KC looks a little "frumpy" today...What's with the hair in her eyes? She and Bozo are having a "flirty" chat...

Looks like she is telling him what he needs to be doing...She is so SMART, not to have graduated from high school...

Bozo is talking to CA...Maybe he is telling her that KC is not happy with her outfit. CA looked thrilled to be consulted on camera.

I can't hear JA when he is at his table..

What Sims just said seemed to make sense...That it was not recognizied by his organization and few people are researching in the area of decomposition. I don't think it bodes well for inclusion of this evidence in the trial. Of course, I guess JP will have to take into consideration this man's expertise in the field.

KC outfit is awful today.

I think JP just wants as much info as he can gather in order to make the right decision...That's why he is overruling JA so much.

I can't hear JA on WFTV.com or TruTv either, so I think it has something to do with the mics and the video-conferencing..

OK, I'll try that one if it doesn't cause my computer to run slow like it usually does...

I can hardly hear anybody on the orlandosentinel site...Fox is better for me. Maybe it's just my computer.

JP is questioning them how this article she is wanting to enter into evidence meets the four-pronged standard for meeting Frye. He seems to know his stuff..

Fox won't even come up for me now. Volume is a problem on the sentinel.

Strange. I am watching Fox and it is doing fine for me..Brief recess. No time stated. JP announced that state is funding Fla. courts through May, as of now. So, the trial is still on for May 9, I guess.

LM, I am also able to pull up WFTV.com and WESH.com live feeds, but they have to be refreshed ever so often...That's why I like Fox because it just keeps going--usually...Don't know what's going on with your 'puter...

The only problem I've had with Fox is sometimes around lunchtime, you start getting reports in the background, as they prepare for their noon news...The signals get mixed, I guess.

Got up late again - just heard about Florida courts - if Caseys trial starts it will get precedence over others that have not started in case of a budget shortfall so we are safe as far as her not getting tried - at least that is good news. They have to sequester the jury which is a shame, but after this inmate made a motion
and it got into the news it will show how much harm can come from people in the area reading the news.

They're back...She's trying to enter another article into evidence. JA is objecting due to relevance.

I really think the sound problems have to do with the video-conferencing set-up. There is a constant roar on all the sites as well as TruTv. Only Sims and JP's mics seem to override it.

JP wants her to "tab" the pages from the article that she wants him to consider.

Maybe JA and LDB don't have their mic turned on at their table...

Haha...Dr. Logan disagreed with Sims that he had conducted decompositional studies. He has done studies with decompositon of pigs as it relates to drugs. Dr. Logan says that he read these articles in preparation for this trial. JA is saying that he didn't have prior knowledge or expertise in this area.

Although Dr. Logan seems very smart and honest, I don't think he is an expert in the field that they are bringing for a Frye hearing. JP will take that into account, I believe, but, if he's not qualified, I think this is a waste of time.

So ridiculous! It is obvious that a decompositional event took place in KC's trunk...the smell that was testified to by MANY people validates it. JA is mumbling to himself. He is such a "straight arrow" in his practice of law, he can't believe that this stuff is actually going on...

JA objected to Sims' use of the term pseudo-science...She is trying to use the example of use of divining rods to find water.

JP is warning them about "going a long way around" to get to what he needs to know to make his decision...At the close of the day at 5:00, no more testimony..He will decide on what he has heard. I think that is a disadvantage to the state. If the defense uses up all the time, they will not have time to cross-examine thoroughly.

He did say that he would put a time limit on the attorneys, but he didn't say how much.

Just a thought: If you were a juror, would you think someone testifying that they knew and recognized the smell of human decomposition would be too subjective and would not accept it as evidence? i.e. that the smell could possibly come from the garbage? Do they HAVE to have this opinion from Dr. Vass in order to convince the jury? What do you think?

KC is probably thinking that she was pretty clever to throw that bag of garbage into the trunk, that it has really "muddied the water" for the prosecution. :muahaha:

Another source for these chemicals per Dr. Logan...carpet cleaner, some other source. Sims: If Caylee went swimming in Tony Lazzaro's pool on June 2, and her mother put her wet swimming suit in the trunk, could that leave trace of chloroform? JA objected and JP sustained.

I see that Bozo is clicking away on his ballpoint pen...LDB is sitting on the opposite end of the table, probably to get away from that...He is no obnoxious!

Wonder when JP is going to cut this testimony off so that JA will have time to cross-examine...What about the stain in the trunk and heart sticker? Are they going to have time to get to those today?

Does JP dare to limit these attorneys? Wouldn't that be a basis for an appeal? It is so unfair to allow the defense to take up all the time...

KC is paying close attention. I think she realizes that JA is capable of impeaching this testimony.

Dr. Logan seems to have gotten very defensive since JA started questioning him...

JA is much calmer and methodical today...
