"You have more than one person in the home in each case," Sheriff Toombs said, "So you have to make sure and verify who is going to be the one responsible."
Sheriff Toombs says this will be decided by a grand jury and for February the grand jury met the 17th more than a week before the child pornography was brought to light last Friday.

The computer Shawn is confirmed to have used at his mom's house (per 1/6/11 search warrant affidavit) contains images depicting children being raped. The memory stick found in Billie's bedroom contains images depicting children being raped. The CD found in Billie's house contains pornography (unclear wording in reported LE statement; I'm not sure if it was also confirmed to include child pornography).

The FBI has been focused hard on the computer/electronic forensics in this case since the electronic media was seized on January 6th or January 7th, imo. There was an incredible volume of deviant images found in the possession of Shawn Adkins and Billie Dunn. It is a crime to possess images of child pornography (possessing images of bestiality alone is still not a crime, if I understand correctly). There are so many images involved, there may be distribution/sharing charges as well, depending on the number of images that specifically include children, and what LE's investigation into other POIs has turned up.

I think the FBI has been working to verify the following in preparation for the grand jury and in anticipation of eventual defense strategies: (a) none of the children depicted in the images could possibly be of the age to consent, (b) no one other than Billie and/or Shawn could reasonably have been the owners/viewers of these images at Shawn's mom's house or Billie Dunn's house, (c) the origin/source files of the images and the location at which they were downloaded/transferred to the seized memory stick and CD.... If home grown porn is involved, the location where the images were taken and the ownership of the electronic device used to capture the images will be important in the case, imo.

Shawn Adkins has refused any statement regarding the pornographic evidence, on advice of his attorney. In her 2/26 interview with KTAB, Billie stated the computer at Shawn's mom doesn't belong to Shawn. She stated that the memory stick belongs to Shawn, but she doesn't know what was on "that" stick and Shawn told her he didn't put anything like that on there. "He is nice, he's kind and he's caring", according to Billie. Billie claims investigators haven't told her anything about the pornographic images. Billie still had only talked to Shawn about it "a little" at the time of the interview.

This will be very interesting. I think the deviant porn is directly related to Hailey's disappearance. At the least, the porn charges could be a motivator for Shawn and/or Billie to go back and answer LE's questions about Hailey's disappearance truthfully. Or, they could be another means by which to incarcerate one or both of them for a long time if they continue to be deceptive about Hailey's whereabouts (according to lie detector results listed in 1/6/11 search warrant affidavit). It will be very interesting to see if one or both of them will initially be charged and how they will react. This grand jury investigation and subsequent charges just might lead to Hailey's recovery; hoping, praying...

ABILENE, Texas -- Many are asking where are the charges or arrests to reflect the child pornography found in the home of missing teen Hailey Dunn.

KTXS caught up with Hailey's mom Billie Jean today at the home where investigators removed a memory stick containing 300 pornographic pictures some of those children, and yet no one has faced any charges and she's free to come-and-go as she pleases.

Her daughter 13-year-old Hailey Dunn was last seen at the same home more than two months ago and hasn't been seen since.

Child pornography was also found in Big Spring in the home of Shawn Adkins' mother. Shawn is Billie Jean's boyfriend.

COLORADO CITY, Texas -- Clint Dunn, father of missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn, says the last two months have been a nightmare.

He told KTXS News that having a child missing is the scariest situation a person could possibly imagine.

Hailey Dunn, a 13-year-old eighth-grader, hasn't been seen since Dec. 27, and Clint Dunn misses her.

“I just miss it all,” he said. “I miss her face. There’s no one particular thing; I miss her companionship.”

The ordeal, he said, has also made him stronger, and he has reason to be strong – for his daughter.

“I realize I’m the voice for my daughter,” he said.

Clint Dunn has had past entanglements with the law. He was in the Scurry County Jail two weeks ago on an unrelated, unresolved previous charge when national search teams showed up to organize a search for Hailey. An anonymous donor paid a fine to get him released.

He said, though, he doesn’t care about the personal embarrassment – and he doesn’t waste time defending himself or worrying about gossip and rumors.

“I’m focused on one thing,” he said. “My personal life, I don’t care. I’m focused on one thing.”

That one thing, of course, is finding Hailey and not allowing others to become distracted. His message: “Don’t forget. Hailey is still out there.”

