Police in Wilmington again used sonar on Wednesday morning to check a retention pond in their search for the body of a missing Sabina mother. Divers Have Not Found Body of Missing Sabina Woman
On Tuesday, during the search for Pitzer, sonar detected a possible body in the water. They also retrieved what they believe to be human hair from that area.
Wilmington city officials told Local 12 reporter, Angenette Levy that divers searched the pond until well after midnight for any sign of Casey Pitzer but so far, they have not found any body.
Crews left the pond for some sleep at an 9 a.m. Wednesday, they were back out with sonar again searching the pond bottom. Officials plan to meet at 11 a.m. to discuss their options.
For 3 days, Pitzer's family has gathered near the pond looking for the mother of 2 and waiting for answers. Amanda Gordley, Casey's sister "Staying here is what Casey would have done for us."
Windy weather conditions and the fact that the pond is spring-fed hampered efforts to find anything on Wednesday. Her family held vigil nearby. "She was the best sister in the world. She's going to be dearly missed. Fun, loving, caring mom to her kids. She is going to be missed."
Now Casey Pitzer's family and friends are leaning on one another. Casey Pitzer's family doesn't want to leave until they know the divers have located something.
A Wilmington police officer is guarding the area of a retention pond where officers and crews have spent the past few days looking for the body of 32-year-old Casey Pitzer.
The Sabina mother vanished early Sunday morning. Investigators were searching the pond off State Route 73 in Wilmington after they found a pair of boots belonging to Pitzer in the water.
Local 12 was the only news crew there Wednesday morning.
On Tuesday afternoon, a sonar put out markers where Casey's body may be under the water. Officials then asked the media to move away from the pond as they prepared to send divers in.
Local 12 spoke with Casey's sisters, who say the search is over and they wanted to thank everyone for their prayers and concerns. The family was seen hugging and crying near the pond, and telling each other that Casey had been found.
Pitzer has two sons.
The mother of two was last seen early Sunday morning. She'd been out drinking with friends. Her last stop was Uncle Louie's Lounge. "We've known her for years. So we always took care of her. Her and her friends. It's heartwrenching to all of us. it's like one of our own," said Buck Barney.
Casey and her friend, Tami McKay, had a disagreement in the parking lot and Casey walked away.

Greg Pitzer has spent two days searching for his daughter, Casey. "She was a beautiful, beautiful girl and she had a lot of friends and a very good mother."

Buck Barney says Casey didn't want to leave. Casey and her friend, Tami McKay, had a disagreement in the parking lot and Casey walked away. "She's the biggest hearted person ever and everybody loved her."
McKay says her daughter's boyfriend and one of his friends saw Casey and picked her up. At some point, Casey wanted to get out of the car. "She asked to get out of the car, asked for them to stop the car. The car stopped, she got out. She took off running across all four lanes of 73 and from there she disappeared."
The men looked for Casey and called 9-1-1. As family searched the area ... police and divers focused on a retention pond next to State Route 73. "They found her boots in the water and they say the cadaver dogs are hitting on the water but the sonar's not finding anything."
Friends and family of Casey gathered near the pond - waiting for answers. "It's just terrible. My daughter's out there and we need her home. We need closure."
The retention pond is 40 feet deep. Police say they have no reason to doubt the story of the two men Casey was with yesterday morning. They say the men are cooperating.
Casey Pitzer has two sons - ages 14 and 11.

Friends and family are continuing the search for a missing Sabina woman as police release the woman's name and more details about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
32 year old Casey Pitzer disappeared after midnight on Saturday, March 16th. According to Chief Detective Josh Riley of the Wilmington Police Department, Pitzer left a bar on the east side of Wilmington on foot around 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning walking eastbound on US 22&3. She got into a car which headed south on SR 73.
Shortly after entering SR 73, Pitzer wished to exit the car and the car pulled over to the side of the highway. Pitzer ran east across four lanes of traffic and was last seen running toward an area where there is a retention pond that was created when the highway was built.
Air search teams were called in along with K9 units to aid in the search. A dive team searched the pond in the area where she was last seen. Indications are that she may be in the pond.
Family and friends are continuing the search. Local 12 has a crew on the scene and we'll post any new information here.

Casey Pitzer, 32, disappeared early Sunday morning, March 17.
SONAR got a hit on a human hair on Tuesday, so her family presumed her body had been found and that she was dead.
However, Wilmington Police say her body has not yet been found, and they are resuming the search on Wednesday.

"She was a loving beautiful daughter, a very good mother, a very good daughter and we miss you," said her father, Gregory Pitzer.
Family members said they're thankful for all the support from local organizations, friends, and family.
"A little town Port William where she grew up, that town must be empty because everyone from that little community is here," revealed Pitzer.
Casey is a mother of two young boys. Her father said the older son had a birthday last week who she planned to take out for dinner on Sunday.

Yep..bet she wouldn't have done that if she'd been smoking pot..no alcohol..or NOTHING in her system.
