What will life be like for Jodi Arias in a maximum security prison?
Experts say whether she gets a life sentence or the death penalty, her life behind bars will basically be the same.
"She is going to spend a lot of time alone," said Barrett Marson who was the Communications Director for the Department of Corrections for three years before starting his own public relations firm, Marson Media.
Marson said she will be in the maximum security wing of the Perryville State Prison in the west Valley. Arias will be in a cell that is six feet by eight feet tall with a toilet, shelf and bed. A place she will be by herself 23 hours a day.
Arias, like the other 132 maximum security female inmates, will be shackled and walked by armed guards to a small fenced-in area for an hour of outdoor activity, six days a week.
She will eat in her cell alone, three square meals a day with a rotating menu, but will also be able to buy things like candy, chips and soda at the prison canteen. "It's okay food," said Marson. "I've had it. It's not going to get a lot of stars, but it will pass."
Arias will not be allowed to touch other inmates or visitors and won't be allowed to use social media sites like Twitter or Facebook. Marson said Arias will be well-known by the prison population by the time she arrives.
Her connection to the outside world will be a TV, which she can buy from the prison, and a small shoebox-sized window to see outside.
"These people have nothing to lose so you don't want to give them any chances," said Marson.

Yesterday we reported that a motion was filed regarding victim impact statements.

Garry Scarff, a member of this page, advises the following:

Beth Karas now has a copy of Nurmi's motion regarding videotaped impact statements. Nurmi has filed for all victim impact statements - State and def. - be videotaped to prevent emotional outbursts in front of the jury, especially when Travis' siblings take the stand.

The def. attorneys on HLN say the motion will be denied and Nurmi knows it, but he filed to placate Arias who was "disturbed" by the family's reaction yesterday when the verdict was read.

I guess Nurmi is stuck with this case through to the end. I doubt he would want to quit at this point, because it would give her one more issue to appeal.

I've always said that if Arias wanted to die, she would have been dead by now, and I still think so.

The death penalty is not about revenge for what she has done. It is about punishment for the behavior that brought her to murder Travis Alexander, a human being.

Taking her life is punishment, pure and simple. She doesn't know what will happen when she dies. If she believes in heaven and hell, then she'll be going to hell, and eternal punishment will be waiting for her there.

motions like that and he knows are a waste of time. I am having my doubts the motion caused the delay. I tend to think that Jodi is being evaluated as she is probably insisting she take the stand and tell the jury to put her out of her misery as fast as possible.

I began using the angel avatar during the investigation of the Caylee Anthony case. Most bloggers recognize it because it is the only avatar I have used in more than 4 years, but today I felt there was a need to change it to reflect my feelings related to the fate of Jodi Arias.

I truly believe she will spend eternity in Hell, and the fire she will experience there will be far more intense than the fire she felt in her loins, and that which she flaunted in the face of this nation and in the faces of the family and friends of Travis Alexander.

Her inability or unwillingness to resist the temptation she vowed to resist is her downfall. Whatever she might claim, she took a vow of chastity but had no intention of honoring that vow, her church, Travis Alexander or God Himself.

She has made it evident that she has no self-respect even though she, and we, were made in the image of God. This is equivalent to blasphemy, the one and only sin that cannot and will not be forgiven by Him.

May the flames of Hell consume her pitiful and pathetic self.

Ok I have to speak my mind on this and im sure alot of you wont agree with me but.... Jodi's mom and grandma didnt kill Travis, they didnt tell her to kill Travis. My grandma broke both her hips and my mom had COPD although they were both able to walk some times it was hard or painful for them so when we went some where that was a long walk a long wait in line or alot of stairs we put them in a wheel chair because it was easier on them and did it out of love. Dont make them guilty by association. Its just not right to bash them for Jodi's acts.
Also If it was my child or grandchild on trial no matter how much I disagreed with what they had done I would still love them and be there, as Im sure most of if not all of you would for your own.
If Jodi wants her money to go to her mom she wont get it reguardless. Her mom would have to put it on her books for her to have access to it so it would be taken anyway. Jodi wont profit from it at all.

