I don't have a Facebook account, so I can't access it (which is alrighty by me).
The PR campaign continues; Shawn and Billie are getting as much notoriety as they can. Television, check. Radio, check. Blog sites, check. Social networking support pages, check. New HopeforHailey web site and merchandise, check (hey, may as well make a buck too). This is why I think Shawn and Billie keep talking to the public (but not LE) even though it's clearly against their best interests; they love the attention. They're hard-core addicts, imo. They can't get enough of anything that gives them a new high (drugs, drama, extreme sex, and now notoriety). I've yet to meet an addict who wouldn't lie his/her arse off for the next high. Narcissistic addicts; lie and believe that they are smarter than everyone who dares to disbelieve their lies so they keep lying (and enjoying it) in attempt to convince everyone else their lies are actually the truth, imo.
There's a big audience following this story now. Shawn and Billie have hit the big time, in their minds (imo). Beats the heck out of those crappy little youtube videos they were producing and starring in. JMO.

I've just read a few entries on the FB page. Some from Billie's family, aunt and cousin, who believe she is innocent. And another entry is spinning that Billie is an abused woman (shawn of course) . Hmmmm getting ready for a defense?

We are disappointed to report that we have been informed that there are no spaces, indoor or out, where we can set up a Hope for Hailey booth at the Rattlesnake Roundup this weekend. Would have been a great opportunity to reach a lot of people, but instead of dwelling on what we can't do, we need to keep our eyes open for things we can do. Thanks

Thanks Boston_Lady! What a crock. If it's okay with the Moderators here, I'd like to see some sample entries when you get time. As others, I suspect potential defenses are being set in motion for Billie and Shawn by their supporters before the grand jury(s) convene. Might add some insight on where the case is heading...

This is one of the earlier Nancy Grace interviews. It was the day that Shawn was named a suspect and the LE were searching the landfill. I don't think I had seen this Nancy Grace episode. In this Billie Dunn is sitting next to Clint and looks very stressed. This is also where she states she didn't know about Shawn's videos, only the mask. Hmmm. And yet she is in some of them?

Shawn Adkin's Cousin Says Adkins Did Nothing To Hailey Dunn
COLORADO CITY, Texas -- The cousin of Shawn Adkins, the only named suspect in the case of missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn, spoke out Tuesday declaring Adkins' innocence.
Over the phone, Corey Norwood told KTXS, "If the justice system works and cops do what they're supposed to and find her, then he'll be fine because I know he didn't do it. They just need to find her."
Hailey Dunn has been missing since Dec. 27.
Adkins is the only suspect named by law enforcement; however, authorities tell us they do have other persons of interest.
Norwood also said Tuesday he's upset that videos and pictures, which he says he made for school, have been aired both on the web and by local and national media.
The videos show him and Shawn in masks and with weapons.
KTXS has chosen not to air the content.
Norwood says his name is now being dragged into the case. "It's getting frustrating; people are starting to look at me different."
Norwood says he's been following the case and is shocked by the latest revelation about child porn being found at both the missing teen's home in Colorado City and at Adkins' mother's house in Big Spring.
Authorities say a grand jury will decide if any arrests will follow the discovery of the child pornography.

And, last week Billie admitted that LE confiscated a mask that Shawn had been collecting during her 3/3 BringThemHomeNow interview. Next night, Shawn claimed that Hailey wasn't afraid of his masks, which he owned only for display purposes, then said Hailey sometimes wore his masks when they were sitting around watching horror and comedy movies (3/4 BringThemHomeNow interview). If the purpose of the masks was only for trading and display, Hailey wouldn't be wearing them and Shawn wouldn't be wearing them in all of those videos. Lots of inconsistencies regarding the masks; gives me a bad feeling. Keep wondering if Hailey's DNA was found inside a mask(s) and that's why Shawn and Billie are now admitting there was at least one at the house and Hailey wore it. With all of the previous denials regarding the masks, don't think Hailey would have willingly worn them to lounge around watching movies with Shawn. Not buying that story....

-Corey now says the videos were for school. Sure thing. Wonder what school asks its students to film themselves and family members doing drugs and holding up bloody animal organs?
-Shawn said the videos were just for Halloween. But, there are many videos shot at different times of the year, IIRC.
-Billie denies seeing any of the videos except on Nancy Grace. But, she has producer credits on at least one.
The previously quiet family members seem to be coming out of the woodwork on Facebook and in the media. Hope one of them says something that actually helps the case and the effort to find Hailey (maybe if the reward money gets high enough?). There's enough useless dysfunctional drama from just the primary players in this case... I think Jeanne's right; folks in the inner circle are picking their sides and it's getting to be a jungle. I pray that at least some of these extended family members and associates have the decency to put Hailey first and provide LE with any information that might help, regardless of who's involved in her disappearance...

I guess we are to assume that Norwood took a class in Halloween and joking videos containing knives, dead farm animals and illegal drugs.
I wonder what he got as a mark for the class?

Pssssst Corey, when you display your "school work" to the universe by posting it on youtube, chances are people are going to see it. When your school work contains gory images of the prime suspect in a missing child investigation and you leave it posted, people are going to make some connections.

Interesting that Corey is coming to his cousin's defense after Shawn told BTHN that Corey was one of the people who used his mother's computer. And the only people Shawn said did "not" download the child porn/bestiality was himself, his mother and his brother.

