Lexington police are searching for a seven-year-old girl who went missing Friday morning while walking her dog.

Police are searching in the area of Maple Leaf Drive near Man O' War Boulevard for Alicia "Elly" Russel. She went missing at about 10 a.m. while walking her dog, a chihuahua mix.

Police say the little girl was last seen wearing a light blue tank top, tattered jeans and black shoes.

Lexington police say a seven-year-old girl who went missing Friday morning while walking her dog has been found safe.

Police searched in the area of Maple Leaf Drive near Man O' War Boulevard for Alicia "Elly" Russel. She went missing at about 10 a.m. while walking her dog, a chihuahua mix.

Police say the girl was found at a nearby apartment of a friend.
