A rattled Casey Anthony tried to hide her face today as she waded through a mob of photographers and reporters when she arrived at federal court in Tampa for a meeting in her bankruptcy case, her first public appearance since she was acquitted of killing her daughter Caylee in 2011.

Anthony clung to the man who exited the car with her as someone shouted repeatedly, "Did you get away with murder?"

She clutched a black floppy hat and a pair of sunglasses near her face and looked shaken up as she was surrounded. Her brown hair was loose, just below her shoulders and she wore a long black sweater, black pants and a printed blouse.

Today marks Anthony's first public appearance after more than two years in hiding.

Anthony, 26, has been unemployed for the past four years and filed for bankruptcy in January. She's almost $800,000 in debt and has less than $1,100 worth of assets, according to her bankruptcy filing.

She is scheduled to appear in federal court in Tampa, Fla., this afternoon. Anthony has not made any public appearances since her 2011 acquittal in the alleged murder of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.

The few glimpses of Anthony since her July 2011 release from jail have been a few leaked video diaries and some photos of her in Florida.

Anthony was convicted on four counts of providing false information to law enforcement, stemming from her initial statements to detectives. Two of the lying convictions were overturned in January, the same day she filed for bankruptcy.

The bankruptcy filing includes 15 pages of people who have made claims, including legal consultants, media consultants, authorities, the IRS and Anthony's parents. The most sizeable claim is from Anthony's former defense attorney Jose Baez who says she owes him $500,000.

The filing details Anthony's personal property, which includes some 10-year-old furniture at her family home, a laptop, some clothing, a pearl necklace, family photos, books, a sapphire and opal ring, two digital cameras and a bike. The total value of the items is just over $1,000.

Anthony's attorney Charles Greene did not immediately respond to request for comment today, but told ABCNews.com in January that it will be a while before Anthony can take any kind of job, saying that life will "never be normal" for the woman who still breaks down in tears at times.

"You don't go from the most hated woman in the world, according to some media outlets, to being a normal person or being able to live a normal life," Greene said. "I'm not saying she's not a normal person, but people do not perceive her as a normal person."

Greene said that Anthony still receives threats and lives in hiding, despite the fact that both her prison time and probation have been served.Hiding? LOL

She is the target of a number of civil lawsuits, which also prevents her from moving, Greene said.

He will not comment on Anthony's whereabouts, but her last known location was in Florida and it is likely she is still in the area, due to her ongoing legal matters. Suspect

"We think that once the lawsuits are over she'll be able to go where we think she is going to ultimately end up and then start about the process of getting a job," he said. "She's going to be 27 in March. She's still a young person and she's basically in a virtual prison based on her inability to move. So she would like to get a job, I can assure you, but she can't work at McDonald's. People would be looking at her instead of at the menu."

Greene is adamant that Anthony has a story to tell, but that telling it right now is "not even under consideration except to say no."

"There will be no tell-all book, there is no tell-all movie," he said. "Her ability to progress and to grow up and to even be at her normal age was thwarted by what's happened to her in the last few years and what we believe happened to her in her earlier life, but that's her story to tell one day."

TAMPA, Fla. — For the first time in nearly two years, Casey Anthony came out of hiding Monday to face her creditors in federal court.
Anthony filed for bankruptcy in January.
It's the first time Anthony has been forced out in public since being acquitted of killing her daughter, Caylee Anthony,
Her attorney, Cheney Mason, wrestled away cameras as she walked inside to the mandatory hearing in Tampa for her bankruptcy case.
Once in the lobby, she appeared disheveled, even missing one of her shoes.
Anthony quickly regained her composure and headed past security.
Anthony claims she owes nearly $800,000, but only has about $1,000 to her name.
The hearing is being held in a special room in the courthouse that has been set aside.
Cameras were not allowed inside the room.
"A normal creditors hearing lasts about 10 minutes. The bankruptcy trustee hears about 50 a day," said WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer.
Sheaffer also said, "This is unusual, because we've learned that the entire afternoon has been set aside for Casey."
The questions will not be about her daughter’s death, instead, it will be about the depth of Anthony's pockets.
"Don't expect that we're going to hear anything about the murder charges against Casey. This is strictly limited to her finances and the creditors and what they are entitled to," said Sheaffer.

