A Birthday tribute for our Caylee. Gone, But NEVER Forgotten.
Sweet, dear Caylee Marie. August 9th, 2011...you my dear would have been six years old. Your life was cut far too short. May you be in a better place now. Running and playing with the other children, chasing butterflies, singing songs. I will never forget you beautiful little girl. You captured my heart...and in my heart you will always stay.

UPDATED: 11:15 am EDT August 8, 2011
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Tuesday will mark what would have been Caylee Anthony's 6th birthday.
A nonprofit group plans to mark the occasion by unveiling plans for a memorial to be built along Suburban Drive, where the toddler's remains were found three years ago.
The project is expected to include a walkway, and possibly a brick wall, to commemorate victims of abuse.
Meanwhile, George and Cindy Anthony's attorney said the couple's plan for a foundation to honor their granddaughter is moving forward and should be announced officially later in August.

Re: A Birthday tribute for our Caylee. Gone, But NEVER Forgotten.
Dear Everyone
I'm sitting here in Heaven
With my angel friends around.
They make me smile and giggle
And they keep me safe and sound.
I didn't ask to come here
But where I was I was in the way.
And my mama had some other plans
For me that fateful day.
My mama really loved me
Cuz she even told me so,
But then she hurt me really bad
And the angels said I must go.
I really miss my mama
She was my bestest friend.
And if my angel friends would let me
Lots of hugs to her I'd send.
My mama did a bad thing
That's what they told me here
And mama must live with herself
Cuz her judgment day is near.
I hope the other mommies know
What their little ones are worth
Cuz there are lots of Caylees in Heaven
But their angels are with them on earth.
And I hope their mamas love them
And don't forget to say
I am just so glad you're here with me,
You are never in the way.
Cuz we are little children
And we love you oh so much
We just want your hugs and kisses
But not that hurting kind of touch.
So while I'm here in Heaven
I just want the world to know
That Caylee wasn't in the way
And she didn't want to go.
I didn't want to leave my room
My dollies and my toys
But now I play in Heaven
With the other girls and boys.
I know the world is sad today
Cuz I am gone and free she stays
But remember this
When you look at the stars
That God is the judge
And the real trial's not far.
Thank you for loving me like you do
And my angel friends send their blessings too.
Love,
Caylee

George, Cindy Attend Memorial On Caylee's Birthday

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- A nonprofit organization is buying the land where Caylee Anthony's bones were found and it wants to build a permanent memorial there in her honor, WFTV was told on Tuesday. George and Cindy Anthony were at the site Tuesday evening to pay their respects. They released balloons in her honor.

TAKE SURVEY: Opinion On Memorial
Visitors of the site told WFTV reporter Kathi Belich that they think the memorial a good idea, but they have a lot of questions about the nonprofit organization called Bring Kids Home.
"I think it's good, so that the whole state of Florida won't forget what happened here and how the law diverted everything,” said Iris Ramos, a memorial supporter.
Bring Kids Home has been around for about five years and has offices in seven states. The volunteer organization said it wants to build a $200,000 memorial for Caylee in the middle of the swamp area where her body was discarded three years ago.
Since then, people have come from all over the country, almost daily, to pay their respects to a little girl they'd never met, but who captured their hearts. Many paid their respects on Tuesday, on what would have been her 6th birthday.
"Being a mom myself, I just couldn't imagine leaving a baby out in the woods like she did. So, it's so sad. No baby deserves that,” said visitor Krystle Murray.
The organization's most recent tax filing shows it collects less than $50,000 per year. The director told WFTV that the organization does not pay any salaries, operates a tip line for missing children and is looking for $25,000 in donations for the memorial. The group already has a contract on the land.
Bring Kids Home is creating a mailing list and is asking for people to donate on their website.

I wonder where Lee was. Has he disconnected himself even to his niece?
Also wonder if the lying slut even thought about her daughter today. I say NO, not really.

While at the memorial, George and Cindy spoke to the media. They spoke in favor of the memorial, even though the organizer had no idea that the Anthonys would show up.
When asked if they had seen Casey, George replied "no," while Cindy said they couldn't talk about that.

