Word on the street is that they will open up a pay pal account very soon. They have been getting donations from the neighboring towns..but everyone is getting tapped out.

They will also list a PO Box and a BOD w/in the next few weeks.

LUBBOCK, Texas — John Alan Conroy, 37, of Big Spring, Texas, who pleaded guilty in Dec. 2010 to one count of producing child pornography and one count of receiving a visual depiction of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct, was sentenced this morning by U.S. District Judge Sam R. Cummings to 405 months in federal prison, announced U.S. Attorney James T. Jacks of the Northern District of Texas. In addition, Judge Cummings ordered that Conroy, who has been in custody since his arrest in July 2010 on a related charge, serve a lifetime of supervised release following his imprisonment.

According to documents filed in the case, in 2009, Conroy lived with a woman and her two young children, Jane and John Doe, in Big Spring. Jane Doe turned eight years old during that year, and John Doe turned 10 years old that year. During part of the year, Conroy was unemployed. The mother of the children worked during the day, and Conroy often was left in charge of Jane Doe.

Conroy had purchased a laptop computer in approximately 2007, and beginning some time in 2007 or 2008, started using it to search the Internet for sexually explicit images and videos of children. He downloaded and collected numerous images and videos depicting minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct, and stored the images on his computer and on various forms of storage media.

During 2009, when Jane Doe was seven years old, Conroy began showing her various images and videos depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Beginning in October 2009, Conroy began engaging in sexual contact with Jane Doe. Then, on December 27, 2009, Conroy used his Canon digital camera to produce sexually explicit videos of Jane Doe. The videos were produced in a residence in Big Spring.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice, to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Led by United States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division's Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims. Shawn needs to do the right thing and turn himself in. He cannot hide from this..nor can Billie.

I dont understand why Shawn and or Billie arent in jail for the CP. I see no reason why they couldnt be charged on this and then be charged in Haileys case at a later date. I understand if Hailey is in the pictures how it all ties in but wouldnt it still be 2 different cases?

It is very frustrating, I agree. On Peter Hyatt's blog radio show last night, he had on a defense attorney who is a regular on the Nancy Grace show and actually asked the same question as you. The attorney said it is difficult to know why it is taking so long since none of the information is being shared openly with the public. So although we may hear that they have 108,000 CP/Beastiality/Deviant images found on all the devices, tying it the right person takes time.

He added that these are professionals handling the case and they have done this before and will be methodically building their case against Shawn and Billie Jean. He stated that the CP could be prosecuted by the feds and the kidnap/murder charges by LE or LE could handle it all.

I think if they have even 1 CP photo which is tied to Billie Jean and Shawn, they should arrest them and leave them to rot in jail while they work out the rest of the charges.

Where is Hailey?? Billie Jean how can you sit there day after day and live with your guilt? YOu have to be a cold iceberg to have chosen the pervert Shawn Adkins over your beautiful daughter. There is a special place for you upon your death.

Another thing I dont understand is why are these parents not working and expecting Joe Public to support them. I see no reason why either of them arent working or atleast looking for work. I understand the whole community know of thier drug use but they could atleast flip burgers. How long do they think they should be able to live off of contributions?

well, now that we know BD is most likely receiving money from people who thought it was going to help hailey...I would like to know...how could someone set up a fund that is 100% safe and is only going to the reward? Would law enforcement have to set it up. I would of donated if I thought the fund was legit and now that we know its not I am glad I DID NOT!

It allows employees 12 weeks of unpaid leave due to several family and health issues. I would guess that with sick days, vacation weeks and the 12 weeks leave that is what Billie is taking. Since it has been three months that would use up the family leave time. Next would be sick days and vacation days..perhaps another month or more.

In the beginning the hospital employees set up an account at the bank for employees wishing to donate to Billie as a fellow employee. They also gave her some of their days off.

So I would think she is off due to the above but is not receiving wages. Not sure on the wages. Probably being paid for the sick days and vacation days.

I highly doubt Billie has her job after she admitted to printing page after page after page of less than proper (for lack of better words) information - which had zipolla to do with her job or the hospital. I think I've mentioned this before, but I think she most likely had a 401K that she cashed in, along with her sick leave as Jeanne stated.

