It's heartbreaking Charm and jeanne. I watched some of the Casey Anthony jury selection today and I just kept imagining what Caylee's days with her mom must have been like.

Haieigh, Caylee, Trenton, Kyron, Shaniya, Hailey, the Skelton brothers and so many more. Used to be that we'd have a Dianne Downs or Susan Smith every now and again and it would be incomprehensible. A parent getting rid of a child for selfish reasons. Maybe it's me, but seems like it's happening more often. Maybe, in part, because of the accessibility of drugs everywhere? Maybe we just hear about it more often because we have so much more access to information these days? IDK, but it really seems like it's happening more frequently and the guilty seem so remorseless. How can it be? I will never understand...

How old was Billie when she had David? How old was Billie's mom when she had her? Kids having kids.

I think BJD was 14. Her mother was around the same.

Does the dog ever get to be off tether that you have seen? In the house, out of the sun? Food and water while she is away at her mother's or at various no tell motels??
It would be great to call animal control so BJD is feeling the noose tightening.

I know the dog is chained to a tree which does not provide much shade. I am hoping the locals are paying attention to this as well. I know someone mentioned it on Facebook awhile back.
The drug dealer's red car was at the residence on Sunday so I am hoping the dog was checked on that time.

Animal control will check on the dog. Someone needs to call them for the dog's sake. It has to be hot there and I am worried about the dog being left alone tied to a darn tree.

I don't post on the Facebook pages but it seems to me somebody said they did.

Since a lot of them on that Facebook page we read about all the time are locals perhaps there is an animal lover or two.

I am at work tonight.

I just called the animal control in BJD's town from the above phone number. Talked to a police officer since it is off hours. The officer assured me that the dog is fine.
Whether anyone pays any attention to it is another matter.
Maybe if we had people call from different states it would make something happen.

Charm, I spoke with a friend of mine in CC who has checked and the dog is fine. I believe it is still cruel to have a dog chained 24 hours a day. If only BD was the one chained to the tree and the dog was free.

How in the hay can these idiot's say the "dog is fine"??? How would they liked to be chained to a tree on a short tether in this horrific Texas heat and humidity all day long, everyday? So, the dog has water and food? And that makes it okay to just leave it there with no attention paid to it or no shade?

I am sorry, Gnreed, but I am NOT impressed with Texas or their "Bubba" mindset one iota!!

Must I literally drive the 5 hours and go get this poor pooch? Rest assured, I would probably end up being put in the clink for going on BD's property.

CBS7 News / KOSA-TV A viewer sent us a picture of what is believed to be a human bone found over the weekend on East FM 700 in Big Spring.

The view tells CBS 7 that the crime scene unit was called out to investigate. That is what we know at this time. We are following this story very closely..........

Nikki Skouby-Bigby it says that a viewer sent in a picture. Maybe it was a searcher and wants to get the word out. We all know LE is keeping very very quiet.....AND when was it that the rangers were there, alot of them??

I wonder if BD and SA are aware of this. I would bet they are. I would love to be a fly on the wall just to see their reactions.

Somehow, I don't think this is her. I don't get that gut feeling at all. And, I hate saying this, but I hope I am wrong. She is either dead and has been for some time or (as I stated from the get go) was either sold or traded to human traffickers. Either way, it's not good.

Gnreed, have you heard anything about this and if so, what? And, how far is Big Spring from CC or Snyder? Not too far, is it?

The bone picture is on CBS news site. Made my stomach turn but looks too big to be from Hailey. A professor of yada yada stated on that news site that it does not look like a human bone. Could be a hog bone. GAGGGG.

Another sad item. Clint Dunn's dad passed away today. I can't imagine losing my daughter and then my dad in a matter of months.

I am sorry to hear of the dads passing but the first thing I thought was that I am sure Clint will use this like he did Haileys missing to hold out his hat and try to collect money for his pain relief..dope. He is a dope. Sorry but he grinds on me.

Investigators: Adkins Remains Lone Suspect in Dunn Disappearance

Authorities in Colorado City say Shawn Adkins remains the lone suspect in the disappearance of 13-year-old Hailey Dunn.

Even though there's no too much information to release about the case, law enforcement says the investigation remains very active.

