Alanna Gallagher details are horrifying and suspicious

The body of Alanna Gallagher, age six, was found about three weeks ago under a tarp in the middle of a quiet suburban street in Saginaw, Texas. Early reports indicate that her body was already beginning to decompose. Her head was covered with a grocery bag, and her hands and ankles were bound with tape. This new report shares some updated information about how the child was found, and it just adds another gruesome element to the case. She was reportedly found stuffed into a black garbage bag.
Who murdered this innocent child, and why haven't they been located by police yet? This case is mysterious and frightening, even though officials claim that this is an isolated crime. They have refused to label Alanna's parents as "prime suspects," but have focused much of their investigation on the family of three adults—all in a polyandrous relationship.

It should be noted that the parents did not report the little girl missing until after her body had been located approximately a mile from their home. Since the beginning of this case they have been under intense scrutiny, and for obvious reasons. Officials removed several questionable items from their home including leg and arm restraints and several pieces of electronic equipment—which detectives have declared may store evidence of a crime. What kind of crimes are detectives alleging the parents may be guilty of that they have stored within their electronics?

Are surveillance photos taunting the killer(s)?

Investigators released some security stills late this week depicting a dark colored car (black or possibly deep black-blue), and are asking the public for help in identifying the driver. It doesn't seem reasonable that officials would need help in identifying the make and model of the vehicle, so it probably wouldn't be very hard to do searches for all recorded owners of this car type in the Saginaw or Fort Worth areas—so why would they truly need the public's help? Is it at all possible that this is a sort of checkmate against the likely killer(s) of Alanna Gallagher?

This person is roaming the streets freely, going unpunished for a truly horrific crime. If this person sees his/her/their vehicle plastered all over the media via security footage, they may be more inclined to act out suspiciously or even go willingly to detectives.

Just how long was Alanna Gallagher missing before her body was located in the middle of a quiet Saginaw, Texas neighborhood? Multiple reports and discussion forums are sharing the detail that this slain child was already in stages of decomposition when her partially nude body was found beneath a tarp about a mile from her home. If she was already going through stages of decomposition, then how could she have possibly been missing for just a mere couple of hours?
It should be noted that the parents of this slain child didn't report her missing until after her body was located. Some have speculated that they might have seen the discovery of her body on the news, waiting until then to report her missing. While officials are being careful not to call the family prime suspects, it's downright suspicious that most of their investigation has focused on the trio -- a woman and her two male lovers.
It's downright outrageous that nobody has addressed the fact that Alanna's body was already starting to degrade when she was found, because this directly indicates that she was missing longer than her parents claimed. This would indicate that her parents are being dishonest. Unless, of course, these reports are false -- which happen in these types of cases from time to time.

Even though it was really hot out, I don't think decomp starts that quickly, does it? The mom and her female friend left at noon to run some errands (according to the friend) and the mom dropped the friend off at her home an hour away and didn't get back home until 4 pm.

This whole case is odd, the parents haven't been speaking out at all to plead for info on whoever killed their child. It seems to me, most parents usually do that. It's hard to say though, IMO cops already have someone in mind as a suspect since they stated no one else with kids needs to be worried.

I wondered the same thing about the body outside in the heat Sam. It probably wouldn't take that long for decomposing to start but the problem I have is how long is not that long?

The mother of Alanna Gallagher spoke to reporters Friday after someone set fire to the family car and a small memorial to the 6-year-old.

Remnants of the burned car were still evident in the driveway of the home on Friday afternoon. It's something investigators and the family certainly didn't need to deal with while the murder investigation continues.

Decomp starts 3 hours after the heart stops beating. Within 5 hours after the muscle tissue breaks down gas's set in and the body begins to smell. CSI

So if Miles let her go out to play at 4 pm, she went to a neighbor's house and that neighbor wasn't home, and then her body was found by 7 pm, that's not quite 3 hours.

I've seen since, though, that only one source originally had her body as "decomposing" and then other news sites like Gather.com copied that. They may have just been referring to the marks that show on the skin where blood starts pooling on the underside of the body.