But the hearing could be contentious because Anthony is trying to avoid paying any settlement that might come from civil suits that she’s facing from people who were wrapped up in the web of lies that played out during the search for Caylee.
"One of the significant aspects of this bankruptcy creditors hearing is this is the first time we're going to hear from Casey Anthony. She will be put under oath, she will be required to answer questions," Sheaffer said.
The hearing is expected to last most of the afternoon.

Casey Anthony leaves bankruptcy court in Tampa
Monday, March 4, 2013.

TAMPA --
The Casey Anthony storm has come and go at the federal courthouse in Tampa as she met with the creditors in her bankruptcy case.

Casey hid her face from a flurry of photographers as her attorney, Cheney Mason, walked her under his arm throughthe crowd to the front door of the courthouse around 10:30 a.m. Monday, three hours ahead of her 1:30 p.m. hearing. She left just before 2:30 p.m.

Casey pulled up at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the back of a black SUV. She was wearing a large-brimmed hat in an attempt to cover her face. Only Mason and an unidentified driver was in the vehicle with her.

The driver was not allowed to use the courthouse's garages to drive under the building. Casey was made to walk in the front door, just like everyone else.

Cheney Mason had his arm around Casey, shielding her face from the cameras. Casey wearing a black jacket. Her hair is dark, about shoulder-length.

Mason is not representing Casey Anthony in her bankruptcy hearing. It appears he accompanied Casey to court to show his support and protect her from the media. (Where were her bodyguards??)
It is unclear what was decided in the bankruptcy case.
Casey filed for bankruptcy in Florida in late January, claiming about $1,000 in assets and $792,000 in liabilities. Court papers list Anthony as unemployed, with no recent income.

Casey has not made any public appearances since she left jail after being acquitted in 2011 of murdering her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.
The bankruptcy filing came on the same day that a Florida appellate court set aside two of the four convictions she faced for lying to detectives during the investigation into her missing daughter.

On the list of people she may owe money to include her former attorney Jose Baez. She could owe him up to $500,000.

Also on the list is Zenaida Gonzalez, the woman suing Anthony for defamation and Roy Kronk, the meter reader who found Caylee's body in the woods.

She had money for finger nail polish or a mani. Shouldn't she have been a little more frugal so she wouldn't have to file bankruptcy? Bet she bought a new outfit for the Big Day, too. Gotta look good for her public.

Yes, what a class act Cheney Mason is. NOT! He wants to be seen as a southern gentleman, but when he opens his mouth that all goes out the window. He still gives me the creeps. The kind of old creepy man that will "accidently" brush your boob or your butt in a crowded elevator. Yuck.

Casey Anthony Trial - The Aftermath - Page 10 Empty Casey Anthony Says She Lives 'Off the Kindness of Others'

Post by Nama Mon Mar 04, 2013 6:50 pm

Casey Anthony was forced to come out of seclusion and publicly answer questions for the first time today when she appeared in Florida bankruptcy court.

"I don't pay rent. I don't pay utilities," Anthony said, according to the Associated Press. "I guess you could say I'm living free off the kindness of others."

Anthony, 26, has gone into hiding since 2011 when she was acquitted of murdering her toddler Caylee. She was the victim of a barrage of threats and was dubbed the most hated woman in America. Aside from a few stray photos, Anthony has succeeded in staying out of sight.

Anthony has been unemployed for the past four years and filed for bankruptcy in January. She's almost $800,000 in debt and has less than $1,100 worth of assets, according to her bankruptcy filing.

She said at the meeting that she lives with friends. When a federal bankruptcy trustee asked her if she bought her own food, she said, "I try to contribute when I can."

Anthony also repeated what her lawyers have said since she was acquitted that she has not received any offers for book, movie or television deals.

