Tasha Miller, Mom Of Missing Baby Reaches Plea Deal

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The mother of a missing newborn is expected to plead guilty to child neglect.
Tasha Miller and her attorney have been meeting at the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office over the past few weeks. Based upon those meetings the prosecutor decided to offer her a plea deal.
“This is a difficult case on all fronts,” Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi said. “While there is no evidence that Ms. Miller intended the harm, she must face the reality and result of her actions.”
Police believe Miller delivered the baby in her apartment back in May. Miller claimed the child later died but she has never disclosed what she did with the baby .
Police launched a full-scale search effort to find the infant. Search teams combed local Dumpsters and landfills for the child’s remains, but no body was recovered. And police believe there is little chance the infant’s remains will be found.
Brizzi is expected to recommend a 20 year sentence in prison with 16 years suspended and four years in the Marion County Community Corrections.

WHAT?????? Only four years for killing your newborn when she could have called 911 or taken it to any hospital ER with no questions asked? This is b.s.!

Frankly thats pretty typical - Im surprised they gave her any prison time at all. Crimes against children
are never punished equally with crimes against adults.