George And Cindy Anthony Visit Woods Where Granddaughter's Body Found
POSTED: Tuesday, August 9, 2011
ORLANDO, Fla. -- In their first public appearance since their daughter Casey was acquitted of murder last month, George and Cindy Anthony visited the woods where their late granddaughter's body was recovered
"We didn't know how we'd be perceived," George Anthony told Local 6. "It's just a great tribute to our Caylee. It's a great tribute to her. Other children have to come home, too. And that's what should be concentrated on now. We know where Caylee's at."
Dozens of onlookers joined the Anthonys as they released butterflies into the woods in memory of Caylee Anthony's 6th birthday. They later released lavender balloons.
On Tuesday, a non-profit organization released artwork of a permanent memorial they hope to build at the site. A realtor confirmed representatives from Bring Kids Home has signed a contract to purchase the property. The owner had originally listed the vacant land for $88,000.
Bring Kids Home is now trying to raise $200,000 to build the memorial, which will honor Caylee Anthony and other missing children, according to a spokesman. They are hoping to raise $25,000 from individual donations, with corporate donors covering the remaining cost.
The New Jersey-based non-profit registered as a corporation in 2008. However, a Local 6 investigation revealed that New Jersey officials revoked the group's corporation status in April because officers failed to submit annual reports for the past two years as required by law.
The founder of Bring Kids Home, Eric Segura, told Local 6 reporter Mike DeForest that he was unaware he was required to file those reports. He said he was not aware New Jersey officials had revoked the corporation status until Local 6 brought it to his attention.
Segura acknowledged his group has not done much fundraising prior to seeking $200,000 to build the Suburban Drive memorial. He insists the project is legitimate and will get built, as long as Orange County commissioners re-zone the land to allow the memorial. If the project does not proceed, donors who purchase bricks will be refunded a portion of their donation, and other donations may not be returned, according to the group's website.
"It is a new organization. I can't answer if the public can trust it," said Eddie DelValle, an Orlando-based volunteer for Bring Kids Home who is organizing the memorial project. "I'm putting my faith in it."

Re: A Birthday tribute for our Caylee. Gone, But NEVER Forgotten.
I find it bizarre that it SEEMS like the Ant's showed up to get the word out about the alleged memorial they want to build. Everything, even on what would have been Caylee's 6th birthday, seems to be about MONEY!
Shouldn't they just be there today w/no hidden agenda? Actually, they are not even Hiding their agenda. They are making it clear they need money for this memorial. I find it inappropriate personally. And, how could they even be down at the place where their lying slut of a daughter dumped Caylee "like she was trash"?
This day is about CAYLEE!! Did you all watch the video posted and see the booths? Really, how DARE they!!

scums. I thought the neighbors did not want a memorial there? This group sounds like they are just seeking publicity
and not legitimate. What surprised me most was the reaction to the Anthonys - they were met with clapping and cheers!

Caylee Anthony: Cindy says she hopes event brings closure
Caylee and Casey Anthony, George and Cindy Anthony, Uncategorized, WESH, WFTV — posted by halboedeker on August, 10 2011 6:01 AM
Why did George and Cindy Anthony make a surprise appearance at a tribute to their late granddaughter Tuesday night?
In footage shown by WESH-Channel 2, Cindy said she hoped the event would ”bring some closure, some peace to people” because “we need to move forward as a community and as a people.”
At the event, a nonprofit called Bring Kids Home shared its plans to build a $200,000 memorial on the land in the Anthonys’ neighborhood where Caylee’s remains were found in late 2008.
George Anthony said Caylee would be the focal point of the memorial, but added that it would bring attention to missing children. “There are other missing children out there that need to come home,” George said. “That’s what it’s all about.”
George Anthony said he had not had any contact with daughter Casey Anthony. She was acquitted July 5 of first-degree murder in Caylee’s death.
George and Cindy Anthony kissed and hugged as onlookers applauded at the tribute to Caylee. WFTV-Channel 9 showed George and Cindy releasing balloons in honor of Caylee.
WFTV talked to Karen Lim, a Caylee supporter, who said she wouldn’t contribute to the memorial unless she knew George and Cindy Anthony were not involved. “I don’t trust them, never have,” Lim said.
What do you think?