Anthony spoke calmly in court, the AP reported, and said she has been living off of money given to her by former attorney Jose Baez as well as unsolicited cash and gift cards.

Baez denied that he personally supported Anthony.

"All monies testified to at today's hearing were obtained during the course of legal representation," Baez told ABC News. "The media reports or interpretation that I personally provided financial support to Ms. Anthony are false."

It was the first time Anthony has been forced to answer questions in public. She never took the stand to testify in her own defense during her murder trial. And efforts to get her on the stand in a lawsuit by a woman named Zenaida Gonzales have been delayed be the bankruptcy hearing.

Anthony insisted for months that her daughter Caylee had been stolen by a fictitious nanny named Zenaida Gonzales. The real Zenaida Gonzales has sued claiming she lost her job and her home because of Anthony's lies.

A rattled Casey Anthony tried to hide her face today as she waded through a mob of photographers and reporters when she arrived at federal court in Tampa for a meeting in her bankruptcy case, her first public appearance since she was acquitted of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee in 2011.

Casey Anthony Trial - The Aftermath - Page 10 Empty Re: Casey Anthony Trial - The Aftermath

Post by Nama Mon Mar 04, 2013 6:53 pm

A TV reporter who’s been after Casey Anthony for years badgered her mercilessly as she emerged from seclusion to attend a bankruptcy creditors meeting in Tampa.

Orlando WFTV reporter Kathi Belich, who made a name for herself shouting “Casey, did you kill Caylee?” in 2008, picked up where she left off Monday. Belich was one of several members of the media who chased Anthony into the courthouse while her attorney acted like a tackle escorting a running back.

Here’s a description of events shown in the video above by the Orlando Sentinel.

“Casey, did you get away with murder?” Belich shouted. “Did you get away with murder? Do you think you’d be better off if you pay a price?”

Anthony attorney Cheney Mason could be heard angrily saying, “Get out of the way.” Anthony wasn’t talking.

After the intense entrance, Anthony spoke at the hearing, saying she was unemployed, didn’t pay rent or utilities and is “living off the kindness of others.” She said she didn’t have any offers for book or movie deals. In her bankruptcy filing, she listed $1,000 in assets and $792,000 in debts.

After a nationally watched trial, Anthony was acquitted in July 2011 of killing her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, although she was convicted of providing false information to police. This was her first public appearance since then.

Casey Anthony Trial - The Aftermath - Page 10 Empty Re: Casey Anthony Trial - The Aftermath

Post by Wrapitup Mon Mar 04, 2013 9:03 pm

Tampa, Florida -- Under orders to show her face at a bankruptcy hearing, Casey Anthony quickly made her way into a Tampa courtroom before 11 a.m. Monday.

She was led inside by her attorney Cheney Mason, who wrapped his arm around her. Anthony's long hair mostly obscured her face as they hustled inside. Neither Anthony nor Mason answered questions.

The brief glimpse of Anthony, who has been in hiding since she was acquitted of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony, may be all the public will see of her, outside of courtroom sketches.

That's because Monday's hearing in Tampa is in the federal courthouse, and cameras of any kind are not yet allowed in federal court.

That's why in some court cases, you'll see drawings by sketch artists on TV instead of video or still photos.

Anthony's new lawyer says there's been a $50,000 bounty on her head ever since July 2011, when she was found not guilty of killing her daughter Caylee. That's why she's been in hiding.

Safety concerns are also why the judge has allowed the hearing at 1:30 p.m. Monday to stay in Tampa instead of moving it to her hometown of Orlando.

At the hearing, Anthony tried to declare bankruptcy. She says she has just a thousand dollars in assets and almost a million dollars in debts, with more than half of that from legal fees and court costs.

Speaking calmly in court, Anthony says she's living off money given to her by her former attorney and through unsolicited gift cards and money. She says she is unemployed and has not received any money to tell her story.

Zenaida Gonzalez and former meter reader Roy Kronk both plan to sue Anthony. They're fighting the bankruptcy, because if Anthony is successful in going bankrupt, they're worried they'll lose their ability to sue her.

