Our Dear Friend Zenga

Many of you knew our dear Zenga from CSO and knew that she had been battling breast cancer over the past several months.
With a heavy heart I have to tell you that she lost her fight with this terrible disease this morning.

Through it all she never lost her sense of humor and her spunk and she amazed us all with her never ending courage and hope. She was one of a kind and will be sadly missed by all of us.

Please keep Zenga and her family in your prayers.

She fought a terrible battle, as I am well aware of the horrors of breast cancer. My daughter was diagnosed when her twins were 20 months old and she died 4 days after their 5th birthday. She had the surgery, then chemo and radiation twice, but in the end, it returned in her spine.

Zenga was always on top of the latest news with the Caylee Anthony case, and the others that followed.

She was a fabulous poster on the CSO thread.

My heart is sad. We old timers all knew and loved our Zenga and now she is gone. She fought the good fight and she had her husband with her to the end.

I always looked forward to her posts, her insight and her wit. I will miss her!!!

I loved Zengas post and looked forward to reading what she had to say next in the CSO days! I was wondering where she has been :sorry:

CANCER SUX! Literally! I have lost to close people in my life this year alone, one to breast cancer who left behind a young daughter and son


Then a Best Friend to Pancreatic cancer! Both had long battles and fought SOOO hard!

Hearing this makes me think of them and how short our lives can be!

I am just heartsick about this. I have wondered where she was with her news update & quick wit.

I will keep her family in my prayers, lisette, you're right, she can give all the little angels that have lost their lives due to abuse/murder a big hug.

Poor Dear Sweet Zenga. She was always one of my favorite people at CSo from way back when. Loved to meet up with her in chat and always enjoyed her forum comments. Have been so worried about her. May she rest in peace and be pain free, have no fears now that she has left this life. I am so sad for Mr. Zenga and her family. It is so much worse for those left behind. My heart is sad and heavy tonight. I lost someone that I really cared about and admired, as we all did. Artnut said it all when she mentioned her wit! WE will miss you precious, Zenga. Rest in Peace. Keep a spot warm for those you have left here. You will be together again soon enough.

Could not really get back to sleep last night after the news of Zenga. It made me realize how important our Cyber Friends really are to us. They are as real to me as if they live next door. We do not have to see each others faces, or the expression of their eyes. We see into their souls from the compassion we read in their voices and hearts, here, at CSO and the other sites that have brought so many of us together. , Caylee Marie for introducing me to Zenga and my friends I cherish here. Without Caylee going missing, I would never have met Zenga or you folks here. I hope that Zenga had some animal friends waiting for her as she crossed the rainbow bridge, they will be as delighted to see her as all the people she loved that passed on before her . R.I.P. Zenga, our friend.

i really liked her, she was a jewel on the boards, and im going to miss her.

omg this is such sad sad news I will miss our sweet Zenga! She was a very special lady my thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Zenga's passing has really hit me hard. She was my friend, even though we never met.

Let us all please take a moment today and say a prayer for her or just remain silent for a minute to remember our friend.

Zenga and her husband used to post on the old, old Crime Searchers. They used to make us guess which one it was that evening and would give us an update on what the other one was doing. I thought it charming that they posted on the blog together. They were great buddies. I am sure Mr. Z is lost without his Mrs. Z. If you are reading this my condolences on your lovely lady.

A woman from our area Porter County on the Lake received from President Obama the Medal of Freedom. The nations highest honor. It was for her work on Cancer and chromosones. She was able to link cancer to genetics. So if there is cancer in your family please tell your doctor. Have the yearly tests done..every year. They are doing such great things. Don't wait a minute. If they can find it early..sometimes they can cure it. Sometimes...being the sad word. I don't want to lose any more friends to cancer.

I had posted on my wall that I had lost two friends in two days. Richard Grund is my "friend" on Facebook. This was his reply on my wall and IMO, it speaks VOLUMES!

I have lost more than I want to count, my husband being one of several in the past year. Sometimes I feel like I am on an out of control carousel and the riders are being flung off as I try to hold on and keep all in sight.

I am so moved at all the wonderful things said about ZENGA and shared.

ZENGA probably never realized how much she meant to all her friends. The images posted are so beautiful, so richly deserved, thanks to everyone, prayers to Zenga's family.

It amazes me too, critter, that we can feel a bond with people we have never met in person. This cyber-world stuff is just mind blowing... Caylee's story has brought many people together who share a common concern for the welfare of our children.
Mrs. Zenga had a wonderful spirit about her... my heart goes out to Mr. Zenga and his family.

This is the second time I have written this, it vanished when the thread was moved...It meant so much to me I am going to write it again.
This winter we had a really cold, terribly stormy day, with winds that could blow a wig off of someone. Early that am , mama kitty our latest rescue cat, somehow got outside. She had her claws removed and had not been out before...I was worried sick. Zenga was actually in the woods with me while I was calling Mama Kitty's name..she had pm'd me all day... "We here at home are hoping mama kitty will find her way home', "We here at home just know mama kitty will be safe". "We here at home are still praying that you get mama kitty back". That evening, late we finally found the drowned rat...I wrote Zenga, of course my response from her, "We here at home will sleep well tonight knowing mama kitty is back home safely". That is our Zenga......she cared about every animal and person in need. She was a real , genuine, loving and sincere soul.
Well, Zenga "We here at home miss you with all of our hearts", "We here at home know that you are pain free", "WE here at home know that you will be keeping an eye on Caylee and the other little angels'. "We here at home know that you will be keeping a warm spot for Mr. Zenga". Zenga, "We here at home want to for enriching our lives".

Critter that is beautiful. I have been thinking a lot about Zenga these past few days. I even went over to CSO to find her old post. The memories there at CSO humble me so. She was one of the few of us that actually went out searching for Caylee. Her post are all still there.

Oh bless her.I just now saw this news.Jackie had mentioned something was going on but I had no idea it was this..I'm so very sorry to hear this.She will be missed dearly.May the good lord comfort her family and watch over her.

I am sorry for our loss of Zenga. Further, I am sorry that I, as a latecomer to CSO before making the switch here, never got to know the person that all are mourning here in this thread. She must have been quite a wonderful person to know---I missed out on that privilege. May she rest in peace in the joyful presence and glory of God.

Hi Marica. A gal I swim with told me that in one year she lost her husband and three best friends. She is now fighting breast cancer herself.

I can't imagine all that. I think of her often.

So very sorry about the loss of your hubby. I am sure that is very hard.

I have been thinking quite a bit about Mr. Zenga, they were a real team. You know, when she would say "We here at home"...it was Mrs. Zenga and her partner for Life, Mr. Zenga, she was including in the "WE". Mr. Zenga, your wife's beautiful heart and soul touched the lives of all that 'met' her. I hope to meet her someday, it will give me another special friend in heaven to look up when I arrive. You have such wonderful memories of such a special woman I am sure...she will always be alive in your memories and your soul...until you meet again. All of my love, Mr. Zenga.

BJ, that was my favorite thing she said. It was so touching the way she included her husband in the "we here at home".

I just realized, our friend Zenga will be gone a year next week on the 18th. A whole yr without Zenga. I know all of her family, her husband, everyone that knew her will be so sad. I am sending happy thoughts and white energy her way on Aug 18th. Loved you sweet zenga, we all did.
