Rhonda Baker leaves her four children home alone with no food

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A mother was arrested for leaving her four children alone without enough food, deputies said.
This story just gets me - the youngest of these children is 17 months old
and this woman I wont call her a mother left them alone and the poor 13 year old
in charge with no food and money so she could stay with her boyfriend.
WHY do they want children these monsters??

Deputies said 35-year-old Rhonda Baker faces charges of child neglect and failing to provide supervision to her children.

A woman, Helena Glasgow, told deputies she called 911 after visiting the home and finding Baker's children alone with very little to eat.

Deputies spoke with the children and a 13-year-old said she has been taking care of herself and young sisters.

The girl said her mother was staying the home of a man named Justin. Deputies said the girl told them that her mother had been at the man's house for days, only to return home a couple of times for just 20 minutes.

Deputies said the 13-year-old told them that she fed her sisters a grilled cheese sandwich for breakfast on Friday and a ham sandwich for lunch. She said there was no other food left after that, so they ate some cookies later that night.

Deputies said the children only had water and tea to drink, no milk for Baker's 17-month-old daughter. The 13-year-old said the youngest girl also had a rash on her legs and would not stop crying. Deputies said in an arrest report that the child was indeed crying "irately" and observed a rash on her legs.

According to the arrest report, the Department of Children and Families investigator Bruce Thompson told deputies it was a "clear cut" case of child neglect.

The children were removed from the home and are currently in the care of DCF.

Deputies said when they arrested Baker, she first denied that she was out and said she was home all night. She later retracted her statement, deputies said, and told them she was at her new boyfriend's house.

Deputies said they charged Barker with child neglect and took her to the Orange County Jail.

No money for food, but.......
Baker is charged with child neglect. She has since bonded out of jail.
She says there was no milk for the 17 month old baby and no diapers.

DCF (that's what they call it in Florida) took her kids - probably one of her "buddies" bailed her out. She is free as a bird. I bet she does a lot of drugs. Unreal!!

BITHLO, Fla. -- A Central Florida mother has been arrested and charged with child neglect after she left her 13-year-old daughter to care for her three young sisters for two days without enough food in the house, deputies say.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Rhonda Baker, 35, failed to provide food, supervision and medical treatment to her four children.

The woman who reported the conditions in the Bithlo home said she went to the house around 4:30 on Friday and saw that the house was a mess and had very little food. She told deputies there was no milk or diapers for the baby and that the 13-year-old told her they were drinking tea and water because their mother had not been home in two days.

The 13-year-old daughter told deputies she was left to care for her sisters, aged 5, 3 and 17 months. She said her mom left on Wednesday to stay with a man and had only returned a few times for around 20 minutes each time since. She also said her older sister, whose age was not indicated on the incident report, stayed at the home with a man for around 10 hours one night. OMG, what is this man harmed the children???

Deputies said the youngest girl had a rash on her legs and the 13-year-old was unsure of the last time it was treated.

A Department of Children and Families investigator called the situation a "clear-cut" case of child neglect and the children were placed in DCF custody.

Deputies said Baker originally denied not being home overnight, but then retracted her statement and tearfully told deputies that she stayed at her new boyfriend's house and assumed the children would be OK by themselves until her oldest daughter checked in on them.

So she's bonded out - the State has to take care of her children and she probably will get pregnant again eventually. MONEY - thats the cure - I just read it
takes about $475,000.00 to raise a child to maturity.
Take the kids and give these men and women who wont take care of their children and keep having more
the bill. This includes the fathers of these four children. All bills for food, clothing shelter, medicine
need to be billed to these so-call parents -if LE wont or cant keep them in jail then at least make the point
of billing them for their children. I feel so sorry for all these kids -they probably wont be able to stay together
and the mother looks like a meth addict.

This is Very sad! They should not let people like her just bond out! She should be kept there and let her suffer and go without her drugs!

i just hope that she doesn't get them back, which it's a posibility that she would! it's happened before and it will happen again

That makes it even more sad!

There are probably hundreds of "mother's" who go out and party and leave their kids alone. They just haven't been caught yet. It's really sickening.

But what the heck does she want with FOUR children
these women have to be stopped somehow - there has to be consequences to both men and women who keep having children they cannot pay for and take care of.
There has to be something we can do, economic sanctions come to mind and they need to be enforced.

I say, if a girl has two children and is unmarried, automatic tubal.