No decision was immediately made following Monday's hearing.

Casey Anthony emerges from seclusion for bankruptcy hearing

By Saundra Amrhein
TAMPA, Florida | Mon Mar 4, 2013 5:47pm EST

(Reuters) - Casey Anthony, the Florida mother acquitted in the 2008 killing of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, on Monday made her first public appearance since being released from jail 18 months ago, telling a bankruptcy hearing she is unemployed and lives off "unsolicited donations."

Flanked by a half dozen attorneys, Anthony, 26, wore a white blouse and a black miniskirt as she detailed her financial troubles in a federal court in Tampa, Florida. Anthony testified that she has not accepted any book, TV or movie deals and said she does not own a house or a car.

"I don't pay rent, I don't pay utilities. I guess you could say I'm living free or off the kindness" of others, she said.

Anthony filed for bankruptcy in January, claiming she has just over a $1,000 in assets and nearly $800,000 in debt, according to a bankruptcy filing.

"When I need to go somewhere, I take the bus," she said, adding her friends also buy her food. "I try to contribute when I can." I highly doubt she takes the bus. The transit in Cape Canaveral is very good but she would most definitely be recognized. Plus, I just don't see her 'taking the bus.'

According to her bankruptcy petition, Anthony owes one of her lawyers nearly $500,000, along with $220,000 in court-ordered trial costs, investigative expenses and criminal fines plus $69,000 to the Internal Revenue Service.

To pay some of her legal expenses, Anthony said she gave several photos of herself to her defense attorney who sold them to the ABC television network in 2008 for $200,000.

She said she was also asked to pose for another set of photos but did not know how much they sold for or when.

Scott Shuker, an attorney for one of Anthony's creditors, questioned her description of her financial situation.

"From my smell test, it doesn't smell right," he said outside the courthouse. "She certainly has a lot of kindness from strangers."

Anthony told detectives in July 2008 that Caylee was kidnapped by a nanny, triggering a nationwide search for the girl that was followed intensely by cable television news and entertainment shows.

During her trial, her defense lawyers claimed Caylee drowned in the family's backyard pool.

Prosecutors presented evidence that Caylee might have been smothered by duct tape wrapped around her heard before her body was left in the woods.

Although Anthony was acquitted of all major charges at her closely watched trial, Anthony was convicted on four counts of lying to detectives investigating the toddler's disappearance.

Two of the convictions were overturned in January.

Anthony did not respond to reporters' questions as she walked briskly from the courthouse to her attorney's waiting Mercedes, which sped off.

Yes, I agree she sure does appear to be living the good life "off the kindness of others". Why would anyone want to be TLMS's friend? Why would friends buy her food? I think that would get real old, real fast. WTF would want to support her? Are there that many idiots in Florida? I just don't get it.

Maybe Baez pays her rent and writes it off as a business expense? Why, though? Why can't this nasty bitch go out and get a J O B? YES she would be recognized, but since she seems to be so popular and everyone's darling down there you would think the public flocking to see her at McDonalds or what ever job she is qualified for, would be good for business. LOL.

Casey Anthony Trial - The Aftermath - Page 10 Empty Casey Anthony Supporters Send Her Cash, Gift Cards

Post by Wrapitup Tue Mar 05, 2013 6:13 pm

By CHRISTINA NG (@ChristinaNg27)
March 5, 2013

In her first public appearance since her murder acquittal in 2011, the unemployed Casey Anthony said that she lives "free off of the kindness of others," along with donations of cash and gift cards from strangers.

Even though she's been called the most hated woman in America, Anthony has a fervent group of supporters who use assumed names and brush off death threats in order to stand by her side.

"I think Casey made some mistakes and I think the picture that we see is a caricature of who she really is," a supporter who goes by Melissa told ABCNews.com. "I don't think we see the whole Casey in what has been presented. There's a hard road ahead of her, but she has a lot of support."

Melissa asked that her real name not be used in order to protect herself and her family. She said she is a college-educated, married mom in her 40s who lives on the West Coast.

