You are so correct. If the girl is 18 years old and 1 day then she's barely legal even if she looks 14. The Sheriff and others may have jumped the gun on this one. I would think that if that much *real* cp were found that LE would want to arrest asap, after all it could be a danger to society, especially when there's a missing girl. It would not surprise me to find out this was barely legal porn.

Waving hello from Staten Island, just across the bridge from New Jersey. I flew from Boston to Newark. Let's see an hour of traffic into the city. Parked and walked from the parking garage allllllllll the way over to the terminal. 20 min walk. I was dying with laptop bag and suitcase.. Plus it was 88 degrees today. Then, check in, stand in long security line, 20 mins and then X rayed. That's twice in two weeks!

Flying time after boarding, 45 mins. Then on the other side, longggggggggggg walk to baggage claim and then it was a joke getting to the car rental. Newark makes you walk and walk and walk and then go back up the escalator and walkkkkk to the "sky train". Hot hot hot, some not so clean passengers.. (Gross) and then yup, walkkkkkkkkk to the car rental. I was a mess by then. I think I needed a wheelchair ! I'm sure they thought there was something seriously wrong as I was perspiring (sweating is more like it). Blechhhhhhh.

So all the travel time to the airport, in the airport, from the airport totaled about 6 hours. Flying time... 45 mins ! LOL craziness.

Onto the subject... I believe it was Sheriff Toombs who was just quoted in the news that there was so much CP that it was going to take awhile before it's all sorted out. The computer was not "secure" and there were many people on it. So, they have to link the CP to Shawn alone or they may have more than just Shawn to arrest. I really hope they are telling us the straight story.

I despise that Billie and Shawn sit there, enjoying each other while Hailey is God knows where.

I would think that they have had plenty of time to sort through all the CP. I wonder if this is a priority for them.

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — A former West Texas police officer is set for a preliminary hearing on charges of possession of child pornography.

Richard Lee Lewis will be in federal court Wednesday in Lubbock.

He’s been free on his own recognizance since turning himself in to federal authorities May 23. His attorney has said Lewis is cooperating with authorities.

Court records show the 50-year-old former Slaton police officer must wear a monitoring device as part of the conditions of his release.

Court documents show Lewis resigned from the Slaton police force after federal authorities seized and searched three computers, 80 CDs and 10 VHS tapes from Lewis’ home on May 11.

According to his arrest warrant affidavit, Lewis told federal investigators that he usually deleted the sexually explicit material after looking at it.

I remember when I was a kid and anything at all of interest in my home I was right on it. My mother and grandma used to spell out the words so I would not know what they were saying. I used to sit with a pad and pencil and write down the letters they spelled.

Then I ran over to the neighbor and asked her what the words were. She was always eager to help me. :thanks:

Been watching the Casey Anthony trial. I keep thinking once they find Hailey (or her body), Billie will face some charges. I keep picturing Billie where Casey is sitting and Mr. Young where Mr. Baez is sitting. Equally disturbing mothers, imo.

I do have a little hope that Hailey is alive somewhere, since she was older and stronger than little Caylee. But, still have a hard time rationalizing the lies and behavior of Billie Jean and Shawn Adkins unless Hailey is dead. Maybe Hailey was sold - could be. But, I think she was probably too mature and willful to be the type of victim that would be in high demand. I don't get the sense Hailey would be compliant and easily controlled, as a trafficker would desire. JMO...

You are right sdillard and Charm. Hailey sure could have been drugged and then passed off to traffickers who got her addicted and sold her out.

If she was sold, I would think Billie and Shawn would have gotten a windfall of money (probably converted into drugs). They would not only have to keep their big vile mouths closed to LE, but also their families. I could see some relatives on both sides doing nothing, but standing with their hands out (not all, but some). I'd hope LE could find proof of financial gain when Hailey disappeared, but maybe not. Wish we knew more about what has been investigated.

I checked the Hope for Hailey site. No announcements about a 6 month vigil at the end of the month.

Hailey's plight always makes me smad (sad + mad). Her unfortunate luck when it comes to parents and their significant others really snuffed out her light, no matter where she is now. Totally unfair.

Ughh. Sorry for being such a downer. I hope Hailey is alive, but not sure how long trafficked teens typically survive. If she was killed, I know she's at peace, but can't stand the thought that those responsible are free. Karma, right? Whatever they did to poor Hailey, karma is waiting around the corner (and hopefully legal justice too).

Hi all, Just checking in to see if there has been any movement on this case at all. Very upsetting that Billie and Shawn are just allowed to be out free with Hailey gone. I hope they end up in jail at some point.

Billie Dunn, the mother of missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn, has taken a lot of heat over the disappearance of her daughter.

Now there's a Facebook page supporting her.

The new page called, Billie Dunn Innocent, recently popped up.

It aims to support Billie and keep attention on the search for Hailey.

It's unclear if Billie herself is behind the page or if it was created by a third party.

Hailey Dunn was last seen back on December 27th in Colorado City.

So far, no one has been charged in her disappearance.