Doesn't sound like there is any new news today at all. I wonder what they are waiting for?

Decomposition begins as soon as you die; it starts deep into the digestive system, where the intestinal flora [bacteria that live in our intestines and that are crucial for the proper functioning of the gut] begin to multiply exponentially and to feed on your internal organs, the same organs they helped protect when you were alive. This process is called autolysis and it begins as the dead body begins to cool off, a few minutes after death. The external signs of putrefaction [bloating, marbling of the skin tissue, swollen and protruding tongue, seepage of fluids from every imaginable orifice, odor of rotting meat] may start to show as soon as a few hours after death, depending greatly on the environmental factors surrounding the corpse. In general, a corpse lying out in the open and exposed to high temperatures and humidity can become completely skeletonized in as few as 10 days to a month, at the most. Areas of the body which have sustained injury or trauma decompose much more rapidly than those which are not injured. However, a corpse that's been carefully embalmed, put into a sealed casket and interred in a place where there's little moisture can be exhumed and still be nearly intact several months or even years after the demise.

Moment of Death:
1} The heart stops
2} The skin gets tight and grey in color
3} All the muscles relax
4} The bladder and bowels empty
5} The body's temperature will typically drop 1.5 degrees F. per hour unless outside environment is a factor. The liver is the organ that stays warmest the longest, and this temperature is used to establish time of death if the body is found within that time frame.
After 30 minutes:
6} The skin gets purple and waxy
7} The lips, finger- and toe nails fade to a pale color or turn white as the blood leaves.
8} Blood pools at the lowest parts of the body leaving a dark purple-black stain called lividity
9} The hands and feet turn blue {because of lack of oxygenation to the tissues}
10} The eyes start to sink into the skull
After 4 hours:
11} Rigor mortis starts to set in

13} Rigor Mortise begins to tighten the muscles for about another 24 hours, then will reverse and the body will return to a limp state.

16} In males, the spermatozoa die.
17} The head and neck are now a greenish-blue color
18} The greenish-blue color continues to spread to the rest of the body
19} There is the strong smell of rotting meat {unless the corpse is in an extremely frigid environment}
20} The face of the person is essentially no longer recognizable after 3 days:
21} The gases in the body tissues form large blisters on the skin
22} The whole body begins to bloat and swell grotesquely. This process is sped up if victim is in a hot environment, or in water
23} Fluids leak from the mouth, nose, eyes, ears and rectum and urinary opening after 3 weeks:
24} The skin, hair, and nails are so loose they can be easily pulled off the corpse
25} The skin cracks and bursts open in many places because of the pressure of Internal gases and the breakdown of the skin itself
26} Decomposition will continue until body is nothing but skeletal remains, which can take as little as a month in hot climates and two months in cold climates. The teeth are often the only thing left, years and centuries later, because tooth enamel is the strongest substance in the body. The jawbone is the densest, so that usually will also remain.

I have been trying to load a photo I did in Microsoft of the car in the drive way and the one on the street. They look very much alike. Blown up the one on the street looks like there is something blue in the back seat area.

The reason I think they allege the parents may be guilty of a crime that may be stored with their electronics, if you read the live journal of Laura's at celticdragonfly.com you will find info where Laura wrote in her journal about an article describing the difference between pedophilia and the desire for adolescents. This interested Laura and thought her husband would be interested too. Which husband I'm not sure but this were her own writing. So the thought of it is there.
All three parents were actively seeking additional sex partners on OKCupid.com. You have to join to see her journal. Laura posted on her profile that she had a female child who was in kindergarden. Why would that be of importance to someone on a dating service and why didn't she mention the other two children? Why only one child? Alanna told neighbors they were not allowed to talk about Poppa Miles. That's creepy.

Has there been anything said about her clothing she was wearing the day of her murder. Seems Miles and Laura would know what clothes she had on that day. Especially Miles because he last saw her at 5 according to some reports and a neighbor who said Karl last saw her at 5 which is impossible because Karl didn't get home till 8 that night. And Laura, if she got home at 4 that afternoon she should have seen Alanna at 5 that day also.

