Velda Leyba - Cold Case Missing Persons

On December 6, 1992, at about 8:30 p.m., Velda Leyba telephoned her daughter and said that she was on her way for a visit. Velda had planned to celebrate her daughter's birthday.

Unfortunately, Velda never arrived at her daughter's residence nor has she been seen or heard from since. It is completely out of character for Velda not to have contact with her daughter.

Velda was driving a light blue, 1987 Chrysler when she disappeared. About three months later (February 25, 1993), the car was found at 7200 Isleta SW in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Velda Leyba is a Spanish female who was 39 years old at the time of her disappearance. She is five feet tall and weighs 115 pounds. Velda has brown eyes and tinted blonde, medium length hair. She also has a deep scar on the corner of her left eye.
