Can hear now...Bozo is speaking. He is arguing against motion by Orlando Sentinel to keep KC's visitation and commissary order records public...He is offering another case as a precedent that the judge consider.

KC is there as well as CA and GA...KC has her hair pulled back in a bun...She has on that ugly green blouse with the puffed sleeves at the top...There is another lady at the table with Cheney...I guess that is the Finnell lady(?)

Re: Casey Anthony hearing 10-28-2010
Attorney for Orange County Sheriff's Office is speaking, saying that they just need guidance from the court since the opinion from District Court of Appeals came down on the Bent case...KC looks very pale and face is thin, circles under her eyes...Counsel objects to inclusion of mail added in just today by Bozo, was not in written motion...

She is asking for $2500 more for her pre-trial stuff, plus $1000 for copying of records...JP seems to think that Barrett and Finnell's work is overlapping...She is mentioning traveling expenses, but JP is reminding her that JAC says that they do not have to pay for these since KC got private counsel...

She wants to go to Warren, OH to discuss Casey between the ages of 1 - 3. Give me a break. She tried calling these people and met w/resistance. She thinks if she just goes and knocks on their door, they will talk to her. Perry does not buy it at all.
Re: Casey Anthony hearing 10-28-2010
Bozo doesn't know how much money he has left for copying...JP is making him to look like a fool again! KC looks like she is about to laugh at the situation...She looked up at the monitor and then straightened her blouse...

Good Gravy. I forgot to turn the tv on to watch this mess.
JP is a very patient man. I wonder if he will last through trial or if this one might just do him in.
I am a bit suprised Baez is sticking so long. Losing his home made me pause and wonder if he has his priorities in order.
I feel like I have aged 10 years since I first heard Cindy screaming about "Smells like a dead body in the car"!

Casey Defense Request To Seal Jail Records Denied
Posted: 6:18 am EDT October 29, 2010
Updated: 6:25 pm EDT October 29, 2010
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Casey Anthony returned to court Friday afternoon with her legal team to try for a third time to seal all public records pertaining to her stay at the Orange County jail, including her phone calls and visits, as well as her commissary purchases. Her defense team also tried to get more taxpayer money for its defense.
CASEY HEARING: Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4
CASEY ANTHONY IN COURT: See Images
INSIDE COURTROOM: See Cindy, George, Lawyers
VIDEO REPORT: Defense Request Denied
However, Chief Judge Belvin Perry denied the defense's request to seal her jail records and said he's not going to write them a blank check.
Casey walked into the courtroom shortly before 1:30pm, with her hair pulled back in a bun and wearing a green blouse. Casey looked thinner, and at times seemed like she was going to cry.
Casey wiped her eyes and nose as she sat down alongside her attorneys, Jose Baez and Cheney Mason. Casey wore no shackles in court, months after her leg irons got caught between a courthouse elevator and the floor.
Cindy and George Anthony were also in court.
Casey's defense has already cost more than $300,000 and Judge Perry didn't give everything to the defense that it asked for.
The defense hasn't taken advantage of all the hours of work that have already been authorized. It appears to want to double up on work that it said had already been done. But Judge Perry does not seem impressed with how it's used some of the taxpayers' money so far.
"When you start talking about taxpayer money, that's a different story," Judge Perry said to Baez.
The defense had asked for another 300 hours at $40 an hour for its private investigator, Jeremy Lyons. However, after Judge Perry looked at documentation of what Lyons has done on the taxpayers' dime so far, Perry gave him only one-fifth of that.
"Okay Mr. Baez I'll give you another 60 hours and then we'll see what you do with that," Judge Perry said.
The judge received conflicting answers about how many authorized hours of work have already been done as the defense asked for more.
Casey's new death penalty expert, Jacksonville attorney Ann Finnell, will not be reimbursed for her travel expenses as she had requested, because the defense has already spent $275,000 in private funds and $40,000 in taxpayers' money.
She asked for $7,500 for a psychological expert to examine Casey, but only got one-third of the amount.
Finnell also asked for money to travel to Ohio to talk to Casey's relatives in person, because they were not cooperative over the phone.
Judge Perry said he might authorize payment if appointments can be made in advance.
"I am not going to write an open check. I'm just not," Judge Perry said.
Judge Perry warned the defense if they don't meet their deadlines for deposing witnesses, he will schedule it for them when and where he decides.
"This case has gone on for quite some time. We just need to do what we need to do. I've tried to make a schedule. I've tried to be flexible, but in January, it will be on my schedule," he said. "It is critical that we try to meet those deadlines."
The hearing ended at 3:27pm.
DEFENSE DEPOSES LEAD FBI AGENT
Casey Anthony's lawyers are deposing the lead FBI agent on the case Thursday, Special Agent Nick Savage. Savage and other federal agents were called in to investigate the out-of-state leads.
Former meter reader Roy Kronk's son was to be deposed Thursday as well, but court records show Brandon Sparks is not cooperating. Sparks claims Kronk, who found Caylee's remains, appeared to have inside information.
VIDEO REPORT: Lead FBI Agent Deposed
On Friday, Judge Belvin Perry will again hear arguments on whether to seal some of Casey Anthony's jail records. The new argument is based on a recent appeals court ruling.
However, prosecutors say the ruling isn't relevant in the case, because it applies to personal phone calls and not phone, visitation and jail account records.
Meanwhile, one of Casey's defense witnesses, who is under investigation for allegedly falsifying records, has a new lawyer. Texas EquuSearch volunteer Laura Buchanan has hired a Fort Lauderdale attorney.
Buchanan is accused of trying to help Casey by falsifying search records to make it appear that Caylee's body was not in the woods three months before she was found there.
CASEY'S DEFENSE WANTS EXPERTS REIMBURSED
Casey Anthony's defense team is proposing set rates for travel cost reimbursements for its out-of-state experts.
VIDEO REPORT: Defense Wants Reimbursements
The defense wants its experts to be able to stay at $150 per night hotels at taxpayers' expense and wants them to be reimbursed for business calls and mileage. Attorneys are trying to get Chief Judge Belvin Perry to approve the reimbursements.
The defense is also asking the court to double the expense allowance for its state private investigator. Judge Perry set a limit of 300 hours for the Florida private investigator and 100 hours for an out-of-state investigator.
The defense said it has used up all that time, costing taxpayers $16,000, and now wants taxpayers to pay for another 300 hours. Meanwhile, the defense's private investigator has been accused of harassing prosecution witnesses who helped search for Caylee.

