The whereabouts of a 30-year-old Riverside woman remain a mystery — nearly three weeks after family members last spoke to her — prompting police to turn today to the public for help solving the case.

Kimberly Lynn Dow was last seen on Sept. 9, and Riverside police now question the circumstances of her disappearance.

According to Sgt. Dan Russell, Dow’s mother summoned investigators Sunday to her house in the 4300 block of Hillside Street to report her daughter missing, saying she had not spoken to her since Sept. 9.

There was heightened concern about the victim’s welfare because she has a medical condition that requires regular medication, and Dow’s mother was not sure whether her daughter had taken any with her, Russell said.

“Detectives from the Robbery-Homicide Unit are involved in the investigation, and through the investigation believe the victim’s disappearance is suspicious in nature,” the sergeant said, but did not elaborate.

Dow is white, 5-foot-6, 150 pounds with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes.

Riverside police are looking for the live-in boyfriend of a woman who was reported missing Sept. 23 by her mother.
Thomas James Fulk, 35, of Riverside, “has been actively avoiding contact by law enforcement,” police said in a news release. Fulk was living with Kimberly Lynn Dow, 30, at the home of Fulk’s father in the 2800 block of Irving Street.
While investigators continue to treat Dow’s disappearance as a missing-person case, they suspect she might have met with foul play
A warrant for Fulk’s arrest was issued Friday, Oct. 5, for probation violation in two unrelated cases. Investigators say Fulk has failed to report to his probation officer.
Dow’s mother reported her missing after not having contact with her for about two weeks, police said. She’s now been missing about four weeks.

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — Lori Dow can’t keep her hands steady when she holds one of the flyers for her missing daughter, Kimberly.

“It’s hard. Horrible. Everybody I go to… it’s just so hard to hand that flyer out,” said Lori Dow.

Jeff Nguyen, reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9, spoke to Dow’s concerned parents.

He also reported that the search for Dow has intensified. Dow is a white female, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Dow’s boyfriend, 35-year-old Tom Fulk, told police he last saw her on September 9.

Wednesday evening, Nguyen went to the condo where the couple lived. He said Fulk’s father answered the door.

Nguyen asked, ‘Did you live with him while he was here?’


“Yeah, yeah, yeah,” Fulk answered. “Until I made him leave.”

“You made him leave, Nyguen asked? “What about his girlfriend?

Fulk replies, “I don’t know, man.”

A warrant has been issued for Tom Fulk’s arrest. He is accused of violating probation on two unrelated cases.

Police also say he’s now a person of interest in Dow’s disappearance.

Sgt. David Amador of the Riverside Police Department says, “He’s resisted and avoided all of our attempts to contact him. Despite what he made have told friends and family.”

Dow’s parents say he’s avoided them as well. Dow’s father fears the worst — because no one heard from her on September 25 —her 30th birthday.

Said Mike Dow, “She’s never missed coming home for her birthday or at least calling us. And she didn’t call or anything.”

Dow suffers from Lupus and her family worries she is somewhere without her medication.

And while they wait – their home and cars are filled with the flyers — flyers begging for help.

Says her mom, “I just get up in the middle of the night and I get in my car and I just drive around and sit in the parking lot. Thinking ‘Oh, she might walk up.’ But it hasn’t happened.”

A Riverside woman missing for more than a month was murdered, her remains located in a field, authorities said today.

Kimberly Lynn Dow, 30, was last seen Sept. 9 by her mother, who reported her missing two weeks later.

According to Riverside police, Dow’s body was found Monday night in a field near Jurupa Avenue and Tyler Street.

“Ms. Dow’s death has been determined to be the result of homicide,” said Riverside police Sgt. David Amador.

No other details were disclosed.

Amador said Dow had been living with 35-year-old Thomas James Fulk of Riverside at his father’s home in the 2800 block of Irving Street, near Arlington High School.

Detectives have tried to contact Fulk several times, but he has been “actively avoiding contact by law enforcement,” Amador said.

Fulk has felony convictions for burglary and possession of controlled substances, as well as misdemeanor convictions for spousal abuse and battery, according to court records.

Fulk is on probation for the burglary, to which he pleaded guilty in August 2011. The plea agreement called for a year in jail, but he only served half of that.

An arrest warrant alleging probation violations was issued for Fulk two weeks ago.

Body of Missing Woman Found in Riverside

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KTLA) -- A body found in a field near Jurupa and Tyler roads has been identified as a mother missing since September.

Kimberly Lynn Dow, 30, of Riverside was reported missing by her mother.

The Riverside County Coroner's Office has ruled Dow's death a homicide.

Investigators now want to talk to Dow's boyfriend, Thomas James Fulk. The two had been living together until Dow's disappearance.

The Riverside Superior Court has issued an arrest warrant Fulk for violation of probation on two unrelated cases.