Colorado City's City Manager Pete Kampfer adds officers are still working the case.

"Sometimes these cases will go on for months and all of a sudden everything will hit," Kampfer told CBS 7.

Kampfer says despite the hard work of investigators, there remains one missing link.

"You have to have a person or body, physical evidence that something occurred, so we need Hailey and that's a big part of the case right now," said Kampfer.

Kampfer reiterated what he's been saying all along: prosecutors need more evidence before police can make an arrest.

. "We're waiting for more information related to Mr. Adkins and finding Hailey. They want to build a better case to really make sure it's a slam dunk for prosecution," said Kampfer.

Dunn is believed to have vanished from her Colorado City home on December 27.

They better give up on finding Hailey. IMO, she w/never be found. So, are they saying that without a body, SA w/walk free for the rest of his life?

And, PK's office is NOT heading up this investigation. The Sheriff's Office is. So, why does he keep talking??

Bottom line is this. They need a body to prove Hailey is dead and Adkins did it.

Not to beat a dead horse but in Texas..no body..no case.

I know, I know there might have been somebody to slip through but if you read a bit about the Vidocq Society they will tell you.

In Texas..no body no charge. It's kind of an unwritten law.

Any news on Clint's dad regarding services? Like if BJD showed up to pay respects? With SA?

I have held back on being critical on Law Enforcement but it has been too long. The last comments by Pete K. confirmed that LE is no closer to solving this crime since day one.
IMO SA disposed of the body and it will never be found. Therefore, no charges will be filed.
Also, LE needs to come forward and tell us they made a mistake in reference to the child porn. It does NOT take this long to charge someone with child porn if it was found on the computer and devices they claim.
There is a glitch somewhere and I believe they do not want to come forward and inform the public.
Once again, LE needs to come forward and let the public know. And maybe Pete Kampfer can get on with his life.

gnreed I can hear the frustration in your post. Believe me we all are like that from time to time. Wanting justice for these little ones and sometimes not so little ones.

You have always supported LE.

In my experience patience is the very best thing you can have while waiting.

Sometimes somebody thinks they have done the perfect crime and then a body is revealed and it is all over.

Yesterday I was reading some about Scott Peterson. Amazing how Laci and Connors bodies washed up on shore in the exact spot Scott has been fishing.

Am I correct in thinking that we will never get a statement from the FBI in regards to Hailey's disappearance? Just a press release or statement from the public information officer?

I also find it hard to believe that more locals don't log on here.

Gnreed, I agree with every word you said and it's beyond frustrating. I lost faith in LE quite a while ago but it's different for me, I'm used to Los Angeles and not at all familiar with small town LE. It must be quite a bit different for you and other locals for you're used to smaller town LE. Evidentially for some reason LE just doesn't have evidence enough to support an arrest for the disappearance of Hailey. Amazing that a small town guy like SA can fool LE.......
But the child porn or supposedly the child porn found on so many electronic devices that SA owned. How can LE screw that up? Flippin' amazing. Either there was or was not child porn and I didn't think that was a hard question to answer. I too think that surely there should have been an arrest way before now on that.
I wonder if LE thinks that if enough time goes by that we, the public will just forget? I also wonder if LE there aren't just "good ole' boys" therefore being part of the whole bunch in CC like Wrap suggested above.
I sure wish for Hailey's sake that the state and/or fed's would just go in and take this case over. Hailey's been gone for nearly 5 1/2 months and it sure appears that LE in CC doesn't give a damn and that is disgusting. JMOO.

So, where do we go from here?
Call the governor?
Barrage the sheriff's office with calls and letters?
Appeal to the public?
If BJD and SA are lawyered up, how long do we wait for them to slip?
Bottom line-a young woman is missing and presumed dead as per LE-now what?

Oh Wrap I too have thought that many times. Just who is involved with what and who is the 64,000 question.

Poor Pete. I think he has been the biggest stooge.

Being born and raised in this area and in a small town, it is very possible one or two of the officers are friends with BD or SA or both. Not saying they are, but certainly possible. I worked for a Sheriff's office in this area for several years and you would be surprised at some of the things that go on.

So what should we do?

It was evident when BD was arrested that she knew them by first name.