Melissa said that she has never personally given money to support Anthony, but has seen comments on the website she helps run, CaseyAnthonyIsInnocent.com, from others who "have sent support to the attorneys."

"From what I gather, she has a strong support system after the trial," she said. "I think the lawyers are personally invested in Casey and want to see her succeed, and therefore there is a support system of people that do help her."

While Anthony was in jail, she received checks in the mail from sympathetic supporters so that she could spend money on snacks and cosmetics.

When asked if Anthony or her team have been in touch with the website, Melissa said, "Yes, we have been thanked...I can't really speak to whether we've talked to her personally."

Melissa said her initial belief was that Anthony was guilty, but after watching the trial, she came to a different conclusion.

"I didn't buy the evidence...I came to the conclusion that the verdict was correct," she said. "I think that the jury got it right."

Melissa thought Anthony was "vilified" in the public and found other Anthony supporters online. They began to communicate on Facebook and Skype. Eventually, the website CaseyAnthonyIsInnocent.com was created. It is one of several websites and many Facebook pages on which people sympathize with, and even admire, Anthony.

"It was to give people a safe place to go and support Casey," Melissa said. "Some of the comments are from the men who may think she's cute, but it goes beyond that."

Melissa said the website frequently receives death threats, some so serious that organizers have reported them to police.

"We can't control some of the comments where it may seem that someone has a crush on Casey, but we are not a fan site," she said. "We are a support site with the goal of counteracting the court of public opinion and supporting her through the justice system and thereafter."

Anthony, 26, went into hiding in 2011 after she was acquitted of murdering her toddler, Caylee. She received a barrage of threats. Aside from a few stray photos, Anthony has succeeded in staying out of sight.

Anthony has been unemployed for the past four years and filed for bankruptcy in January. She's almost $800,000 in debt and has less than $1,100 worth of assets, according to her bankruptcy filing.

"I don't pay rent. I don't pay utilities," Anthony said in bankruptcy court in Tampa, Fla., on Monday, according to The Associated Press. "I guess you could say I'm living free off the kindness of others."

She said at the meeting that she lives with friends. When a federal bankruptcy trustee asked her if she bought her own food, she said, "I try to contribute when I can."

Anthony's lawyers have said since she was acquitted that she has not received any offers for book, movie or television deals. She repeated that at the bankruptcy hearing.

Melissa used to be afraid to support Anthony publicly, but said she has become more vocal about her sympathy. She said her husband and parents are aware of her "hobby" and support her. She spends several hours a day working on the Anthony website and has also been kept busy by a second website she is helping with, JodiAriasIsInnocent.com.

"My reason for helping with it is because I do think women in high-profile trials are misportrayed [sic] in the media, and it drives me crazy to see them calling someone a sociopath by the way their eyes look and diagnosing people they haven't ever met," she said. "I have a lot of passion in what I do."

Casey could work at home.....maybe child care for friends of her attorneys that have children or children of her those that support her innocence. Do Lee and Mallory have a baby....she could be a nanny. So many possibilities; me thinks she and her supporters just need to brainstorm!

The "molestation" business ... me thinks was a "set up" .. just to save her life .. (getting her off was a bonus to them)...

Baez more likely met with them before the trial .. and told them .. "do you want to save your daughter's life ... -- we HAVE to play it this way"...

And the rest is / was a history, as they say :)

Casey Anthony's bankruptcy case featured on Central Florida Spotlight

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The case against Casey Anthony has turned from a murder case to a civil case and now to a bankruptcy case.

This week, Anthony was in a Tampa federal courtroom for a meeting with creditors. Her computer has become a central part of her bankruptcy issue.

Anthony has been seen in video clips from her computer. Her creditors want to know, if she bought that computer or if it was given to her.

"I asked her if she owned a computer and there's a reason I wanted to start with that because she didn't list a computer and I didn't think she would be thinking about that, and her answer was, 'Yes,'" said attorney Scott Shuker.