It's strange. When asked, Shawn did say that Corey had been on his mom's computer "a couple of times". He left Corey hanging out to dry. LE said that they're investigating all those with access to both the computer and the memory stick in their process of elimination. So, Corey has presumably been questioned in regards to the porn. But, both Billie and Shawn firmly stated in last week's interviews that they don't think Corey is involved in Hailey's disappearance (their loyalty seemed odd - they've implicated everyone else, why not him?). Wonder if there's some negotiating going on between the suspect and possible POIs.

Just curious as to who SA will get to come forward next to speak on his behalf. Could it be he is running alittle scared right now with charges coming soon?
I have heard he and his attorney will speak soon. They are planning this before the Grand Jury meets, hoping to convince the members of the jury.

Hope for Hailey is a group made up of Hailey's family, friends, and other caring individuals whose sole purpose is to find Hailey. We are under the guidance of several other missing persons organizations. Hope for Hailey is in the process of becoming a non-profit organization. Once we have this status, all financial records will be public and transparent. Presently, Hope for Hailey has an account set up at a local bank which is funded largely through private, anonymous donations. The account has a board of directors made up of three individuals who where unknown to Hailey's family before she disappeared.
The money in the account is there to serve only one purpose - to find Hailey. The board of directors must approve any distribution of the funds as having a valid purpose, such as printing flyers. None of the funds in this account go to any individual, and no individual can profit from the use of the funds.
At this time, we are removing the "Merchandise" tab from the website. At some point in the future, we may put it back. Everyone needs to be aware that if Hope for Hailey does sell any merchandise, such as T-shirts, bracelets, hats, buttons, etc., the money to have these items made will come out of the Hope for Hailey fund. And 100% of any profit made will go right back in to the fund. The sole purpose of selling any merchandise will be to replenish the Hope for Hailey search fund.
Any merchandise sold by Hope for Hailey will have the official black and white logo on it. Only Hope for Hailey is authorized to use this logo.
We sincerely hope that speculation of individuals profiting in any way by any undertaking of Hope for Hailey will cease. Everyone involved in Hope for Hailey has only one goal, and that of course, is to find Hailey.

His profile says he earned an AA degree in d.i.d. (Digital Imaging and Design) from Texas State Technical College in Abilene. The course involves the use of Adobe products like Photoshop and DreamWeaver for graphic design, web design and imaging enhancements. The focus seems to be on the gaming industry for this AA. It's not a drama class or a class in theater arts. FWIW, I used to work for Adobe, the software taught in this course would not be used to make or edit his posted videos, imo. Such videos wouldn't fit the published course curriculum either.

Added: The software he studied enables the user to embed one image into another, increase/decrease features in photo, alter the appearance of a subject to look younger or older... These are common tools used in the pornography industry. Shawn named Corey as one who has access to his mom's computer in his 3/4 BTHN interview. It may not be connected in any way to the case, but, imo makes it even more important that the FBI technologists verify all the illegal images are authentic (not digitally-altered from legal images) before filing charges. Takes a while, but will make the case stronger if false (or valid) defenses for some/all of the images are anticipated in advance. JMO...

Good to see the HopeforHailey.org team was pushed into removing the merchandise tab, for the time being. It should not have been there until they have the proper non-profit status in place anyway. You questioned the merchandise profit allocation early on; you were right! The proper safeguards were not in place. The letter posted above from HopeforHailey.org implies (to me) that those who questioned the merchandise sales should feel some kind of guilt. Like, how can we question the intentions of well meaning family and friends who claim that all profits were earmarked to help find Hailey? I feel relief, not guilt. Everyone wants to find Hailey; I'm glad that there are lots of caring eyes making sure that any donations/contributions/profits will go only towards doing just that; finding (and not exploiting) Hailey.

ARLINGTON — It's a criminal case that reverberated across America 15 years ago: Amber Hagerman was kidnapped while riding her bike.
The 10-year-old's body was found in an Arlington creek four days later. Her throat had been slashed.
Amber's killer never found, and after all these years, detectives are still assigned to the case.
Now police confirm are working a new lead following a child pornography bust in a small Texas town.
While thousands of leads in the Amber Hagerman case have come and gone, these days investigators get about six tips a year — including a recent one from police in Ennis, where investigators arrested Sharon and Buddy Anderson for allegedly creating child pornography.
"We've got close to 200 VHS tapes," said Ennis police Sgt. Mark Mahoney.
The videos and photos show graphic images of small children and were discovered inside the Andersons' Ennis apartment.
At the same time, investigators also stumbled across a new witness who is now working with Arlington Police.
"We're just feeding them the information," Mahoney said. "Hopefully something we're giving them will help."
Neither police department is discussing the exact nature of the evidence, but Ennis investigators confirm they've contacted police in Arizona, trying to reach a man who used to work in Arlington in the mid 90s.
Amber's mother, Donna Norris, just learned the news over the last few days.
"If you get too excited and too hopeful, it's a lot harder to bring yourself down from that," she said.
This has been a true test of patience for her family — balancing their sorrow with hope for new leads in the unsolved case with a renewed sense of hope that her killer can be brought to justice.
"My daughter fought for her life," Norris said. "I knew she was a hard fighter then, and I'm not going to give up on her. I love her to death; she's my baby; I'll never give up hope — never."
And neither will police.
Arlington still has a detective assigned to the Amber Hagerman case, and we're told he is the one working on this intriguing new lead.