Sly I agree that Jodi family should not be looked at as responsible for what Jodi did. My comment about Jodi's Grandmother came from my experience with my own Mother. My Mom can not walk very far. When there is a long walk to where we are going I push her in a wheelchair. But when she does walk she needs to use a walker. Based on my experience working with homebound and elderly people they use walkers or canes to help them walk when not in a wheelchair. Plus they don't walk at a speed that I saw Jodi's Grandmother walk in that video. It is very possible that the wheelchair thing was to invoke sympathy.

A man has been arrested in Arizona after tweeting a bomb threat immediately following the reading of Jodi Arias' guilty verdict. Laquint Cherry, 18, was taken into custody and faces a felony charge for making threats.

Arias was found guilty of murder in the first-degree, making her eligible for life behind bars or the death penalty. While crowds gathered outside the courtroom cheered the news, there were those who were quite upset. Cherry was apparently one of those and decided to take action.

Cherry tweeted that an explosive device was going to be placed in the courtroom and would detonate sometime on Thursday.

"Planted some IEDs in the #jodiarias Superior Court room in Phoenix Arizona tomorrow I'll become a HERO and also shot by pigs once I unload," Cherry reportedly tweeted.

Once the sheriff's office learned of the tweet, they increased security at the courthouse and conducted numerous bomb sweeps but came up empty-handed.

Police then traced the tweet back to Cherry and managed to locate him at a hotel in west Phoenix. The bomb squad and SWAT team worked together at the hotel and reportedly found ammunition in the room but no bomb making materials. Cherry was arrested for making threats, and a female companion was questioned and released.

"This morning we surrounded the hotel; he didn't want to come out. In fact, we made a call, he said he wasn't coming out, he said he was going to shoot the cops," Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio told the press. "One thing I'm concerned about: Is he a lone ranger? Or is there someone else around here that has bombs or anything else. We don't know."

Cherry had also posted several other tweets that concerned authorities.

"Follow me so I can be on CNN and kill people," read one. "I'm curious as to where the #BostonBombing suspects or anyone would obtain the explosives? Because I'd like to buy some," Cherry posted.

He is currently being held by authorities.

"There's a lot of regret because I was really hoping to get a plea and avoid talking about a lot of things that came out about him... we could've been able to avoid the murkier aspects of his life that he kept hidden... now the curtain has been drawn and you can see the hypocrisy and everything that was there."

Maybe they put her in the psych ward just so she'd stop doing interviews. I think it's great they wouldn't even let her family visit her. All she'd do would be to pass more lies through them to the outside.

I'm betting she'll pull a fainting stunt or something else if she does come back to court on Wednesday. She has to be missing all the attention.

About 6 hours after killing him, Jodi Arias calls Travis Alexander's phone and leaves him an eerie voicemail message. It was no doubt a calculated move - she makes certain that she is almost out of Arizona before she even dares turning her phone back on, knowing that her cell phone's location could be triangulated (the same reason she turns the phone off when entering Arizona & keeping it off while visiting Travis). She makes the call when she is near the Arizona-Nevada border, about a 4 hour drive away from Travis' home. Conveniently for her, that is the time she claims she found her phone charger.

The call is stunning because as we hear her voice, we know that she just shot & stabbed someone 29 times just hours earlier. She actually sounds nervous, jittery, rushed - she was probably still freaked out of her mind as she was making this call.

It's now known that she knew Travis' phone pin number so that she could listen to his messages. There are probably things that she heard on his messages in the weeks before his death, things that only she knows about, that pushed her over the edge & decide to go about killing him.

Jodi was so keen on trying to keep detectives off her scent that she even called Travis' phone 10 days after killing him.

I can't see Hodi apologizing after she continues to insult Travis after her guilty verdict. Her severe narcissism isn't going to allow her to painlessly feign being sorry for slaughtering Travis. It's possible her severe narcissism won't allow her to feign any remorse in front of Travis' friends and families.

Jodi has an agenda and she's on a mission. It's obvious listening to the voice message and the interview. She'll still be trashing Travis when she's six feet under.
She's never going to stop!