Despite the announcement, Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs stressed to the Abilene Reporter-News that the change in the reward does not reflect a shift in the focus of the investigation. He said authorities are still looking at Hailey’s disappearance as both a possible missing person case and as a criminal case.

Toombs also told the paper that investigators are waiting to receive evidence from crime labs before presenting a case to a grand jury with regard to child pornography allegedly found on computers and digital storage devices used by Shawn Adkins, the boyfriend of Hailey’s mother and the only person of interest named in her disappearance.

So far, the evidence from the most recent electronic seizures has not been received by investigators.

"We are still waiting on the evidence before presenting the case to a grand jury," Toombs said.

All of the evidence gathered is sent either to the Department of Public Safety Crime Lab or the FBI crime lab, Toombs said.

This is soooo frustrating. Why won't any of the media name Billie Jean Dunn as a POI ? On the BTHN radio show, the woman who is ex LE - Rachel - read verbatim what the police asked her to read and that was that Billie Jean Dunn and Shawn Adkins were the only 2 POI's from the beginning and remain the only 2 POI's.

I don't know why Peter Kampfer can't state it either. He states that Shawn is the only suspect and there are multiple POI's.

Is this a strategy? And if so, what are they trying to do?

Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs told KBST today that, although volunteers are appreciated, the law still has to be followed throughout the investigation.

Rumors of non-authorized searches on private property, damage to private property, and personal friendships with any suspect or person of interest will be taken seriously.

Anyone who breaks the law during a volunteer search for Hailey Dunn can and will face criminal charges.

As of this broadcast, law enforcement officials are urging all volunteers to know with whom they are searching.

It is a good idea to carry maps of your search locations to keep track of areas that have been eliminated by local residents and search groups.

Also, it is a good idea for all volunteer search captains or coordinators to keep a valid drivers license or state I.D. of any people that search with their group.

With nice weather conditions expected this weekend, search teams are expected to be out in droves, looking for the missing cheerleader, who has captured national attention since her December 28th disappearance.

Law enforcement officials remind search teams to follow the letter of the law.

Also important to note, that if any questionable evidence is found, authorities must be your first call.

Calls placed to the media by any search team who finds evidence will come under strict scrutiny.

Thanks Jeanne! For 2 months we've been hearing that there is a legitimate account set up; legitimate because it is overseen by "3 people that were never known to Billie, Shawn or their families". I'm not accusing any of these 3 folks of wrong-doing and I hope they are above board. But, I wondered why the names weren't given before and I wonder if all 3 were indeed unknown to the Dunn/Ostrander/Adkins/Trischell clans... I am sure someone on Facebook will reveal if there are connections (if our own ms. charminglane doesn't beat them to it!)...

Interesting read Jeanne - thanks for the link. I was surprised that I was able to view it. The few times I've tried to view the Facebook links, they have gone private before I get there!

If the 3 board of directors from HopeforHailey.org had just been revealed from the start and there are no ulterior motives, this could have been avoided. I think there's a lot of suspicion surrounding anyone involved with Hailey's plight at this time. In some ways it's sad, but it has been brought on by the deception of Hailey's mom and some of the inaccurate information passed on by her mom's friends, imo. It's prudent for those who care utmost about Hailey to ask questions at this point. No one wants to contribute to the exploitation of Hailey by funding anyone who might have hurt her or who is withholding knowledge. JMO...

Search Group Explains Hailey Dunn Merchandise Sales

The group behind t-shirts being sold to raise awareness about missing 13-year-old Hailey Dunn sent out a statement detailing where proceeds for shirt sales are being spent.
Kristy Lloyd says money made from merchandise sales goes directly into the Hailey's Search fund set up at the City National Bank in Colorado City.

In a statement, Lloyd says the fund is used to keep Hailey's face out in the public and keep search efforts active.

Lloyd says time and labor is voluntary. She notes no searches are compensated with money.

Lloyd issued the statement amid rumors money from merchandise sales were going to family members that were spending the money at their leisure.

On the board of directors with three members are a mother and daughter.

Glenda Turner, mother and Kristy Lloyd, daughter.

Unusual because a board of three is used so there would be no tie if a board of say two or four vote.

