Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: A Gruesome Anniversary Plays Out in Court
Posted by Blink Thursday 10 December 2009 2:16 pm

Orlando, FL– On the eve of the one year anniversary of the recovery of 34 month old Caylee Marie Anthonys remains; the defense team representing the woman charged with her murder is preparing for one of the most difficult court appearances to date.

Tomorrow, one year ago, Caylee was found while her grandparents and Team Casey dined on crab puffs and lounged pool side at the Ritz.

Ritzbaezcheck2-small4Among the Ritz Carlton guests, courtesy of ABC, was the Anthony Family Private Investigator, Dominic Casey.

Mr. Casey is attempting to don the “Privilege Parka” and avoid an upcoming deposition scheduled for December 16 and of course subsequent testimony at trial. The State has issued subpoenas to both George and Cindy Anthony for tomorrow’s hearing. They are looking to sit in front of the bar.

Might be advisable given the circumstances. I suggest a single malt of humility with a dignity chaser.

By his own account, George Anthony has not seen or spoken to Dominic Casey since February 10, 2009.

It is not known if perhaps Baez never took the time to explain to Mr. Casey the definition of “privilege”.

It is not thatAnthonysCourt51909 he would get the “privilege” of schtupping his Clients wife while their baby granddaughter was missing and later found murdered in the area his Client*slash*PillowPal sent him to search a month earlier.

O yeah, I went there.

If he is stupid enough through his attorney Diana Tennis to continue the privilege party line I predict Ms. Drane Burdick will be well prepared to demonstrate her skills in verbal guillotine simply by using Dom’s own words. I am not a huge Dr. Phil fan I admit, but there is a quote from him I feel resonates for Cindy Anthony specifically:

If he will do it with ya, he will do it to ya. 100%

Cindy, when you read this, you know I come from a place of knowledge and there are some doors even you do not want opened.

Mountainous Motionous Interruptus

To Deluge is to Delude? That is the Question.

Baez_casey_lyonIt is unclear if Ms. Lyon and the Baez jesters get paid by the word in their motions, or if they own stock in the local optometrist.

What is clear, is they have an endless supply of ink for the laser jet.

Could that be because they have not put out the benjamens for the bevy of experts we were expecting from the hearing about who is funding this shindig?

Even the dubious Dr. Lee is on record saying he does not get out of bed until the next check. *snark alert*

How do you ask for a year to prepare for a trial and not list a single expert as a witness, or lob a smidge of discovery back over the net?

Is February 1st the BIG BAEZ REVEAL? ( Insert laugh track)

Yesterday, Prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick returned fire, exposing what appears to be some seriously shoddy defense tactics to open up the files of the almost 4000 Texas Equusearch Volunteers in response to the mountains of motions filed by the defense the day before Thanksgiving.

..”Appreciate the Reciprocate not the Procrastinate or you Violate..”

Blink

Got it straight?

(editors note: see how easy that is, A to the L? One line and will free you up for those lovely, no advance blush necessary speaking engagements.)

“Dialing for Disgruntled”

It is not surprising or original to learn that Andrea Lyon and Jose Baez et al have spent weeks calling through TES search rosters to find anyone that would talk to them voluntarily. Many have. Baez and team apparently thought they hit pay-dirt with Joe Jordan and Laura Buchanan.

Joe Jordan was a volunteer on the first search in Orlando for Caylee Anthony. He also broke his agreement with TES by posting Youtube videos of the search and blogging about locations and findings. It was a serious no no and when he was outed, he began his campaign to speak negatively about Tim Miller and TES.

In the defense’s motion to modify access to TES records, Mr. Jordan claims to have kept very detailed records of his search efforts, when his team of 5–6 members were searching the alleged “exact area” where Caylee was ultimately found. For me, when someone uses the word detailed, I make the assumption that entails having more than one name of the other 5 people:

..”Among the five people with me were Danny Ibison and his dog, and a Panama City Deputy with one of his two dogs…”

Within the search form Jordan alleges he provided to TES, it would REQUIRE the names and ID’s of the individuals searching that area.

