ACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Brailynne Corr graduated from Ridgeview High in 2008, recently graduated from UCF and is now missing from Mississippi.

She went to live with her parents in Mississippi and started a job a month ago at a hospital in Jackson. She's been missing now for 10 days.

One Jacksonville family who has known her since childhood is trying to help find her from their home here on the First Coast.

Lou Anne McCormick has spent hours on Facebook of late, trying to spread the word about Corr.

Brailynne and her daughter Mallory were friends throughout elementary and junior high in Orange Park. They continued to keep in touch.

"I can't imagine what she is going through right now, my daughter's friend, I just want to help the family," said McCormick.

McCormick has been in touch with Corr's father in Mississippi, Dave Corr.

"He is just distraught, driving on the roads of Mississippi looking for her."

Corr told First Coast news that he has gone to several places in Mississippi where his daughter was known to be, but he has had no luck finding her.

McCormick convinced him to open an account at Regions Bank in Brandon, Mississippi. She wants to raise money through Facebook to help the family hire a private investigator.

"I thought what would I do, I would hire someone besides local police to help me find my daughter, that's how I'd go about it."

Corr told her parents she was going to Hattiesburg, Mississippi on September 15th to visit friends. While she did go to Hattiesburg, she did not visit anyone.

She was last seen two days later on the 17th at a Walmart in Picuayne, Miss., 3 hours away.

"She'd gone to Walmart, gone in bought , then bought gas and went inside again to get bottled water," said McCormick.
That was 10 days ago.

No signs of her since, no evidence of using her credit card.

"A really good girl about checking in with Mom and Dad constantly, totally out of character for her," McCormick remarked.

She and her daughter, Mallory Williams, plan to pass out posters in the Orange Park area in hopes of getting some clues to Corr's whereabouts.

"If we put out the posters and she did communicate with someone in the Orange Park area, anyone prior to going missing, they may have some idea where she might be."

Her father asks that if anyone happens to see her in the area, to stop her and call authorities, likewise if they happen to hear from Corr.

Brandon Rogers is a UNF student who dated Corr for several years. He has started the Facebook page "Find Brailynne."

He's concerned also, saying this is not like her, describing her as a very smart girl, graduating with a degree in molecular science and microbiology.

Detective Chris Ainsworth in Mississippi said she is on the National Missing Persons List, but at this point he has no solid reason to suspect foul play.

What Happened to Brailynne Corr?

Brailynne Corr hasn't been seen since September 15th, and it is out of her character to go without checking in on family or friends. Could this disappearance be a sign of something negative to come, or is she safe somewhere missing voluntarily?

The missing woman is in her early 20s, and is described as being smart and responsible. The Florida woman had been living in Mississippi with parents for a short period of time before telling them that she was going to visit friends on the 15th of September. That's the last time anyone has seen or heard from her.

That was until surveillance footage showed her in a town three hours away three days later. That indicates that she was missing on her own, doesn't it? So is this a voluntary disappearance?

Hopefully Brailynne Corr does the right thing and gets into contact with her family and loved ones. If not, nobody has the choice but to consider that she ran into something foul and needs help.

Relatives of a missing UCF graduate are hoping that someone at the university might have some information about what has happened to her.

Brailynne Corr, who recently moved to live with her parents in Brandon, Miss., has been missing since Sept. 17, according to her uncle, Michael Corr of Melbourne. He was at the University of Central Florida last week, distributing posters that he hopes might yield information about her whereabouts.

Brailynne Corr, 22, graduated in the spring with degrees in molecular biology and microbiology, according to the UCF news website. She told her parents on Sept. 16 that she was going to visit friends in Hattiesburg, Miss., but checked out of a hotel there after only one day. Her debit card was used twice on Sept. 17 at a Walmart in Picayune, Miss., about 60 miles away.

She had been driving a silver 1999 GMC Jimmy with Mississippi license plate RGM 837.

"We've been doing everything we possibly can," Michael Corr said Sunday. "It's really strange."

