Of course I took a 4 hour nap today and missed almost all of the Juan/ Alyce action. I have been so bored with this trial the last 2 days that I even turn it off sometimes. I can't remember the last time I lost interest in a trial that I have been following so closely. Maybe never. The Susan Powell story, I backed off that one before the boys were killed. Now it just makes me sick to think about.

Jody is a real real strange person. WTF uses the word "Nay" (as she did in her diary)??? I am sick of people calling her a "Professional Photographer" too. She liked to take pics, mostly of herself from what I have seen, and had a camera. That makes her a professional? I have a friend who IS a prof. photographer, she works 6 days a week, is constantly editing and never has time to go on trips etc such as Jody does. If Jody was such a professional photographer she wouldn't have had to work jobs in food service, would she?

I also doubt she ever loaned Travis all that money. She even lied to herself in her own diary. Talk about psycho, who DOES that????

I know first hand, because I've SEEN it, in 2 separate relationships. How hard is it for people to figure out why Juan is making the Snow White comparison? Why can't the people on HLN get it? He is showing how ridiculous it is to discuss a fairytale as if it were real. Jodi's story is a fairy tale. He is laying a foundation to show that the LaViolette will discuss a fairy tale, the one by Disney and the one by Jodi Arias. She thinks she can diagnose Snow White based on fiction, just as she is diagnosing Jodi and Travis based on fiction. He is showing that LaViolette is willing to respond to his questions as if Snow White were real. A normal, sane psychologist would have immediately said "Snow White isn't real". But she didn't....she keeps answering his ridiculous questions. She looks like a fool. It is strategic on JM's part and I am not sure how people are missing this.

Juror #5 has as much right to be in the courtroom as you or I do, but she also has the same obligations that we would have. She is being escorted by the Judge's assistant and is probably waiting for the crowd to clear before leaving the courtroom. If the media is attempting to get her to speak, they are within their rights, but she has already said she won't speak until after the trial. She most likely already has an agreement for an exclusive interview (hopefully with Jean Casarez) and will give her interview at the appropriate time.

LaViolette is being exposed for the less-than-expert Domestic Violence Expert that she claims to be. She is not a psychologist or psychiatrist, she is just someone who has worked with and studied Domestic Violence and gives her opinion about those issues. She has no authority to diagnose a patient, she can only give her educated opinion as to what SHE thinks, based upon what she considers as important factors. In this case, she thinks Jodi's explanation of events is an important factor. (Oh, what a fool she is!) As Juan so eloquently pointed out, she can change her opinion any time, or base it upon anything she wants.

Jodi altered her journal after she slaughtered Travis. I wonder if there is a test that can determine how old the ink is on those pages. Perhaps there's a test to determine if the ink faded precisely the same on each page proving she wrote them all within a week or so.

Peter I agree with you about the journals. There have been a few with dates changed on them and other pages that were completely ripped out all together. She explained that away by saying that Travis made her tear them out after he read something negative that she had written about him.
As far as writing instead of typing out a journal. That book is a lot lighter than lugging around a laptop/notebook computer. I also think she liked it when people wondered about what she was writing. She's all about the way she looks and I think that's just another aspect of how she wanted the world to see her.

I didn't know that it was known that she changed the dates on some of her journal pages. I think she drug around her journal so others would think she was a scholar. Pretending to be highly educated was really important to her (memorizing Thesaurus words). It's odd that a 28-year-old was keeping a diary. What's even more freaky is that she filled it with her fantasies and not reality. She's
warped in so many ways.
