A Marysville mother hopes her developmentally challenged daughter will return home soon.
Heather Lillard, 21, left her east Marysville home at 1 p.m. Saturday for a walk, "and we haven't heard from her since," her mother, Cheri Lillard, said Saturday night.
"Heather is the type of girl, she doesn't understand that not everybody is your friend," the mother said. "She'll talk to anybody."
Cheri Lillard said her daughter was injured in a car accident as a baby and has the mental age of a 13-year-old.
The mother said she reported her daughter missing to Marysville police at about 7 p.m. on Saturday.
"I went to all her friends' houses and nobody has heard from her or seen her," Cheri Lillard said.
She said her daughter was "upset to do some chores" before she left home.
Usually, the mother said, her daughter will be angry for about 10 minutes, "and then she's over it."
Heather Lillard has a noticeable scar on her throat from a tracheotomy, her mother said.
Police said volunteers are helping to search for Lillard, who's described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, 250 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who sees Heather should call Marysville police at 749-3900.