I just talked to Dave and said Brailynne HAS BEEN FOUND. She was found in the Houston area and is with her parents currently. Dave has asked for some privacy so they all can sort things out and would like to thank everyone for their help and support during these last couple of weeks.

A 22-year-old Orange Park native missing for two weeks was found safe in Texas.

Family and friends have searched for Brailynne Corr, 22, after she went to visit a friend in Hattiesburg, Miss. -- not far where she moved to be with family after graduating from college in the spring.

Corr, who graduated from Ridgeview High School and UFC, was spotted in Texas and Channel 4 was told she has been reunited with family.

She was last seen Sept. 17 at a Walmart in nearby Picayune, Miss.

For days, her family has combed through the woods, posted flyers of Corr's picture and talked to anyone who might know something about her disappearance.

Flyers were also posted around Orlando and Orange Park, where she used to live.

Not much more is know about the circumstances that led to her be reunited with family. This story will be updated when information becomes available.

Missing Rankin County woman found safe in Texas

The search for a missing 22-year-old Rankin County woman ended earlier today when authorities located her unharmed in Conroe, Texas.

Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey said Brailynne Corr was located by Texas officials three weeks after last being seen by her family. Corr was reported missing on Sept. 22.

Brailynne was identified after Texas officials performed a traffic stop and alerted Rankin County, Bailey said. The missing woman told officers she was not under duress and was fine. She was in the stopped vehicle with two male occupants, one of whom she said she met while working in the metro Jackson area, said Bailey.

During her absence, investigators had traced Brailynne’s whereabouts from Hattiesburg to Picayune, the sheriff said.

Bailey said his office contacted Brailynne’s family and has since been advised she is with her family now.

The news comes at the end of a multiple-agency search for Brailynne.

Brailynne left town the morning of Sept. 16, telling her parents she was spending the next five days with friends who live in Hattiesburg. Brandon residents Dave and Debbie Corr became concerned when they were unable to get in touch with their daughter during the week, despite calling multiple times.

"She was in college for four years by herself," Dave Corr said in September. "I totally trusted her to do anything. She always called me."

When a week had passed with no word from Brailynne, they reported it to the Rankin County Sheriff's Department and started searching for any clue that could be linked to her whereabouts.

Rankin County detective Chris Ainsworth said a courtesy email sent to Brailynne's account revealed she checked out of a Super 8 hotel in Hattiesburg Sept. 17 after only a one-night stay, despite telling her parents she would be in town for most of the week. She did not see or contact the friends she told her parents she was visiting, Dave Corr said.

Ainsworth said Brailynne's debit card was used later that day at Walmart in Picayune, about 60 miles away. Security video footage taken that day shows her leaving the store at 10:40 a.m. and again at 12:07 p.m.,where she spent about $21, he said.

The two Walmart visits and a trip to the gas pump were the last recorded transactions in her bank account, Ainsworth said. At the time bank records showed her account was overdrawn by more than $400, he had said.

Capt. Chad Dorn with the Picayune Police Department had said his officers searched the area and were told to be on the lookout for Brailynne and her vehicle, a silver 1999 GMC Jimmy with Rankin County tags.

Brailynne recently moved to Mississippi to live with her parents after graduating with honors in 2012 from the University of Central Florida. Her father said she had applied to go into the Peace Corps, but needed more volunteer work under her belt. She began volunteering at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson before they hired her as a patient transporter.

Brailynne's parents went to the hospital looking for answers, knowing she was expected to return to work.

Dave Corr said hospital employees told them they hadn't seen Brailynne in days. However, there is doubt surrounding whether she was supposed to come into work at all. Ainsworth said Brailynne had actually been terminated for undisclosed reasons.

Corr had said nothing about Brailynne's disappearance makes sense. She left town with nothing more than a bag of clothes, leaving behind her computer, a lockbox and a few forms of identification.

"Why would somebody do that if they weren't coming back?" he said.