Clint Dunn said the last two months have flown by as he has taken to the roads to get Hailey’s name and face in the public eye.

He said, “Every day goes by so fast like … ” – he snaps his fingers. “The days, they all blend. It’s been lightning fast.”

What drives him every day is the hope that Hailey will be found alive. This is why Clint Dunn declared that Shawn Adkins, the only named suspect in the disappearance, did nothing to his daughter.

Adkins, the former live-in boyfriend of Billie Dunn, Hailey’s mother, was the last person to have seen Hailey.

Clint Dunn doesn’t want the focus to be limited to a criminal investigation.

“You can’t be tunnel-visioned on this,” he said. “What if you’re wrong? And I’m convinced that you are wrong ’cause my daughter’s alive. She’s out there, and I’m going to find her.”

Clint Dunn’s comments were made the day before an affidavit revealed that images of child pornography were found on a digital memory stick in the bedroom shared by Adkins and Billie Dunn.

There were also more than 100,000 pornographic images found on a computer at the home of Adkins’ mother.

Separate grand juries in the two counties will decide what charges might be pursued in connection to those findings.

Clint is NO Ron Cummings. I actually feel some pity for him. He wants so badly to believe Hailey is alive.

I have noticed that when a child goes missing, the parents always believe their child is not dead. I think it's a coping mechanism..otherwise, if they really embrace the fact that their child is probably dead..they w/go crazy. This is MOO.

It was not until Marc Klaas went to CCity to assist Billie on 1/20 that she completely changed her feelings/outlook; "I know I can believe she is alive"; she was suddenly looking for a live breathing Hailey. Unlike Ronald Cummings and Billie Dunn, Clint has always been looking for a live breathing Hailey. I hope Clint's right; it would be the most wonderful surprise to so many people. He needs to keeping looking and hoping as long as there is the slightest chance that Hailey is alive (but I still wish he'd stop bagging on LE unjustifiably, imo)!

Billie is still scheduled for the blog talk radio interview tonight (but they changed the time twice). The site now says the show will begin in 45 minutes (4 p.m. PST).

It's starting.

Billie says that much of what is in the news is rumor. Billie was allowed to see some of the images on the computer......porn was on it. It's not her computer. Images of Billie and Shawn and their "private lives" in the bedroom were on the memory card. She didn't see any child porn, but didn't look at all the images. She saw child porn on the computer that wasn't in her house. She doesn't want to point fingers at the lady that owns the computer. She doesn't believe that the lady was looking at porn.....Shawn's mother.
Shawn treated her and the kids good. He wasn't physically abusive. She thought her life was finally good. Kids were able to get what they wanted for Xmas; they took trips.

Child services came after the tattoo on David and they interviewed both children and said everything was okay. She doesn't know where Hailey is and she wants her home. She's (my) BILLIE'S daughter. She wants her found! She never believed that Shawn knows where Hailey is and now doesn't know what to believe. She didn't see that in him but maybe there are lots of things that she didn't know about him. She has doubts about him because of the computer. She doesn't know any reason Shawn would hurt Hailey. They had been getting along. She is believing what LE is telling her about Shawn NOW. LE is giving her their theories about the ime he might have alone with Hailey and how he quite his job...... She is not 100% sure that nothing happened in her house between Shawn and Hailey. Many of her feelings have changed since this weekend. She stood behind him and now she has doubts.

The day before Hailey went missing they ate at 2pm and sat around and watched tv....just hung out and watched movies, etc. Nothing unusual happened that day beteen Shawn and Hailey.
Info on the web that Shawn has had an affair.....some of the pics that Billie saw were pics of Shawn and other women. Shawn had 'trust issues' and hopes that Billie will forgive him. Billie doesn't know how many other women there were. Rumors of Shawn sending naked pics of himself to other women......Billie heard about that but doesn't know if it's true.

Billie has not talked to Shawn today....he did text her this morning. She and Shawn are NOT together anymore. She saw him for the last time last Friday.
On thumb drive and computer; Computer had beastilialty and other porn on it. She is pissed off that people do that to children. On the memory stick there were pics of him and Billie, and pictures of other women.....not Shawn with other women. Host is explaining beastiality......sex with animals. Billie confirmed that those were the pics she saw on the computer.....she thought it was disgusting. She wanted to know what was on the computer so she did look, but was disgusted.

