I can't believe Alyce went to the ER again just because people were attacking her online. She's trying to manipulate people into feeling sorry for her. Maybe now she'll realize how damaging lying can be.

I was thinking Alyce probably has to appear again on Tuesday because she spoke to Travis's sister Samantha and she's not allowed to do that. But this commenter has a different opinion...

First commenter:
No, she's not going to be back on the stand. She was ordered by the judge to return to the court for an issue involving her. I believe this could be related to perjury.

She lied and said she represented men, then couldn't come up with their names, and then said it was only one man, and she wrote a deposition. She couldn't remember his name, and said she would need to refer back to her CV.

I think the Prosecutor is holding her feet to the fire, and the judge is giving her an opportunity to prove his existence, and her involvement, by coming up with some evidence she did do work for this person.

Don't forget, this was in response to a juror's question, asking if she ever helped a male victim. If she lied on the stand, it is a serious offense. It undermines the trial.

Perjury?Impeachment perhaps? We will have to wait and see I guess. Also, there is still an issue wit Ms LaViolette having allegedly approached and made comments to Travis' sister while there was a break in Court. This is illegal and all victims are protected by the Victims Rights Law, at least in my State. I don't know about Arizona. There is still a mistrial motion which has not been decided, presented by the Defense. Sounds as if all of these issues are part of Mondays morning calendar for the Court.

I think she may actually have gone twice to the ER, Wrap. They mentioned it last week on HLN, and now they have it in huffpo today. So I'm thinking this is her second visit. I hope the ER made her wait a long time, there are people in pain who actually need the ER - and are not there just because they're upset that someone called them names online.

Only Idiots think Jodi Arias is Innocent

"I don't want your apology I want you to understand what I think of you. I want you to understand how evil I think you are. You are the worst thing that ever happened to me. I sent you a response to your dire conversation that I hope you read because you need to read it. If Jodi had written this to Travis, LaFraudulent would have said Jodi was only responding to the hurt he had caused her and that Travis was a bad man. She would have used it to show the killer was the victim.

LaFraudulent takes the words of an obviously hurt individual and somehow tries to make him an abuser from it. She can't see that HE was the one who was deeply hurt. She actually made excuses for 9 days as to why Jodi responded to her hurt by stabbing Travis 29 times, shooting him in the head and nearly decapitating him. In Alyceville, this was just the product of being hurt and "abused".

Why isn't anger in the form of words the product of being hurt and abused as well LaViolate?

It is one thing to testify for the defense; I don't have a problem with that. The problem I have is that she has absolutely TRASHED the real victim in this case, Travis Alexander. She never met Mr. Alexander or talked with his family or friends. She took the word of an admitted liar and cherry-picked e-mail texts and messages out of context and labeled him a perpetrator! She explained away any of Ms. Arias' behavior as "to be expected" because she is a "victim" yet any of Travis' words are considered to be "evidence" to her that he was an abuser. She repeatedly referred to Mr. Alexander as a "liar" because he told family and friends he was a virgin even though he was sexually active, yet said that Ms. Arias was NOT a liar, even though she has lied repeatedly for nearly five years, and gave two different stories about what had happened to the victim before coming up with her "domestic abuse/self-defense" story once her defense attorneys got involved.

How does Ms. LaViolette sleep at night? Watching the Alexander family suffer in court due to Ms. LaViolette's completely unwarranted character assassination of the ONLY victim in this crime is heart-wrenching, and it keeps ME up at night. I wonder if Ms. LaViolette has any more of a conscience than Ms. Arias.

Ms. LaViolette's testimony will make it much harder in the future for REAL victims of domestic violence to ever be believed in court. She has betrayed the very people she claimed to care about and devote her life to.

How do you align yourselves with a woman who has turned her back on true victims of domestic violence and murdered the victim once again in court? Is this what your organization stands for?