Re: Casey Anthony hearing 10-28-2010
I just spent the last half hour of my life listening and watching the video of Casey in court.
My observations. Baez is not wearing his wedding ring. Casey is still not giving Cindy the time of day. She pauses but never looks her way. Nasty bitch.
Baez is going to have to "get it". In January Judge Perry is going to set up appointments for him.
I thought it interesting when the judge mentioned what they have been doing the last two years.
Casey's boobs are either getting bigger or that blouse was revealing. I could not take my eyes off them. lol
Gosh they have to be tired of hearing themselves talk.

LOL you guys kill me.
Hey I call them like I see them and if me..a married old woman could not take my eyes "off them". Then just think of the males in the courtroom.
Casey still trying to keep the "men" interested.
Everybody else was dressed appropriatly for court. But not our gal Casey. I expected those baliffs to "bring in the pole" any minute.
Judge Perry is my hero. He has to put up with this nonsense.

Re: Casey Anthony hearing 10-28-2010
Judge Perry puts Bozo right in his place and I do have to admit that Casey held her own in the courtroom. She doesn't hardly blink. It seems like she now realizes the huge mess she is in and I do not think she is happy at all about LKB leaving. I often wonder if SHE wonders if she made a huge mistake in hiring Baez. There are any number of well known, high powered defense attorneys who most probably would have taken her case pro bono just for the fame it would bring them.
Re: Casey Anthony hearing 10-28-2010
I was over at JVM reading about the little missing Shelby. Under the comments I read this. Can it be true? Is Baez wife expecting? Wowser.

This is a comment I picked up over at InSessions. I wasn't aware there was "more to come"? Have we discussed this here..somewhere?
"The Sunshine Law applies to the defense as well. When the defense gives the state their evidence, statements, reports (Discovery) that will be subject to the Sunshine Law, too . The media will obtain it and publish it if they want to - just as they did with the state's discovery.
So far the defense has not given any discovery to the state. They've chosen, instead, to blather about it publicly with opinion and misinformation. But there is a deadline for discovery and the defense will have to hand over what they have (if they have anything) soon - well before trial.
