Bomb, I would think that River Cruz would have to verify the authenticity of them before they could be admitted into evidence...

Brandon claims that Kronk told him in Nov 2008 that he knew where the remains were. He asked Kronk why he waited so long to "find" the remains and Kronk didn't have an answer. Kronk made no other statements about the case. Brandon gives the court his cell # at that time.

Did your father ever mention that he had found the skull......was it prior to Nov. Brandon said yes he did.

Brandon doesn't hold any ill will against his father. No further questions.

LDB asks Brandon if he signed a statement about knowledge of this case. In statement LDB refers to the phone call he testified about today and LDB asks if the records she shows him reflects the phone calls between Brandon and Kronk. He agrees that he kept calls to Kronk from his mother for quite some time. LDB asks him to find the phone call on the record that IS the phone call in question and he said he can't do it. Brandon's mom and wife reminded him of when the phone call was.....he didn't remember exactly when it was. Brandon didn't prepare statement; just signed a prepared statement. He had help remembering that the conversation about the skull was in Nov. Brandon CAN NOT find the phone call on the record. This is SO confusing. OMG!!!


He's not coming across well at all.

Brandon says that LE has never contacted him.....doesn't know Det Melich. From June 2008 to Feb 2009 he talked to Kronk many times a week. On Dec 11 Brandon realized how significant the conversation in Nov about the skull was.

I think Kronk probably did tell him that he had found Caylee based on seeing the skull in Aug. He probably knew in his heart that it was her, and was trying to make himself sound important to his estranged son...

Missed part of Brandon Sparks testimony...How did that go? Prosecution or defense?

lisette I got the same impression about Kronk wanting to impress his estranged Son.

Baez asks Kronk about a second statement he made. He was asked by LE to wait in his truck after skull was found. Then he gave a recorded statement but doesn't remember it being recorded. Baez shows it to him. Now he remembers. Baez says that Kronk stated that he didn't touch anything. Kronk says touching with the meter stick isn't "physical" contact. Statement doesn't include the meter stick info. There was something about the skull falling out of the bag. When LE asked if there was anything else he wanted to say in the statement Kronk didn't tell them about the prior phone calls about seeing the bag in the woods.

Baez says that in another interview Kronk said that he included the info about the prior calls in the recorded statement on the day of finding the skull. Baez wants to impeach Kronk.

Defense is trying to make out that touching the skull moved the duct tape per Jean C on Insession. I hope I got that right.

Wonder if the jury wonders why they didn't go ahead and ask all their questions of the witnesses when they were there the first time...

Melich found out on Dec. 17 that Kronk had called 3 times in Aug. After hearing the tapes of the calls, he went to find out if the skull had dropped out of the bag or not...

Yes Kronk did say that the first responding officer said not to mention that.

There was something about the deputies on Dec 11 telling him not to mention the prior calls. I would have to review the testimony to remember exactly what Kronk said.
