George's suicide note will be read by the prosecution. Pros and Defense are going at it.

JA is pointing out the fact that when he said he didn't put the duct tape on there, he was upset about being asked to implicate his daughter in Caylee's death because he still believed that she was still alive...Inference is that he was willing to lie for her then, though not said...I'm not sure how that will go over with the jury when they start comparing his inconsistencies. I'm sure he regrets now trying to cover for his lying, murdering daughter.

Rubber stamped proof she is a psychopath.....and a sociopath. How could she sit there like that? I would have expected her to at least shed a tear. Whatever happens to her is better than she deserves. The jury isn't much different than we are folks. Today pretty much sews it up.

KC really hates her father--has no empathy for him at all. What could he have done to instill this hatred for him? I don't think he molested her. I think that she wrote him off when she realized that he thought she might have killed Caylee, when she read his statements to LE about his negativity toward her. That probably gave her the idea to make it sound like he was trying to "pin this on her." She really hates him for not buying her BS like CA and LA did...She is a total sociopath!!

I have never bought the molestation crap......recall the look on her face a couple days ago with gnashing teeth when something didn't go her way. Betting that's normal for her.

Baez says the suicide note is heresay. Ashton wants the note to show G's emotional state. Ashton pointed to a case where a suicide note was in evidence. Ashton says that the note does not contain anything about the offenses that he has been accused of. G does say he had some regrets.

I think Baez opened a door that will not be shut. This note and the raw emotions coming from GA is going to his own Daughter. How awful would that be?

Ashton is reading a portion of the note......questions that G has and "proves" that G did not know what happened to Caylee. G wondered why Casey couldn't come to him or Cindy.
Baez is such a Bozo! He's objecting like crazy!

It sounds like JP agrees that the suicide note can be read, but he is trying to get both sides' arguments...

Ashton wants the note read to show G's state of mind. JP is saying the note could imply different things to different people, basically.....even guilt. JP says the defense has made G's state of mind an issue. Ashton says that the entire note rebuts that the suicide was because of George's guilt for the crimes that Baez has accused him of. Ashton wants to read the note in his rebuttal case. JP is going to contemplate and read a few more cases.

So JA will introduce note during rebuttal unless Perry finds law that prohibits it...Sounds like to me that he is going to allow it...

Baez made a huge mistake

JA is proffering questioning about the gun and the suicide attempt...out of presence of jury...

George still has feelings from time to time that he had when he went to the motel with the gun. Yes, he did leave a note stating his feelings at the time.

G sent text messages and called his family, sister, mom and dad, told them not to worry. G wanted to go and be with Caylee and said so in the note. LE intervened and if they hadn't come G wouldn't be here today.

So Baez has finally gotten to place George on trial

A - Did George express his feelings in the note about what might have happened to Caylee?
JP - Does Baez object to that testimony?
YOU BET HE DOES!

JA didn't tie gun into suicide, just other purpose for gun...

He didn't still have the gun in Jan. when he attempted suicide--police had confiscated it when KC was out on bail...

Baez is so stupid - the defense has opened the door so many times with the inane questioning and not having real knowledge of the law

G - wanting to get answers from people that were involved in Caylee missing......friend and assoc of Casey.....was going to force them at gunpoint to tell him. LE learned that G had the gun and they confiscated the gun. It was a violation because Casey was in the home. G had it in the rear spare tire area of his car. On 22 of Jan 2009 G went to a hotel to take his own life. G says he did. He decided to do it because of his emotional state and accepting that he didn't have a Granddaughter anyone. He wanted to be with Caylee and called relatives to say goodbye.

George wrote a letter to his loved ones and wrote letter to say how he felt and how he didn't want to be in this world. He included questions about what happened to Caylee. He felt he had to express how he was feeling. He wanted Cindy to know why he would be dead when he found the letter.....he couldn't tell Cindy what was in the letter "face to face".

I dont know why but this is getting to me and I started crying. Its so damn terrible for any family - they are so conflicted

Baez mentioned G sparring with JA at the depo and says the sparring was because JA asked about the gas cans and duct tape. G agreed it was "sparring".
G agreed that he got the gun when Casey was on house arrest. Someone explained rules about house arrest to the family arrest. If firearm was found Casey would have to go back to jail. LE was there within hours of getting the gun and almost took Casey back to jail. Geo never bought a gun before those conditions with the house arrest.

Baez says that G bought beer before going to the hotel to commit suicide.....and took blood pressure meds.

Just wanted to say that my computer was running slow....took forever to refresh the thread. Restarted it several times in the last couple days and it didn't help. This morning I turned off the modem and the router for five minutes and restarted the computer. Now my computer is running faster than a speedy bullet.

I was reading on a blog that is totally pro Casey - and thinks Baez is doing a wonderful job - I dont usually read over there except to get a barometer of the perception of the pro Casey people. Someone has posted the day Casey made that terrible face and lost control she was saying "you have to get me up there"
meaning to testify and after that Mason put in for a competency hearing.

Earlier today Baez asked Cindy if she knew anything about Lee going into Casey's room. She said NO.

Is that enough do you think re Cindy saying no molestation by Lee. So the State is going to impeach Cindys testimony about searching for chloroform but then ask the jury to believe her about Lee? Does that make sense?

Put her on there!! Would love it...I can just see JA or LDB playing one of the jail videos or recorded statements to the police and asking: "So which one is the lie, then or what you're saying now?" Jury would see for themselves how convincing she could be in her lies...

Did JP make a ruling this morning about Jessie Grund's testimony?

Did anybody listen to River Cruz on Levi Page radio show last night? I listened to part of it..I just don't know about her. She sounded very angry and had a pretty foul mouth, I thought. I do think there was more to their relationship than GA admitted, but I'm not sure how much...

raine, I don't think the Jesse Grund testimony was even mentioned. I wondered about that too.

Is it Jesse or Jessie Grund?...I've never been sure about the correct spelling. I think males usually use Jesse and females Jessie, but I guess that's just personal preference...

I listened to the River Cruz interview last night. She is very angry and you're right, has a horrible mouth. I kind of tend to believe her but who knows..... She'll be interesting on the stand that's for sure.

Yes there is a pro Casey blog on wordpress I lurk there- but not too long as my blood pressure goes up - when they write things like goooo Baez and say how well he did I get off!

I'm sorry, raine, I just finished catching up on reading here during the lunch break and saw where you had already discussed River on Levi Page...I'm just afraid that the defense is going to have all kinds of proof of that GA lied about her: cancelled checks she wrote to him (where DID she get that money, anyway?), records from the gate guard, text messages, love letters, etc. I'm afraid that will destroy his credibility and negate with the jury everything he has said today. If it is true, he should have just admitted it...It would have been better than being caught in a huge lie. He could have still denied saying, "It was an accident that snowballed out of control."