Zenaida Gonzalez is involved in a civil suit with Anthony. Shuker believes that whatever is on that computer is valuable to sell off. He said it would provide curious Anthony observers with a look at her life since her acquittal. Shuker said he thinks that would mean a lot of money for Anthony, perhaps even millions of dollars.

"We want to see what's there; her story, her emails. What can be sold that may be distasteful?" said Shuker.

Anthony's attorney said the computer came from her legal team and that it belongs to the team.

As for a story to sell, and maybe use to pay off creditors, that hasn't happened.

"No agreements there. No winks and nods that we are going to do this after this is done," said Anthony attorney Charles Greene.

Greg Warmoth talks with attorneys from both sides and with a bankruptcy expert who explains why he thinks Anthony will have a victory in court. Those conversations are in this week's Central Florida Spotlight at 12:30 p.m. on WFTV Channel 9.

Casey Anthony Lying Through Her Teeth Again?

March 08, 2013 01:55 PM EST

Casey Anthony has been forced to crawl out from under her rock this week in order to publicly plead abject poverty and thereby once again escape justice.

She's always been a bit challenged by the truth anyway, and a shameless pathological liar at the very least, so watching her tell a Florida judge a tall tale about "living off the kindness of strangers" because she's penniless now is, well, the typical Casey everyone has come to know and loves to hate.

The world's most despised woman has, of course, impeccable timing — Anthony's declaration that she's broke comes just at the moment she's being dragged into the courts by the various people she liberally slandered during her infamous bid to avoid a murder sentence for the slaying of her young daughter.

A compulsive liar, a selfish sociopath, and now a bum…is there anybody really surprised by this deviant's frank admission that she's now bankrupt in every possible way?

And who really cares if she's suffering?

Imaginary friends

Seriously, what person with any kind of conscience would give this woman financial aid who didn't have some ulterior motive in doing so?

Nobody, that's right.

However, Anthony woefully informed the judge that she hasn't received any lucrative film offers from Hollywood, and no book contracts from any major publishing houses, either. Not even a measly made-for-TV movie deal is in the works!

Her story is her biggest asset, naturally. But, again, claiming no one's interested in buying it from her doesn't even remotely sound credible. Especially when considering the fact that the entertainment industry has never met a killer they didn't like.

Moreover, Casey Anthony's the ideal one for them to be secretly romancing right now, not only because of the strong possibility she got away with murder, but because, as a career criminal, she has so many dimensions to exploit.

Just desserts

In a perfect world, coldblooded creatures like Anthony would never get away with their crimes, and, if somehow they still managed to, they'd be forced to hide in a dark hole someplace until they finally starved.

Judging from Anthony's recent court appearance she seems to be in pretty good health, though. A fact glaringly obvious despite her donning a set of austere-looking clothes, a bonnet as big as a flying saucer, and a pair of oversized sunglasses.

There also wasn't exactly a crowd of angry creditors nipping at her heels, either — only one actually bothered to show up on the opening day of bankruptcy proceedings.

In all fairness then, if it's true Anthony doesn't have enough cash on hand to pay for "rent and utilities" and it's not just another ruse to cheat people she owes and those she wantonly maligned who are seeking legal redress, the judge should demand that she disclose where and who she's getting funding from.

Dire straits is as dire straits does, after all, and if indeed Anthony has been reduced to living the life of a mere pauper, plus she doesn't have even so much as a part-time job, then the math simply isn't adding up here.

Or could it be Casey's just lying through her teeth once more?

Casey Anthony Trial - The Aftermath - Page 10 Empty Casey Anthony: How much is her story worth?

Post by Wrapitup Sat Mar 09, 2013 10:39 pm

posted by halboedeker on March, 9 2013 1:49 PM

“I was stunned that a couple of pictures were worth $200,000. So I would hope this story is worth seven figures,” Scott Shuker, attorney for Zenaida Gonzalez, told Greg Warmoth on WFTV-Channel 9’s “Central Florida Spotlight.” (The $200,000 that ABC News paid to license photos went to fund Anthony’s defense.)

