COEUR D'ALENE -- Police in Coeur d'Alene are looking for a missing 12-year-old boy.
At 5:30 p.m., Coeur d'Alene Police received a report of the missing boy. Chance Joshua Belnap was last seen by his mother Friday morning at 7:00 a.m. as he left on foot for Woodland Middle School. His mother, Kristi Belnap, said she found out Friday afternoon that Chance never arrived at school.
The Belnaps live in the 3600 block of Pineridge Drive in Coeur d'Alene. Police said Kristi Belnap has contact friends of Chance, and no one has had contact with him.
Police have searched the surrounding area but have no leads as to his whereabouts. Chance was last seen wearing a red hoody over another shirt, blue jeans, and black and blue shoes. He is 5'10", 120 pounds, with brown and blue eyes.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Chance Belnap is asked to call Coeur d'Alene Police at 208-769-2320.

Every time I hear of Coeur d'Alene, ID, I think of the kidnapping of Shasta and Dylan Groene and the horrible murder of Dylan in front of Shasta. I hope this boy is OK.

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -- A missing 12-year-old boy was found after the Coeur d'Alene PD issued an AMBER Alert early Saturday morning.
The missing child is Chance Joshua Belnap,12 of Coeur d'Alene. Investigators said that Chance was last seen leaving for school at 7 a.m. Friday. Officials reported that he never made it to the school.
Officials called the AMBER alert off Saturday afternoon after the boy was safely located.
Chance Belnap was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with black markings on the shoulder and chest, black backpack, blue jeans and black/blue shoes.
A neighbor reported possibly seeing Chance in a wooded area near the Belnap home at around 9 a.m. Friday.
The family said that Chance tends to stick to a routine of leaving from home, arriving at school and returning directly home. The family said they are concerned for the boy's safety because he broke this routine. What are they implying????