This is the mom's live journal under "Celtic Dragonfly" - she wrote an essay that gets into the difference between pedophilia and ephebephilia, the desire for adolescents.

Sam posted this strange info from the celticdragonfly when she started this thread.
I feel pretty certain LE is finding even more, if one of her husbands was interested in sex with children them finding child pornography wouldn't be that surprising at this point.
The leg and arm restraints really bother me.

I've heard no mention of the clothes Alanna was wearing the day she disappeared but you can bet LE is looking for them too.

On this Justice for Alanna fb site this woman says her daughter saw the tarp with the belt earlier in the day around 5:45!

D____P___: I can tell you I drove through the intersection at 430 and the tarp wasn't there... but when my daughter walked to her friends house it was there at 545... she didn't think anything of it. Then we drove back through at 730 coming from the store SPD had it taped off and my daughter told me she was worried BC there was a tarp with a belt wrapped around it at that exact spot. So we parked at her friends house and told the police the timeline we knew. Then we over hear them saying the little girl was from babbling brook, which happens to be the street my twin nieces live on and I freaked out. They played with her almost every day, and my kids went to school with her and her siblings... we are devastated... and worried about our safety BC there are no leads!! I will continue to pray that the investigation gets going and this EVIL CREEP is off our streets. Until then we will be in our house with the doors LOCKED!! This really hits WAY too close to home for us!!!

I think the police believe that she was killed before 4 pm. The two cars on that video that police want to speak with were in the neighborhood soon after the noon hour. Something interesting happened around that time. These cars may have nothing to do with the crime, but they may be witnesses to what was happening at Alanna's home. If Alanna was killed in her house, someone had to carry out out the body or tarp in daylight. Their cars are always sitting out front of the house. After seeing the photos of the trash and dirt on the floor of their home and the crap piled up, I think their garage was probably unusable (filled to the brim with crap). Since a car couldn't be brought into the garage, someone had to carry her body or the tarp out their front or back door. A folded tarp would be far less suspicious.

It is very odd that the girlfriend of Laura had to be driven back to her home. On that woman's twitter, anyone can see that she went to 5 million restaurants in the last month which means she owns a car. There isn't a subway in Saginaw, Texas. It is possible that her car was in the shop, but I question that.

Did Laura and her girlfriend leave Laura's home around noonish and go buy the supplies to wrap Alanna in the tarp?
I wonder if they then borrowed a friend's car or got a rental and returned to Alanna's home to wrap her up for disposal and place her where she would be quickly found.

Here a an interesting thought. Karl works for a defense contractor which has lots of cameras. He can't lie to the police if he wasn't at work. I have a feeling that Karl's two parasitic partners have lied to him and told him nothing about what happened while he was at work. If this is true, Karl came home from work and was sent out the door to look for his child whom his partners knew was dead. Ouch. Will Karl figure this out?

It's obvious why it hasn't it been announced that the parents passed a polygraph. They refused to take one or failed.

I wanted to note in the photo showing the back seat. It looks to be a head rest on the back seat of the drivers side and the seat on the passenger's side is pushed forward and you can see what looks like something laying behind the back seat on passenger side.

Crol'snest: Those could just be reflections on the car from whatever it is driving past. The purple thing that looks like a person's shirt was figured out to be just some leaves from a tree in the yard on another board. It shows up in the same spot on both car photos.

Yeah, nuts sounds pretty much what I'd think too. Either that or that they wanted to interject themselves into the investigation so they could keep track of the investigation. This person wasn't twittering. This person entered into a large forum and announced it.

Do we know if those relatives are out of town, or possibly live close to Alanna's home? I don't think I heard where the relatives live.

hummmmm... A large stadium or a forum with 30,000 members? That's a very confusing question Peter, can you elaborate? I feel like I came in one the tail end of someone else's conversation.
Where are you guys hearing all of this? I'm thinking it's a whole lot of speculation.
