Who is Jack White? I know that is not her attorney. I can usually decipher these pretty well but what does the above in bold mean?

Doesn't Habeas Corpus usually refer to an error in the process, which can sometimes result in the defendant's favor? I knew someone once who actually was released from jail on a technicality, and it was something about habeas corpus, but I don't remember the details.