With two of the three mother and daughter...unusual.

One other thing about the money and going to family. Clint Dunn stated on the car wash video that the money made there would go to flyers/fliers (I wish I knew the correct spelling lol) AND he said "Gas money for him" to get to the booths.

Interesting that the volunteers do not receive any gas money to search.... Jusy Sayin !

It is soooo much easier to remember people when I have a face.

I dislike it so much the way PT calls herself Haileys grandma. I know..maybe she was good to Hailey I don't know.

But the times I have seen it it seems like she is "sticking it to them". Just doesn't seem sincere.

Hailey is the victim. Anyone who has lied in the course of the investigation into her disappearance should be subject to scrutiny and suspicion, imo. The truth will bring about justice for Haley. Since Billie and Shawn failed polys regarding knowing Hailey's whereabouts and refused to take new polys with different polygraphers (and have continued to lie after failing their polys), it's not mean to question them nor their associates imo. Whoever hurt Hailey should not be allowed to get away with it. Hailey is the victim and it's anything but mean to question and pressure those who are hindering justice for Hailey by lying or withholding information. Hailey is the victim.

If Clint or his girlfriend had not been cleared through interrogation, you bet they would have given polys. LE has no love for Clint Dunn, imo. He's never been a model citizen, nor was he a candidate for father of the year. In this case, however, it's simply clear that LE has no reason to be believe that Clint was involved in his daughter's disappearance, nor was his girlfriend. No matter how hard Billie tried to point the finger at these two easy and geographically convenient targets, LE saw no need to poly Clint (who volunteered many times). In truth, I wish LE would poly Clint and Naomi, just as a matter of record. But, the poly is a tool to eliminate or include people as suspects; people whose claims of innocence are questionable. LE doesn't answer to us and apparently Clint and Naomi weren't questionable when it comes to Hailey's disappearance. That honor belongs to Hailey's mother and her mother's boyfriend. Billie hasn't tried to incriminate Clint since her initial thinly veiled attempts were unsuccessful. If she had any reason to truly question Clint's and Naomi's involvement, she would have said it directly in the first place and she would still be saying it. Instead, she moved on to the next targets: it was Clint's brother, it was a random abductor who snatched Hailey when she should have stayed home, it was sex traffickers who abducted Hailey... All the while, still refusing to take another poly to help prove she's telling the truth and forward the investigation. Instead, Billie was arrested for (and admitted to) lying to the investigators who are looking for her daughter. I consider that mean to Hailey; her mother isn't willing to take a simple test or tell the truth to the investigators who are trying to find Hailey. That's mean, imo. Hailey is the victim.

Truthbtold it is "mean to the victim". I think sometimes with all the drama in CC we forget about "Hailey the victim". That little girl is lost. We need to find her then I am sure all the pieces will come together.

If we don't find her I have every confidence that CP will be filed against the main suspect and drug charges will be filed against the mother that has been arrested for aiding and abetting the POI, Main Suspect.

I have every confidence in the FBI and Texas Rangers.

I have very little confidence in peoples patience. It is wearing very thin.

But history, Casey Anthony and Misty Cummings, has showed us that LE always gets their man or woman.

One way or another. Justice is slow but it is swift.

The father of missing 13-year-old Hailey Dunn was arrested this morning after showing up late to a scheduled court appearance.

Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs said by the time Clint Dunn had arrived, the judge had already issued a warrant for his arrest.

Dunn had turned himself in in February on a warrant for violating his probation with the original charge of marijuana possession, driving with an expired license, and a unsafe backing. The marijuana arrest happened in January 2010 and Dunn was sentenced to six months probation.

Today's 9 a.m. court appointment was related to the marijuana and expired license charges. Toombs said he did not know how late Dunn arrived.

Dunn is being held in the Mitchell County jail. A bond has not yet been set. Toombs estimated it would be set at $2,500 for each of the two counts.

In addition to a handful of marijuana convictions in the past, Dunn was sentenced in 1994 to two years in prison and five years probation for burglary of a building. He was 17 years old at the time.

Mitchell County Sheriff's officers took Dunn into custody Wednesday morning. He's being held in the Mitchell County Jail on bonds totaling $5,000.
