Casey Anthony’s jail pen pal had no success in trying to sell the notorious young mother’s letters in June, WFTV-Channel 9 reported tonight.

Robyn Adams attempted to sell the letters to People magazine, and her attorney hinted they could be worth millions, WFTV’s Kathi Belich reported in the 6 p.m. news. Belich didn’t cite a source, but used the constructions “we’ve heard” and “we’re also told.”

What does the report mean? WFTV analyst Bill Sheaffer said shopping the letters raised questions about Adams’ credibility. Drug trafficker Adams is serving a 10-year sentence in federal prison.

“One could certainly conclude that Robyn Adams was more interested in advancing her financial position than she was advancing the ends of justice,” Sheaffer said.

Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee. Sheaffer saw “clumsy” attempts by Anthony in the letters to defend her mothering.

Belich saw a broader issue in the letters: “Was Adams playing Casey? Was Casey playing Adams?”

Sheaffer summed up the situation by memorably quoting an Aretha Franklin song: “Who’s zooming who?”

In related news, Anthony’s attorneys deposed FBI analysts last week in Washington, WESH-Channel 2 reported this afternoon.

“A source [is] telling WESH2 Casey’s attorneys grilled them about how they gathered or analyzed some key evidence in the case,” WESH anchor Martha Sugalski said. “That includes the duct tape Anthony is accused of using to suffocate her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.”

Grilled them?

Who could that source be? Someone who was doing the so-called grilling?

I refuse to cite Kathi Belich on anything anymore...I think she just makes things up to grab the headlines...I do not trust her reporting!

I have some thoughts about KC and the letters up thread:

What comes through is a separation of two different characters in her personality. One wanted to be "good" and maybe was somewhat of a people pleaser. The other one is the problem.

Way back months ago, Lee visited KC in jail and asked her if it was "like before?" and she said yes. Then, at the memorial, he vowed to keep his promise to her. I had always thought that the question was about the location of Caylee's remains when she was still missing. The letters tell of a miscarriage that only a few friends and Lee knew about. I had speculated that the location of the remains quite possibly could have been a burial grounds for family pets and also for a miscarriage. Thus, the question of, "like before?" would be known to both of them but nobody else would know the secret place they were discussing.

Someone, was it BJ?, also found maps that formed a triangle around the remains, streets and adjacent homeowners of the names: Zaneida, Franciska, Gonzales (spelling?). I believe that Caycee has an alter-ego of a combination of these names and I believe that this Zaneida is none other than the other Caycee. She mentions in the letters that she knows that the real Zaneida is "not showing her face", probably because she knows that her other self is not surfacing.

I can readily believe that Lee, a young boy, mischievously crept into her room at night and did things, but, even what she claims he did was not enough to wake her up to resist, so therefore whatever he did was not traumatic enough to make her change so drastically into what she became. And I can understand Cindy trying to set her daughter straight about being promiscuous and sleeping with 7 guys----she was asking sarcastically if because of what she said Lee did as a child is an excuse for her becoming a whore? I think Cindy was just trying to get her to shape up on that score. I do not believe that George molested her because, in spite of his failings, pedophilia and incest doesn't seem to be one of his sins. He seemed to be a very good grandfather to Caylee and that just wouldn't be true of such a pervert.

If we believe in the Freudian theories that trauma has to happen to split a personality, then there must have been some trauma, but that is not what I see myself as a casual observer. My thoughts are that this girl always had a mental problem of sorts, undetected, in which there were at least two different individuals that could alternately surface. The one individual had a separate identity and that one is none other than Zaneida. This is why she can distance herself so totally and believe her own lies about how her baby went missing and died, because the Caycee individual had nothing to do with it, Zaneida overpowered her and did the evil deeds.

I wouldn't want to see her get off because of mental illness, but I do think that one day her other person will exhibit itself again and maybe at that time these things will be known.

Split personality disorder is a form of schizophrenia? I would have to get out my Psych book and see if it is an entity of it's own. :scratch:

Robyn was surely "playing" Casey on some level, but Casey "playing" Robyn does not fly with me. She is "playing" everyone on some level with her story, but I think her motivation was her neediness and that she was in it for the perceived nurturing, primarily.

I do not hate Casey for any of that human element, or for her clear narcissistic personality disorder, I do despise her for killing Caylee.

I wonder how reliable this information really is when it comes from another murderer? She is just saying what the blogs have been speculating on---does she have internet or TV HLN access?---I wish we could trust this person's word because then we would know what happened to cause the death of that precious little girl.

Again, I am skeptical of any of Belich's reports...I would not count on this as truth.

We all saw Cindy’s obnoxious cow-like cud chewing during her filmed deposition during the Zanaida Gonzalez Zanny the Nanny case.

Now both she and equally bnoxious cow like cud chewing George continue to show their lack of class in my estimation.

Hopefully, Judge Perry will live up to his reputation of being tough and will INSIST that the Ants lose their . I have heard instructions given to the courtroom during prior hearings where the gallery was told to remove their , but the Ants apparently deemed themselves above such orders and continued to chew their cud. Maybe going forward they will be forced to heed the courtroom's rules! Hopefully!!!!

I wish we could believe this inmate and Belich are both credible. The actual story makes perfect sense. However, I cannot imagine Casey trusting anyone w/the truth. Does she even know what it is??
