The October 12 date for Casey Anthony’s first-degree murder trial has been
cancelled after a Tuesday morning meeting between the defense, prosecution and the judge. Eyewitness News was the only media at the meeting.

Additionally, the judge said that he wants an affidavit from Amy Huizenga showing she wants to invoke her right to a speedy trial in the check fraud case that the prosecution wants to move forward on. Casey is charged with stealing her friend's checkbook and buying personal items with forged checks.

No it is not a shocker. We will be lucky to have it happen in 2010 sometime. Thanks for posting the update we appreciate it.

So, its basically up to Amy... Hmmm, I bet shes not too excited to have her business plastered all over the news courtesy of the former BFF!

BJ Thank you for posting this. I am sure Amy wants a speedy trial. Who wouldn’t besides KC and her supporters?

i thought we all knew this would be postponed to 2010 but i guess it wasnt official. maybe when the put the death penalty on the table

Some of the things I am certain Andrea Lyons is going to do is

a) Try to put a sock in Baez's mouth
b) put a sock in C&G's mouth if at all possible which is probably mission impossible but she will try
c) put the trial off as long as she possibly can to let the hullaballo die down.
d) stay out of the spotlight as much as possible herself

The less steamed up the public is at the time of the trial, the better. it's one of the reasons Andra Yates 2nd trial went so well. The public's indignation had died down by then.

yeah and caseys parents havent helped much at all.