Could it be that Ibison and the others would not support Jordan’s statement because the area, exact area, where Caylee’s remains were found, was underwater on September 1st?

Speaking on the condition of anonymity exclusively to blinkoncrime.com, a source within OCSO confirms just that. Ibison maintains the site was underwater, the as- yet-unamed- publicly “deputy” will confirm there were meetings within TES to come up with a solution to use some sort of aquatic equipment to search the submerged area, but it was considered too dangerous and too small for a boat.

What motive would Mr. Jordan have to (un-surreptitiously to him) record his interview with Morty?

Joe JordanJJ records the audio for a spell and then gets around to calling Det. Edwards at OCSO to ostensibly get a high five.

That high five was nearly a low five behind his back from the state for a 3rd degree wiretapping felony.

Wait for it….. AND he is “materially” changing his story after apparently being schooled about what happens when you are prepared to lie in court, regardless of your agenda.

There is no “I” in perjury. Look out Baez, someone is out of there FUGUE state in time for tomorrow.

If I were a betting gal, I would say that Lyon will not lead with asking Ms. Drane Burdick where she picked out her suit or what she has in her nightstand drawer.

However, I do believe that an excerpt or 3 from Andea Lyon’s stand up impersonation of Lisa Lampanelli may end up on the record.

All that aside, I am humbled by tomorrow’s anniversary I thought I would never see. I will never forget the call in which both joy and anguish filled my throat. “We got her, it’s her.”

To the FBI, FDLE, FBI CSI, OCSO CSI, SS and OCSO, 9th Circuit Medical Examiners Office, Dr. G and SH– You know who you are– From the bottom of my heart I thank you for the commitment you showed this child.

You are her sweet voice now, backed by your collective baritone.

I am hopeful for an anti-crescendo or dimiuendo, directed to the finale.

If that does not work, then we scrap. End is the Same. Justifies the Means.

Caylee Anthony - Butterflies In Heaven - Richard Grund Reflects

I received this very touching letter from Richard Grund reflecting back on the events of one year ago. With his permission I reprint it in its entirety. Richard please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you on this sad day – Simon and Jan Barrett

Butterflies in Heaven

A Year Ago Today

December 11, 2009
By Richard J Grund

When President Roosevelt called December 7, 1941 a “date which will live in infamy” I had little personal experience with the reality of that statement. He meant that the day would always have a bad name and be notorious in history. And, he was correct. It was and is.

December 11, 2008 (a Thursday) will hold that status in our lives. It’s the day our worst fears were confirmed and the nightmare was no longer just a dream. It was the day Caylee Marie Anthony was found. Well, that’s actually not true. Caylee was in Heaven. It was the day the remains of her mortal body were found. It was the day we knew that we would have to wait until Heaven to see her again. Without the assurance of Heaven and her being there it would have been the day that all hope was lost.

Don’t get me wrong, we wanted it to be different. There was hope the facts were wrong. There was faith and love to help block out the reality being presented to us. The hope of her being somewhere safe and hidden was lost that day. The hope of seeing her in this earthly realm was lost that day. And, the hope of a future for this bright shining star was lost that day. The truth is, no one who has been to Heaven ever wanted to come back and I do not believe she would have been any different. The ever present music for her to bop and dance to would have held her there. The bright green fields, flowers, perfect butterflies and the ever present feeling of safety and love would make her forget all about here. I cannot blame her. Psalm 16:11 tell us, In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Once she grabbed His nail pierced hand when He greeted her we were a distant memory. Would you want to leave that? I wouldn’t.

Over this past year I’ve had past dreams, words and experiences brought to my remembrance. I will not list or detail them except to say that God was not caught off guard by this. He knew what would happen before she was born. He knew THIS would happen. And, in His infinite love and mercy for us, He gave her to us anyway. God is never surprised by what happens. He knows the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10). He knew who, what, when and where. He taught us that for everything there is a season (Ecclesiastes 3) and her season was a short one. She was meant to teach us many lessons and, for whatever reason, her time here was short.

