ORLANDO, Fla. -- On the two year anniversary of her 911 call that began the investigation into Caylee Anthony's disappearance, Cindy Anthony will testify Thursday about her state of mind when she discovered her granddaughter was missing.

Casey Anthony's defense team wants the calls made by their client's mother dismissed, claiming they are inadmissible at trial.

Cindy Anthony's attorney said his client will tell the truth in the hearing, which will be held at 2 p.m. EST Thursday, about her state of mind when she made the calls on July 15, 2008. The calls launched a months-long search for 2-year-old Caylee, which ended in December 2008 when her remains were found in a wooded area near the Anthony family's east Orange County home.

Cindy Anthony has not testified in two years, when things got tense between her and prosecutor Linda Drane-Burdick.

According to Brad Conway, the Anthony family's attorney, Cindy Anthony will answer questions about the 911 calls calmly. He said she will acknowledge she was frantic when the call was made, even though that admission could hurt her daughter in her trial for first-degree murder in Caylee's death.

"There's something wrong. I found my daughter's car today and it smells like there's been a dead body in the damn car," Cindy Anthony told a 911 dispatcher.

During the hearing, Casey Anthony's lawyers must establish that Cindy Anthony had several hours to calmly contemplate her words before calling 911.

"I found out my granddaughter has been taken. She has been missing for a month," Cindy Anthony told a 911 dispatcher.

Prosecutors argue that Cindy Anthony displayed raw emotion in the 911 calls, and so her comments should be allowed at trial under an exception to the hearsay rule called "excited utterance."

In addition, prosecutors said the 911 calls are admissible because they show the moment Casey Anthony first mentioned her daughter's alleged kidnapper.

"Who has her? Do you have a name?" the dispatcher asked Casey Anthony when she was put on the phone.

"Her name is Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez. ... She has been my nanny for about a year and a half, almost two years," Casey Anthony replied.

Conway said Cindy Anthony does not have a problem with the calls being used in the trial. He said, "it is what it is," and he believes the judge will allow the calls to be admitted into evidence.

Anthony's defense had a team of experts examine evidence in the case on Tuesday and Wednesday, including the Pontiac Sunfire Cindy Anthony referenced in her 911 calls.

The defense is hoping its team of experts will find something in the car that proves Anthony's innocence in Caylee's death.

"Any time you get a chance to inspect something you've never seen before -- only in photos -- it's a completely different way of looking at things," defense attorney Jose Baez said.

Well, well, if what Conway says is true, KC will not be mouthing "I love you" to CA any more...It doesn't sound like she is going to sugar-coat the 911 call....But, of course, that remains to be seen...

Another sign that the Casey Anthony case — nearly a year before the trial is set to begin — is receiving intense coverage today: truTV's "In Session" has built a set across the street from the Orange County Courthouse. The set is on Orange Avenue.

"It's our typical live set," said "In Session" spokeswoman Gina McKenzie. The set will be up until 3 p.m. Friday.

The channel's "In Session" begins coverage of the Anthony hearing at noon today. The hearing starts at 2 p.m.

Today's hearing will take up the issue of 911 calls that Casey's mother, Cindy Anthony, made two years ago. Those calls set the case in motion.

"In Session" and truTV have provided in-depth coverage, because the story is high-profile and compelling, McKenzie said.

"The network plans to cover the story very thoroughly, given that 'In Session' specializes in trial coverage," she said.

Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

WOW!! I hope there are no commercials on TrueTV just as Cindy or Lee or the judge or Baez is saying something pertinent or compelling. I put the TV on True TV and also have a live feed going so when TrueTV goes to commercial, I don't miss anything.

This is off topic, but I just want to say..I think Jean Casarez is awesome. Her coverage in Peru was outstanding, and she even hosted NG from there. Can you imagine? I find her to be extremely professional and knowledgeable and wish she would replace NG and have her own show.

Oh do I understand that one lisette! My son embarrassed me not long ago in front of his wife & SIL, he told me I needed to lose 'my obsession' with murdered & missing kids! I babysit for them everyday at their house and I use his wife's computer and I guess they see a detailed 'history' of what I read.... oh well.....

He is obsessed with sports so I throw this back at him. He says sports is not negative. The Casey Anthony preview: It has become a staple of noon newscasts when there’s big news coming in the afternoon.

The stations today talked about this afternoon’s hearing, where Cindy Anthony and Lee Anthony are expected to testify. Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

WFTV-Ch. 9’s Kathi Belich said that Cindy Anthony “has changed the story around her frantic 911 call three times and we might see this afternoon what it’ll be today. We also might hear Casey brother’s Lee for the time since she accused him of sexually abusing her.”

The stations explained the fight over Cindy’s 911 calls and whether they’ll be included at the murder trial.

The defense says they are hearsay and inadmissible. WKMG-Ch. 6’s Mike DeForest noted that prosecutors say Cindy “displays raw emotion in those calls,” and that the recordings “should be allowed at trial under an exception to the hearsay rule called excited utterance.”

DeForest predicted that a lot of people will be watching Lee Anthony’s reaction since it has been close to two years since he has seen his sister.

WESH-Ch. 2’s Jeff Lennox highlighted the family reunion aspect of today’s hearing. “George, Cindy, Lee and Casey Anthony will all be in the same courtroom for the first time in two years,” Lennox said. “They haven’t been seen together in a courtroom since Casey Anthony was indicted on murder charges back in October of 2008.”

Lennox also included legal analyst Richard Hornsby’s theory that Casey’s allegation that she was sexually abused — by her father and brother — could save her life if she is convicted of murder.

The hearing starts at 2 p.m.
