was taking advantage of someone vulnerable and their goal was to get him,' he said.
'This whole event has been devastating for my client and her family.'
The girl's father said of the case, 'This is a very sensitive matter, and that's all I have to say.'
The mother herself told the Attleboro Sun Chronicle: 'There are sickos out there, and they let them go. But I get locked up. I'm a victim.'
When she leaves prison, the woman will be required to undergo parenting counselling as a condition of her probation.