Professional victim Alyce LaViolette has spent the last two days tripping balls in Wonderland, trying to field questions from skeptical (and sober) jurors in the Jodi Arias trial. And judging by the tone of the queries, the eleventh hour “domestic abuse excuse” pitched by Stabby and her band of merry enablers is flying like a lead balloon in the courtroom. But domestic violence expert Alyce will still not budge from her seat at The Mad Hatter Kool Aid Party. She chugged it down in five gallon buckets, and is still trying to serve it to the jury.
Here are just some of the questions that MIGHT restore your faith in common sense after the whole Pinellas debacle, along with Alyce’s ridiculous answers.
Question: ”Why would you believe a pathological liar?”
Answer: “Because of the collaborative data.”
Since we can rule out consulting anyone or anything other than Arias and some cherry-picked texts, collaborative data can only be defense speak for “other lies told by Jodi.”
Question: “Could Jodi have exaggerated to help her case?”
Answer: “I found she was a person who didn’t exaggerate. She tended to minimize.”
To summarize: Using Cammy-D’s spiderman boyshorts as evidence of a pedophilia fetish is NOT exaggerating. And leaving work to drive 1000 miles to confront your ex about their new lovelife is MINIMIZING, everyone. Good. To. Know.
It was about this time the March Hare was spotted hopping through the courtroom with a teacup.
Question: “Why have you looked at Jodi multiple times during cross exam to meet eyes and smile?”
Answer: “I’ve been trying not to look at her. I have friends sitting near her. “

Question: “If you were brought in to determine domestic abuse, why didn’t you look more into Travis’ text that he was extremely fearful of Jodi?”
Answer: “I didn’t see anything else that made me think it’s true.”
Really? Not even his autopsy report, accompanied by her confession to 29 stab wounds, a gunshot to the head, and a slit throat? Stop eating the mushrooms, Alyce. I’m embarrased FOR you.
Question: “Is it possible your view of men in general is bias?”
Answer: “I don’t think so. Some of my best friends are men.”
Tell that to the seven dwarves; they’re holding quite a grudge since you accused them of beating Snow White. They still cringe whenever plumes of smoke from one of your bra-bonfires permeate their woods. Especially Bashful.
Question: “Is it conceivable a woman would kill her partner just to get away from abuse?”
Answer: “Conceivable, yes, but rare.”
Now brace youself for the followup question and answer, and try to keep your brain from collapsing in on itself with the sudden shift in gears. Wait for it…. Wait for it….
Question: “Jodi’s response to perceived danger on June 4, 2008 went way beyond neutralizing Travis. Is that normal?”
Answer: “Abused women often dont know when to stop with violence.”
Hdhdifosksbcurldlqmsbfkgltmsjh. Excuse me, my head hit the keyboard again. Just as a white rabbit dipped his pocket watch in the Kool Aid.
Question: “Jodi kicked, slapped, and berated her mother as a teenager. Doesnt that make her an abuser?”
Answer: “No, she was just a rebellious teenager.”
Got it. Girls are rebellious and feisty and allowed to suckerpunch their parents. Boys are actually young abusers. Such are the mad gender rules at this most curious of Kool Aid parties.
And finally, my personal favorite:
Question: “How do you know Jodi hasn’t manipulated you like everyone else?”
Answer: “I don’t feel I’ve been manipulated.”

Jodi Arias Trial: Is Alyce LaViolette’s Behavior Unprofessional?

On the seventh day of Ms. LaViolette’s testimony, a senior producer for Jane Velez- Mitchell’s HLN news program noticed something interesting occurring in the courtroom. Before court started, on a day in which Ms. LaViolette was scheduled to be cross-examined by prosecutor Martinez, she was being “prepped” by her supporters. The producer noticed that Ms. LaViolette had an “entire row” of supporters. Two of the female and one of the male supporters, were rubbing her shoulders and giving her pep talks, assuring her that she can “do this.” During testimony, the producer noticed that one female in particular, was pleased when Ms. LaViolette didn’t allow prosecutor Martinez to “back her into a corner.” She would nod her head and smile each time Ms. LaViolette “beat” Prosecutor Martinez.

