Haven't tried that, Sly's, but I doubt it's your "crappy dialup" LOL. I don't think CNN or any media can post the really bloody pics, just like the media did not post some of the pics from the CA trial.

Darkman, thanks for finding out how long this trial will last. I personally can NOT imagine it lasting 3 months. The defense better have some very STRONG evidence to dispute that JA killed Travis in self defense.

There are not too many that are graphic. There IS a closeup of the ear to ear slit in his neck (I believe that is what it is) and there are many of the blood soaked carpet and bathroom. There are two of a check that JA wrote to TA in May of 2008, there are some of the camera found in the washing machine and one of the sim card found in the camera.

About every 5th pic, a promo ad pops up but just click on the "x" at the top right hand corner of the promo and it takes you to the pics.

Wrap, on one of the specials I watched on HLN they said they thought she stabbed Travis in the heart first while he was in the shower (2 minutes after taking that photo of him shown on HLN where he looks sad in the shower) and then he ran out of the shower into the hallway and she ran after him stabbing him in the back and then dragged him back into the shower, stabbed him some more and then shot him in the face when he was down. (And then took his photo after he was dead. Ugh.) So the blood all over would probably be when he was trying to get away from her and they were fighting over the knife. The coroner said he had several defensive wounds in his hands from trying to grab the knife from her.

I cannot bring myself to look at the "Jodi is innocent" FB page (yet). I've gotten "Google alerts" on it several times but am never in the mood to read ignorance.

Thanks also for telling us she Does have siblings and family. I cannot imagine what they must think of her..no mention of any friends or family members in the courtroom that I know of.

Also, your explanation re: the blood in the hallway makes perfect sense. For some reason, I was under the impression she shot him in the face/head First and Then stabbed him but this makes a lot more sense.

There was no shortage of drama in the first week of the Phoenix murder trial for Jodi Arias, a photographer whose calm and defiant behavior after her lover's violent murder in 2008 has drawn media comparisons to Casey Anthony.

Charged with stabbing Travis Alexander before slitting his throat and shooting him in the head, Arias, 32, could become the fourth woman on Arizona's death row if convicted.

Here are six revelations from the opening statements and the initial witnesses:

•After stabbing Alexander 27 times (Note: It's been reported that it was actually 9 times) and slitting his throat from ear-to-ear, Arias allegedly shot him with a .25-caliber gun – the same caliber weapon that Arias and her grandparents reported stolen from their Northern California home just days before the killing.

•The defense portrayed the victim – a Mormon motivational speaker – as an abusive, sex-crazed deviant who treated Arias as a sex slave, asked her to wear a French maid outfit and a t-shirt reading "Travis Alexander's."

•The victim called Arias a "slut" and a "whore" in e-mails – yet he told her his passwords for social media sites, according to attorneys.

• When she called Mesa police a day after Alexander's body was found, offering to "help," Arias calmly told a detective she hadn't seen Alexander since two months earlier, when she moved back to California (she'd change her story twice, eventually claiming she killed Alexander in self-defense). Arias also inquired if there was a lot of blood at the crime scene.

• Police recovered a bloody handprint that contained a mixture of Arias' blood and Alexander's.

• At the end of his opening statements, the prosecutor played an excerpt from Arias' September 2008 interview, where she emphatically stated, "No jury will convict me, mark my words, no jury will convict me, because I'm innocent."

She's now claiming that she killed Travis Alexander in an act of self defense, but just days after Travis Alexander was found slaughtered, Jodi Arias wrote an effusive farewell to her boyfriend on the guestbook for Legacy.com, the online obituary service.

Travis, what can I say to you that I haven't already said? I am so grateful for the endless hours of conversation and amazing experiences we've shared. Jodi's comments about Travis and the impact their relationship had on her life now seem more than a little creepy in light of the accusations against her.

As RadarOnline.com has been reporting, Alexander's body was discovered by concerned friends on June 8, 2008. He'd been shot and stabbed 27 times, with his throat cut from ear-to-ear.

His ex-girlfriend, Arias, was immediately suspected of the crime, and her long delayed death penalty murder trial got underway on Wednesday.

Introduced as evidence was a camera prosecutors say they found in the washing machine at Alexander's home. It contained photos of Alexander and Arias having sex just before he was killed, as well as photos of his dead body in the shower.

In what investigators say was Jodi's third version of what went down that day, the accused killer claimed Alexander became irate after she dropped the camera in the washing machine and he attacked her.

The trial, which is fast becoming the most watched murder case since Casey Anthony, will resume in Mesa, Arizona on Tuesday, January 8.

December 27, 2011 - Arias' younger sister, Angela Arias, said her sister's statements during the "48 Hours" interview were lies and that Alexander's death was an act of self-defense on her sister's part during an incidence of domestic violence.

"She was not under oath when she spoke on TV and yes, she lied," Angela Arias wrote on Facebook after The Huffington Post sent her a request for comment. "But, it was because she was so in love with that man she did not want people to know what a monster he really was. She wanted everyone to believe that he was as amazing as they thought he was ... My sister is innocent of the crime they are accusing her of ... She did kill Travis but it was not in cold blood, it was not for revenge, it was because she was afraid for her life."

~ The Arias family are running support pages on FB where they defame the victim and his family. They have even gone so far as to call Travis a paedophile.

The trial is on live right now on TruTV - In Session. (Channel 204 on DISH, not sure of others). Jodi is wearing glasses today. She looks like a twin of her attorney.
Right now the fingerprint expert who took the crime scene photos is testifying. They're looking through blood stains on the bathroom floor and hallway, and the expert is explaining where the body was found in relation to the stains.