Jodie Arias got what she deserved first degree premeditated murder now comes the death penalty. Now it time to say sorry to Travis Alexander family for slaughtering Travis Alexander. I really hope no money comes her way. I was abused by my ex-husband and was hit by a wooden spoon many times by mother and ever wanted to kill anybody. I told my parents and friends about my abused. She really does need to admit to what she did and quit her lying about everything. She needs to waive all of her appeals.

Justice for Travis is almost done Now she has to FACE the Family of Travis to hear how her selfishness has Impacted their Family FOREVER and NOT HIDE Behind a Video Camera so that she can Continue her lies about a MAN that did anything for her and when he had enough with her Mental Abuse of HIM she SLAUGHTERED him like a Farm Animal. If only the family of Travis could do the same to her and make her Die a SLOW and PAINFUL Death that would be TRUE Justice. She will have MANY years of being alone in her cell for 23 1/2 hours a day till the Final Day that she takes her LAST breath of air and the family of Travis will know that she will never do this to anyone else. I also Blame her Parents for NOT getting her help with her MENTAL ILLNESS when they knew all along that she needed to be Diagnosed and Treated for her Mental illness. Wait did you say- she finally SNAPPED? A couple of months ago while testifying in her own defense, she was defending herself in the bathroom. No mention of 'snapping' there. As a matter of fact she thought she was pointing an unloaded gun at him and didn't even know it went off! What happened in the past two months? Oh wait, a NEW STORY!! You are all so stinking stupid it's unreal. The Alexander family has grace and dignity, the Arias family that has shown their face so far - what a joke, gun chewing, giggling, lying murder defenders. If you remember, JA's mama wrote a big letter begging to keep Mr Nurmi on the case, so you asked for it. You got it. Can't blame him that a jury of her peers found a Murderer guilty of Murder. You really have to STOP blaming other people for everything. Being the victim all the time gets old doesn't it? Also, I might take down the "help get legal counsel in caae you take matters into your own hands". It doesn't take a brain surgeon to know that isn't a smart thing to say. AND Finally, I also wouldn't think ONE person would come to you or your site for help with domestic violence, they go to someone who actually had experience with it.

I also would like to say God Bless Juan Martinez - a true angel in this fight for justice. He never forgot who the real victim was. I have read the official letters where your family begged for Nurmi to stay on this case. Do you think the verdict would be different with new attorneys, because the evidence is the evidence and you can try this case over and over and it will still come back Murder in the 1ST degree. Travis Alexander was SLAUGHTERED worse than a common farmyard animal. No jury will ever bring back a verdict less than M1, you can mark my words on that.

I have to wait for two more hours for Dateline.

I've heard that 20/20 on ABC will have a segment on Jodi too.....the last half hour.

I'm watching 20/20 now, that's on the case also.

According to convicted felon Donavan Bering, Arias' Twitter will be back up in a couple of days.

Bering reiterated to RadarOnline that she removed Arias' Twitter and that any other account claiming to be Arias is fake - as are websites raising money for new def. attorneys.

"It was me and only me, no one else," Bering said about the decision to suspend the controversial account, but maintains that it will be back up in a few days.

~ As a convicted felon on parole, is Bering able to associate with Arias now?

Sly's, I understand what you are saying. It's extremely difficult for me to take long walks due to neuropathy. I always get the wheelchair in the airport. That being said, I doubt the walk was that long to walk in the courthouse and sit down. I sure don't blame Sandy or Jodi's grandmother for Travis' death but do find it a tad strange the grandmother can be seen walking around after the verdict but needs wheelchair assistance in court.

Re: wanting the victim's impact statements tape recorded, this is BS!! I hope the judge does NOT allow this. Travis' family has waited for 5 years to be able to speak their mind and they have every right to look at Hodi smack dab in those cold eyes and tell her what they think of her.

I agree on the impact statements, Wrap. She needs to face up to what she's done.

It could be it was the defense's idea for grandma to be in a wheelchair in the court room to garnish sympathy. (Or to have a softer seat than those chairs.)