During her testimony, Ms. LaViolette inadvertently confirmed the fact that she had supporters in the courtroom. In response to a juror question about why Ms. LaViolette would continuously look and smile at Jodi and her defense team during cross-examination, Ms. LaViolette responded that she may not have been looking at Jodi or her defense team. Rather, Ms. LaViolette stated that she might have been looking and smiling at her elementary school friends who were sitting in the front row behind Jodi and her defense team. Why would Ms. LaViolette’s elementary school friends, come to a murder trial to watch Ms. LaViolette’s testimony?

The question could easily be answered if her elementary school reunion had been planned for the lunch break at the courthouse cafeteria. Anything short of that, would seem not only unprofessional but also childish. Why does an adult, professional, with 30+ years of experience need or desire the presence of friends and family in the courtroom while she testifies?

In response to another juror question about her limited involvement with males, Ms. LaViolette also stated that her father was in the court room.

Alyce LaViolette was hired by the defense team as a professional expert witness. Why would a professional expert witness need a support team to prep her before testimony? Her role in this case is to tell the truth about her opinion and her observations about Jodi, and Jodi’s relationship with Travis. It borders on bizarre that she would feel the need to bring a team of old friends and supporters into the courtroom or even allow them to attend.

She is supposed to be there to state her professional opinion and to answer all questions with candor and honesty.

Why would her father feel the need to come and watch his daughter testify? Was he there to see her first at-bat in the major league? If so, it would mean that until this trial Ms. LaViolette was a minor-league player.

Was he there to protect her from the mean, abusive, male prosecutor? We know that prosecutor Martinez, is intense. Some commentators see this as aggressiveness. This writer does not. I see him as intensely sincere in his approach to his job. It is his job to reveal the truth and more so than the police officers and more so than the judge, it is his job to enforce justice. If he does a poor job or simply goes to work and does “just enough” until he collects that government pension, justice is not being done.

Think about it. What would you have thought about the professionalism of Dr. Richard Samuels if he came to court each day with a team of friends and old elementary school buddies? What if during breaks or before his testimony we saw him getting shoulder massages and pep talks from these supporters?

For a liar or anyone who is trying to be deceptive in some way, a day with Martinez is not going to be any fun. That’s not because prosecutor Martinez is mean, unfair or abusive. It’s because he makes it very hard for a liar to lie or a deceiver to deceive.

It is my deepest belief that no one who sits on that witness stand, who has taken that seat with the intention of answering each question with honesty and candor and who will not attempt to deceive or mislead, needs a support team or neck massages.

I just wanted to share the information I found on jury duty in Arizona. I believe that this case would quality as a "Lengthy Trial". If so, then the jury members could be compensated up to $300 dollars a day if they meet the following conditions:
Arizona Lengthy Trial Fund
Effective November 5, 2012
You may be eligible for additional monies for your jury service if you have to be in court for jury service for more than five court business days, AND one of the following describes you:

a. You are retired or not employed – You can receive $40 plus your mileage reimbursement for each day of your service beginning the first day until the end of the trial. This is retroactive only once you complete the sixth day of jury service.

OR
b. You are employed and can show the Court that you are losing income, and how much that loss is – You can receive your daily loss up to $300, plus your mileage reimbursement, for each day of your service beginning the first day until the end of the trial once you have complete the sixth day of service. If income or loss of income changes you must notify the jury office immediately. Any over payments due to unreported income or miscalculations will be pursued for repayment.

If you match one of those choices above, and wish to receive the additional monies, please ask your bailiff for the Arizona Lengthy Trial Fund Claim Form.

Jurors not eligible to receive monies from the Arizona Lengthy Trial Fund will still receive $12 plus mileage reimbursement for each day of their service.