They're already on lunch break. Mike Brooks and Jean C. and Beth K. are talking over how long Jodi stayed after Travis was killed. She washed up some of the blood, washed laundry, there were sheets in the dryer. Mike Brooks said, "Why would you clean up if it was self defense?"

There was so much more blood on the scene than we have seen previously. They showed close ups of the walls and rug in the hallway. Gruesome.

The jury learned gruesome details about the violent death of 30-year-old Travis Alexander during day three of the Jodi Arias' murder trial on Tuesday.

As bereaved family members watched in a Phoenix courtroom, a medical examiner began testifying in graphic detail about the brutal attack that resulted in Alexander's death.

Dr. Kevin Horn, of the Maricopa County Medical Examiner office, described how Alexander was stabbed 27 times, shot in the right brow with a .25-caliber gun, and nearly decapitated when his throat, voice box and arteries were cut. As Horn spoke, jurors looked at photos of the dead Arizona man whose body, Horn said, was found in his Mesa home June 9, 2008, several days after he was killed, decomposing and starting to mummify.

During the testimony, Alexander's family members left the courtroom. Arias cried as post-mortem photos were shown and appeared to use her long dark hair to shield herself from the jury.

Prosecutors say that Arias, a 32-year-old photographer from Yreka, Calif., killed Alexander in cold blood, but her defense team claims she acted in self-defense.

According to Horn, Alexander's stab wounds were very deep and inflicted with major force. It was, Horn testified Tuesday, impossible to determine if Alexander was dead before he was shot due to the amount of decomposition. The cause of death was excessive blood loss from the victim's body, he said, and Alexander had multiple self-defense wounds to his palms and fingers, a key element of the prosecution's case.

Heather Connor, a Mesa Police Department fingerprint examiner, continued her testimony Tuesday after first taking the stand Friday. Tuesday, Connor took the court through photos of Alexander's hallway, master bedroom and bathroom. The jury was also shown a photo of a bloody handprint on a wall that prosecutors said contains a mixture of Alexander's and Arias' DNA.

Last week, Connor unveiled evidence found at the crime scene, including blood, a bullet casing, a broken camera and a SIM card prosecutors said contains deleted images of Arias naked on a bed and of Alexander's body.

Conner is expected to take the stand again Wednesday morning.

If convicted, Arias could face the death penalty.

Jodi Arias stabbed and slashed ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander with such force that a wound to his head chipped away bone from his skull and his throat was cut so deeply that the knife almost reached his spinal cord, the Maricopa County medical examiner testified today.

The graphic testimony about Alexander's injuries came on the third day of Arias' murder trial in Phoenix, Ariz. Arias cried throughout the testimony and looked away from photos of Alexander's decomposing body taken by Medical Examiner Kevin Horn.

Alexander's sisters, who looked away from the gruesome photographs for much of the testimony, eventually abandoned their courtroom seats and left crying.

Horn also testified that Arias fired a bullet through Alexander's brain, likely after he was already dead. Establishing a sequence of events in the murder is crucial to the state's effort to secure the death penalty in this case.

According to Horn, Arias stabbed Alexander at least nine times in his upper back and one time in his chest so deeply that she punctured a vein going into his heart. While he was being stabbed, Alexander likely put up his hands to block the blows or grab the knife, resulting in cuts on the front and backs of his hands and arms.

Alexander suffered two deep stab wounds to the back of his skull which chipped away part of his skull bone. Arias then slashed his throat with a three- or four-inch slash wound, cutting his major arteries.

"The jugular vein and carotid artery are both cut. It goes all the way back to the spine, three or four inches. It doesn't go through the spinal cord, but it cuts all the soft tissue and structure in front of the neck," Horn said, describing a photo of the slash across Alexander's throat.

"He's going to lose consciousness within seconds and die a few minutes later," Horn said.

"He could get up and walk a couple of feet, move, and then collapse," Horn said. The medical examiner said Alexander would lose consciousness within a few seconds. "If this was only injury (he'd die) probably in a few minutes," Horn said.

Horn also described the gunshot wound, which he said would have caused Alexander to lose consciousness or die "very rapidly." The medical examiner said there was no bleeding near the site of the bullet wound, which could prove that Alexander was already dead by the time Arias shot him.

Arias's attorneys have argued that Alexander was an abusive and threatening boyfriend and characterized him as a "sexual deviant." They claim Arias killed Alexander in self defense.

In earlier testimony today, the jury saw grisly photos of a bloody palm print on a wall and floor taken in Alexander's house, at the scene of the killing.

A crime scene investigator from the Mesa, Ariz., police department described the photos, which showed tile floors and walls of a bathroom and hallway that were covered in blood when Alexander was found dead in his home in 2008.

Detailing photos presented by prosecutors Heather Conner, a latent print examiner with the Mesa police department, identified bloody smudges on the floor as shoe prints and pointed out a bloody palm print on the floor and on a door. She did not identify whose prints they were.

The prosecution is attempting to prove Arias stalked Alexander after the pair broke up and he began dating other women. They allege that she murdered Alexander out of jealousy, and then changed her story twice when lying about the murder to investigators.

Prosecutors have told the jury that Alexander was a devout Mormon who was seduced and then stalked by Arias. They dated from 2006 to 2007, but continued a sexual relationship until his death in 2008.

I had to work shortly after they went on lunch break, so never got to see more on TV. Watched part of HLN tonight and saw the roommate of Travis and Beth K describing the order of the wounds.

This poor guy really suffered a lot of pain. Hopefully it will be obvious to the jury it was not self defense.