In many ways, she was too good for this world. Most innocents like her are. Before this world could taint her, ruin her and mold her into its image she was sent home. Selfishly, I wish it were not so. I wish we could all have her for a little while longer but He knows better than I what is right and to Him, this was allowed. I know there are many people that will not understand that or His ways. But, I can pray you come to that understanding.

Isaiah 55:8 (NKJV) 8 “ For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.

Does that mean we don’t wail and plead with Him to change the way things are? No, our frail humanity does that. Yet, in all things we have to trust that this Father does know best.

Although it may have actually happened 6-months earlier, on December 11, 2008 it was confirmed to us that we ran out of time with one of His butterflies. Her wings would flutter to the breeze of this world no longer. Her time was short but it was ever so colorful and memorable.

With all due respect to Eric Clapton, I know that there are no tears in Heaven. There is only love, peace, joy and Caylee’s laughter.

And, I know there are butterflies in Heaven that live forever!

We will always love you Caylee.

We will always miss you.

We will see you again.

December 11th - One Year Anniversary of the Discovery of Caylee Anthony's Remains Empty Re: December 11th - One Year Anniversary of the Discovery of Caylee Anthony's Remains

Post by frogs Sun Dec 13, 2009 1:46 pm

I had gone to my sister's house after running some errands and she was the one who told me they had found something in the woods. I didn't stay at her house long, I needed to get home to watch the TV to see if indeed it was Caylee. I watched the news for hours, then called in a question to Mike Gallanos. Yes, my voice was heard on his show that day. Mark Iglarsh actually answered my question. Although I have tried to get through to Mike, Nancy, and Jane since then, I have never been able to. Yes, I will long remember that day.

December 11th - One Year Anniversary of the Discovery of Caylee Anthony's Remains Empty Re: December 11th - One Year Anniversary of the Discovery of Caylee Anthony's Remains

Post by cherylz Sun Dec 13, 2009 2:26 pm

I was at my five year old daughter's first dance recital yesterday with my family. It was a happy, festive day. The recital lasted 1 1/2 hours...children ages 3-18 dancing on stage to the merriment of their loved ones. Half way through the recital I turned to my husband and started crying silently. He knew best not to ask me what was wrong. I was thinking of Caylee and the other little Angels that went before and after her. I am consumed with a feeling of sadness and lost when I think of these children...innocent victims whose lives were ended by either a stranger or someone they loved. I will never for the life of me understand or accept this. My heart breaks.

She had another good one, the bubble gum blowing icon would pop up if you typed in Cindy Anthony's name.

I heard the news about Caylee being found on HLN. I probably heard you Frogs on Mile Gallanos!!! I knew it was her the minute the body was found. We all did.It was sad but also bittersweet, it did stop the ANTS from their "Caylee is Alive media tour". Also, thankfully there was incriminating evidence with her remains! angel

FYI...there is talk on other blog sites about the 4th piece of duct tape found at the crime scene. So far, we have only talked about the 3 layers on her nose and mouth. What was this 4th piece used for? Was this used to "physically" restrain Caylee? Some think so.

Yes there seems to have been four pieces of duct
tape - this is unconfirmed, however, I think after listening to Ashtons scenario of the crime, there is a lot that the State has pieced together we are not aware of. Strickland should rule today on most of those motions, which I believe will all be denied.
If that is the case and DP stays, I as well as others believe that Andrea "the genius" Lyons will find a way off the case. I never believed she cared about helping Casey as much as she wanted a stage for her opinions
to be heard. She has been involved of other cases,
but nothing high profile. I think she got a taste
(especially from Kathy Belich) of just how much scrutiny will be placed upon her and I dont think she liked it one bit. I dont see her staying the course here.