Anthony’s bankruptcy hearing on Monday was the main topic Saturday on “Central Florida Spotlight.” The program’s great value was that it allowed attorneys to talk at length about the case and the issues in a way they can’t on a newscast. Anthony’s creditors want the money that her story could generate, Shuker said.

“People have already offered the trutee money for her story, and I think there’s going to be a dividend. This is not a no-asset case,” Shuker told Warmoth. “I think anybody who claims to have nothing, that has five attorneys, that is that well prepared, there is something more to the story. That’s common sense.”

Shuker explained that in the hearing he focused on Anthony’s computer because there may be assets there. Shuker added that he is “dubious” about Anthony’s statement that no one is negotiating to sell her story.

But Charles Greene, Anthony’s attorney, told Warmoth “that as far I know, as far as we know, Miss Anthony has not signed any deal, nor has anyone signed any deal on her behalf, her attorneys or otherwise, to sell book rights, television rights, marketing rights, rights to an interview, rights to photographs.”

This is a big deal to many who have followed the case because they don’t want Anthony to profit in any way. Greene was adamant on the point: “There’s nothing in the works, there’s no firm offers of any kind that are being considered. There’s nothing.”

Greene explained that he took the case because “somebody associated with the judiciary” persuaded him it was his duty to “support a court system that I thought was being perverted by a lawsuit that was deisgned for purposes other than things the court should be used for.”

In representing Anthony, Greene said he liked her and didn’t judge her by what other people say. “My case is not about what happened to Caylee. It’s not a whodunit,” Greene said. “This is about Zenaida Gonzalez and Roy Kronk claiming they were defamed.”

Greene said his client was “was absolutely innocent” in those cases and “shouldn’t be sued in the first place.”

But we come back to: How much is her story worth?

Casey Anthony Trial - The Aftermath - Page 10 Empty Gonzalez lawyers ask to question Casey Anthony about finances. Casey Anthony must give more info on "friends," Zenaida Gonzalez lawyers say.

Post by Wrapitup Tue Mar 12, 2013 4:07 pm

By Jeff Weiner, Orlando Sentinel
12:40 p.m. EDT, March 12, 2013

Attorneys for a woman suing Casey Anthony for defamation want a judge's permission to question her about who has been supporting her since her acquittal in the death of her daughter.

At a creditors meeting earlier this month in her recently filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy, Anthony testified that, through her attorneys, she had received money and other gifts from well-wishers.

She didn't identify those people.

She also declined to identify who's been supporting her day-to-day needs. Anthony testified that she pays no rent or utilities, and lives "for free," thanks to the kindness of unnamed "friends."

In a new motion, attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez ask for an examination of Anthony, similar to a deposition, in order to find out more about her finances.

Gonzalez and other creditors "have an interest in discovering the full extent of [Anthony's] income and prospects for future income," the new motion states.

It asks a judge to allow Gonzalez's legal team "to examine Casey Marie Anthony at a mutually convenient time and place."

Gonzalez is suing because Anthony said in 2008 that a similarly named nanny had kidnapped her daughter, Caylee.

The girl was later found dead. Authorities said the nanny never existed.Anthony was acquitted of all major charges in her daughter's death at trial in 2011.

Anthony filed for bankruptcy protection last month, listing more than $792,000 in debt and less than $1,100 in assets. Her largest creditor is her criminal defense attorney Jose Baez, whom she owes $500,000.

She also listed more than $200,000 owed to law-enforcement agencies for the cost of their investigations into Caylee's disappearance.

At the creditors meeting in her bankruptcy, Anthony was questioned repeatedly about whether she has any plans or offers on the table to sell her story. She said she has no such offers.

ROFLMAO ROFLMAO ROFLMAO "Attorneys for a woman suing Casey Anthony for defamation want a judge's permission to question her about who has been supporting her since her acquittal in the death of her daughter." I just love it when I read that she may be forced to do something! It will give me great pleasure if she has to name every person who has given her a dime to live on. Personally, I think she's already committed perjury but I want her to keep on doing it. MOO.