Detectives are requesting anyone who may have information regarding the whereabouts of Thomas Fulk, to contact Detective Jim Simons at 951-353-7138 or Detective Jim Brandt at 951-353-7137, or the Dispatch Center at 951-787-7911.

Fulk is considered armed and dangerous and the public should not attempt to contact him and are asked to call police if he is seen.

A bicyclist found Kimberly Dow’s body Saturday in a field near Jurupa Avenue and Tyler Street.

“Ms. Dow’s death has been determined to be the result of homicide,” said Sgt. David Amador.

Amador said her body had been wrapped.

“It was obvious someone was trying to conceal the fact that she was there,” he said.

The 30-year-old was last seen by her mother on Sept. 9, but she was reported missing two weeks later.

Amador said Dow was living with her boyfriend, Thomas Fulk, 35, who is a person of interest in the woman’s murder.

“He’s resisted and avoided all of our attempts to contact him,” said Amador.

Dow’s father fears Fulk is getting help from somebody.

“If you’re hiding him or if you’re helping him in any way….if he’s the killer of my daughter, then her blood is on your hands,” said Mike Dow.

Dow’s grieving mother, Lori, is left with unanswered questions about her daughter’s passing.

“(Fulk) is the one that can answer those questions. I mean, like my husband says…he needs to man up,” she said.

Court records showed Fulk has felony convictions for burglary and possession of controlled substances, as well as misdemeanor convictions for spousal abuse and battery.

A warrant was issued for Fulk’s arrest for probation violations.

I am so sad she is dead. My heart goes out to her family! Tonight is the firs time I've heard about this case on our local news, Riverside is probably 70 miles away.

That's what I thought. Honestly, I had forgotten about this case until I saw I had a "google alert" and was so sad to hear this.

I have no doubt they w/catch Fulk..just as they did Lynn Jackenheimer's killer. It always seems like a hunter or someone passing by finds the deceased instead of LE or The FBI.

The body found this week off Highway 60 near Beaumont has been identified as a Riverside man who was wanted for questioning after his girlfriend turned up dead last month.

Fulk commented Oct. 2 through his Facebook page on a news article about Dow’s disappearance: “kim I know your okay , please just contact your mom so everybody stops freaken out. your my best friend I love you kimmy” (sic).
Dow’s body was found Oct. 13 in a field off Tyler Street and Jurupa Avenue, on the edge of the Santa Ana River Wildlife area.
Riverside police ruled her death a homicide and were trying to find Fulk for questioning. Police said they believed Fulk was avoiding detectives after he was contacted to schedule an interview. Police considered him armed and dangerous.
Sheriff’s and coroner’s officials would not comment Friday on Fulk’s death and whether it was being investigated as a homicide or a suicide.
Riverside police Sgt. David Amador said Fulk is still considered a suspect in Dow’s disappearance and death.
He said he didn’t know the circumstances of Fulk’s death, but he did not believe Fulk and Dow were both victims of the same killer.

A Riverside man suspected of killing his girlfriend was the victim of a homicide himself, Riverside County authorities believe.
The decomposing body of Thomas James Fulk, 35, was found Oct. 29 off Highway 60 near Jack Rabbit Trail west of Beaumont. Sheriff’s officials said Tuesday, Nov. 6, that the case is being investigated as a homicide, but they would not release a cause of death.

Fulk’s girlfriend, Kimberly Dow, was reported missing Sept. 23, two weeks after her family last heard from her. Riverside police tried to bring Fulk in for questioning, but were unable to locate him and said he was avoiding contact. In early October, a warrant was issued for his arrest on a probation violation.
Dow’s body was found Oct. 13 in a field near the Santa Ana River Wildlife Area.
Riverside police Sgt. David Amador said Tuesday that Fulk is still the prime suspect in Dow’s death. Detectives are not looking for any other suspects, he said.
Amador said he did not have any evidence that Fulk’s and Dow’s killings were related.
Sheriff’s Sgt. Lisa McConnell said in an email that Central Homicide is looking into whether there is a link between the two cases.

Maybe she killed him while he was killing her???

I seriously wasn't trying to be a wise azz. Maybe they got into it so badly that they killed each other. Or, Yes..had not considered that the family might have intervened.

Oops sorry! I think their bodies were found in separate locations. It kind of sounds like family or a friend decided our legal system was too good for him and maybe someone took care of him. JMOO.

Maybe they got into it, she stabbed or shot him and he died at a later time at a later location.

Because I have unfortunately been a victim of DV, there were MANY times I thought of killing my ex while he slept..or setting the bed ablaze like in "The Burning Bed" but could not bring myself to do it.

Couldn't have blamed you if you did.

Ya, but I have a feeling I would have ended up in the clink for Murder 1. Honestly, I can say that is the ONLY reason I didn't do anything except get the hell out!

You would have! You took the best route out!

Which is what any one that is going through this should. It's not worth it to take another's life. Just get on w/yours.