Billie is interested in horror films and comedies. She reads true crime stories and she is intrigued by a serial killers mind. She doesn't think it's strange that she reads these best selling books and watches the movies that others also watch.
Someone chatted to the host that as woman Shawn was having an affair and the woman is bragging about it all over the internet. Billie said that the affair was last summer and Shawn has told her to leave him alone.

When she found Hailey was missing she called her bother and sis in law to get a ride home from work. She came straight home, got her cell phone and started texting Hailey's friends. She went right to the police station because Hailey couldn't be located anywhere. That's when the nightmare began. The day b4 Shawn told her that Hailey had gone to MB. Billie told the police what Hailey was wearing bassed on Shawn's description of what she was wearing. It was three or four hours between Hailey being missing and when she talked to Shawn....then Shawn came home. I think she said that she couldn't reach Shawn's cell phone during that time.

Billie wants the polygrapher to make her feel comfortable, relaxed, and confident.

Billie says she failed the poly because of medication and having been told stressful news right before the poly. Billie is willing to take another poly. At first she didn't want to, now she wants to.....by someone different than the person that gave her the first one. She would like to do it now because she isn't as stressed as she was then.

In her own words, that he didn't look at child porn, that he's not going to cheat on her, and he wasn't involved in Hailey's disappearance she won't be with him.

Billie said Shawn told his mom that Hailey was missing at NOON. WTH? That's not in any time line. How would he know? Billie didn't even know until after noon on Tuesday, 12/28 when David told her Billie didn't stay at MaryBeth's. LE is definitely getting some stuff from this interview, imo...

Was Hailey sexually promiscuious? She definiately was NOT. Billie did have a birth control conversation with Hailey.....knew Hailey wasn't sexually active but didn't know if or when she might be.
When Shawn quit his job......Shawn left the house b4 she did that day. She rode to work with a friend. She checked and Hailey was in her bed. Got to work and around 3 or 4 Shawn called and said that David wasn't home and Hailey left for Clint's and MB's. Shawn picked her up from work, they went to her moms and came home and Davidd was home. Shawn hadn't told her anything about his quitting work until WEDNESDAY. First he said he was fired, then admitted that he quit. He intended to work that day and just decided that he didn't want to do it anymore and quit. He said he turned his uniform in when he quit......he left it in his locker at work....who knows, but that's what Shawn said.

Why did you paint your living room......"why does anybody paint their living room? The walls were dirty and it helped her to get her mind off Hailey for a few minutes at a time. She painted her living room because people paint their living room. She painted just a couple weeks ago.....her brain didn't function for weeks so it wasn't paint right after Hailey went missing....

She didn't ask Hailey to stay home that day....sometimes she rode with Billie to work and went to her Grandmas. If she stayed home alone she was expected to say inside the house.
Why hasn't Billie gotten a lawyer....... she hasn't done anything wrong, hopes all the truths will come out and her Daughter will be found. Again, she didn't do anything wrong to need a lawyer.

She got a new tv for Xmas a few days early. Normally she slept on the couch, but then started sleeping in her bedroom. Host asked if she had trouble breathing on the couch????? Billie said she didn't have asthma or a hard time breathing. Host heard that Shawn likes to make videos.....mentions the YouTube video "Slasher". There is a female in the video. She heard about the videos and saw what was on NG. The video says it's produced by Shawn and Billie. Billie says that that is wrong. Billie doesn't know who the female in the video is.

She doesn't know much about Cory, the cousin, and doesn't believe that Cory has anything to do with Hailey's disappearance. What about Shawn's fascination with pics and videos? Billie would send Shawn pics and she would. What pics???? BJ He has never taken videos of Hailey. Billie sent Shawn "sexy, I'm your girlfriend" pictures.

Donations???? Billie got a donation from Somer Thompson Foundation and paid bills and for something on David's car. She was given a van and still has it. Person giving van doesn't want to be identified.

Billie said that LE thinks that Hailey might have found out about "another woman" and that might have made Shawn want to hurt Hailey. She wants anyone that hurt Hailey to pay and rot in Hell. That person is sick and how dare they take her baby. Hailey never told her or Clint or acted that she was afraid of Shawn. Did Shawn stand in Hailey's doorway and scare Hailey? Not that Billie was aware of. Hailey did want to live with her dad when she was mad at Billie, Shawn or David. Then she would come home and say she was mad at Clint etc. Billie told her that she's not playing that game and she was going to stay home.
