Misty Cummings Robbed At Apartment Complex - Here We Go Again!!

Misty Cummings was with two friends Monday evening. One friend got out of the car to talk to someone and when she returned, "two or three black males jumped on Cummings taking her purse and pulling her out of the vehicle," the report said.

Cummings managed to get back into the car and the driver took off. The third woman, however, chased after the men. Cummings was taken to Putnam County Medical Center after complaining of minor injuries. Police found a purse strap and a "crushed pill bottle with unknown pills inside" at the scene.

One of the women in the car told police after the incident that she and Cummings had gone to the apartment complex to buy drugs. Police were called to another scene while interviewing the women and no one was arrested.

This is never-ending with this girl. Newly divorced and buying drugs, probably oxycontin. Would love to know if the "crushed pills" were hers. Will PCSO fingerprint the bottle? I say "NO" they will NOT.

Shouldn't Misty be watching her P's and Q's since she is under so much speculation? Nothing phases this girl. NOTHING!! When will it end with her?

I think that Misty has been couch-hopping since the divorce. She can't go "home" (ugh..not much of a home IMO) until the Restraining Order is dropped. She is a drug addict and it didn't take long to get back with her old "friends" and do drugs, although I think she never really stopped per se', as Ron (IMO) is/was also doing drugs during their "marriage". Misty is a real trip!!

Misty wanted to "trip"......then those bad guys stole her money. :evil: Why would those girls admit to LE that they were buying drugs? Not that I condone lying, but it wouldn't have been first lie they had told, I'm sure.

I cannot imagine someone on a drug buying mission, being robbed, and then calling the cops. And WHY would her friends admitt this was the purpose of being where they were?

Something doesn't quite fit with this scenario. I think maybe Ron owes some debts and they are taking it out on Misty. We w/def hear more on this.

I hope LE deems the "crushed pills" were hers and arrests her. I am awaiting her mug shot. :drunken:

PALATKA, Fla. -- Palatka police said Misty Cummings, the former stepmother of missing 6-year-old Haleigh Cummings, and two other women were robbed Monday night.

Police said officers arrived at the Ragsdale Apartment Complex on Moody Road in Palatka at 8:15 p.m.
According to one of the victims, Brandy Steedley, 18, the women had driven to the complex so that one of the girls in the car could make contact with a friend.

Police said as the girl was getting back to the vehicle, two or three unidentified men approached the vehicle. They reportedly grabbed Cummings and stole her purse.

Police said Cummings was able to get back in the vehicle, and she and Steedley drove off in the vehicle. The third girl, identified as 22-year-old Melinda Santmyer, ran off on foot.
Officers located and interviewed Santmyer at an apartment in the complex. She told officers that the three women came to the apartment complex attempting to buy drugs.
Police said she told them she got out of the car to look for an unidentified man the women gave money to for drugs, and as she was going back to the vehicle, the men came up to them and stole Cummings' purse and her purse.
Cummings reportedly suffered minor injuries.
The incident comes just days after Misty and Ronald Cummings, Haleigh's father, finalized their divorce.
No suspects have been identified in the case. If anyone has information on the case, they are asked to call the Palatka Police Department at 904-329-0115.

Thanks for posting this. It will end when they arrest that girl and take away her drugs from her. Only then will she start talking to get out of jail.

I agree wholeheartedly, if Misty od's the truth is gone for good. Cannot imagine telling LE I was there on a drug buy. These morons do not have half a brain between all of them!!!!!!

Where does Misty and her girlfriends get the money to pay for drugs? Nobody seems to have a job but they all have money for drugs and they have money to get out on bail when they get arrested.

Good question, Janie. I would think they trade favors, if you catch my drift. I mean, none of them work I would imagine..so how else are they going to pay for them? Also, another way they pay is the dealer gives them a certain amount to sell and they make money selling to others.

So why don't they arrest the whole bunch? Yeah.. I know, there was NO crime committed by misty. She went to/or was with some onetrying to buy drugs. NOthing wrong with that unless you make the buy and get caught with the drugs I suppose.

Thanks, BJ..although I have listened to the first 911 call many, many times. And, everytime I do it just completely pisses me off with the "what?" "I don't know" and the cursing. It is completely obvious she was wasted on that call in February.

Just think of this. Why would three women go over to a gang infested tenement and let one go into the building alone. Also women buying drugs don't travel in "groups". One pulls up, somebody comes down or out, they exchange the money for drugs, they drive off.

The difference between the two 911 calls is like night and day. She is more upset about losing her damn ID than losing her responsibility....HaLeigh. Unreal.unreal....
She was actually beside herself, totally unlike the zombie that called to report HaLeigh gone. Like two different people.

Im not making excuses for Misty shes a train wreck allright but her family life has been crappy and shes what, 17 years old? Weve seen her mother who is 40 years old and looks 100 - she grew up with sexual abuse, drugs and booze. I guess she has no way to go but straight down right? And shes on that course. No schooling, drop out, a life of degradation, drugs and booze with a couple of kids to boot are in store for her

Too man sexual predators in Florida - Floridians need to get a very very strong amendment to the law regarding first offense sexual crimes - 25 years for a first offense. Something like that and get them in jail for most of their lives. Sexual predators cannot be cured - its not possible, they have to lock them up
and keep them locked up. Its the only way

She needs a good influence in her life, someone that truly cares about her to guide her thru the next few years. Sadly, I think it will never happen and that train will keep picking up speed until it derails.

Misty Croslin was granted a divorce from her husband of seven months, Ronald Cummings, Haleigh's father, was riding with two friends when the entered the apartment complex. After one of the women got out of the car to talk with someone, Misty Croslin-Cummings was attacked by "two or three black males," who pulled her out of the car and took her purse before she could jump back into her car. Supposedly, the third woman gave chase while Misty Croslin-Cummings was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries.

Police at the scene found a broken purse strap and a crushed bottle of pills. No one was arrested following the incident, even though the other woman in the car told police that she and Misty Croslin-Cummings had been there to buy drugs.

Although Misty Croslin-Cummings may have met with some rough treatment Monday night, her story lacks sense. There were three women and they told the police there were "two or three black men" that attacked her and pulled her from the car? What are the odds that three women who can't count are in the same vehicle?

The "black guy did it" routine is tried and true. The excuse/misdirection/cover-up/lie is a throwback to more segregated times when pointing at the black guy or minority was taken as an undeniable truth (including laws that forbade blacks to be able to testify against whites). It is still highly caustic, even though segregation has been legally dead for decades. And using an ambiguity within the story -- "two or three" -- makes the story sound even more suspect.

I think this was a set up to snatch Misty's cellphone to check photos, text messages, and address book. If Misty was "in the know" re:HaLeigh being hurt/killed, she may have taken photos to prove her innocence if need be. IDK, this is JMO.

ive watched cops, and the cops are relentless, eventually they get confessions from people because the people just get so tired of being hounded about it
